Gets me every time lol
It does put a smile on my face :)
Though they seem to be missing the gap between Pete/Lee’s generation against Digital Jon. Someone in the late 30s new coming to digital tech but more comfy with it since we sort of grew up in the early days of tech. Amstrads, Windows 95 so on
Hope they never stop doing that intro
John and Pete really go well together in these 'digital stuff' videos. Great demo.
so true
Yes!!!!
I remember "Allo Allo", which ran on PBS in the United States -- British comedy totally shaped my sense of humor!
(And the robotic "DIGITAL JOHN" callout continues to make me laugh!)
That Digital John graphic ruins me every single time.
Allo Allo is still played on UK Gold or Yesterday or Drama TV here in the UK
Ah these father and son moments are precious, lol.
Aren't they just 😜😂
John has such a good tone in his hands!! More of digital John and Pete please!!!!
I agree
Yep, agree!
Danish Pete's "I don't know what I'm doing here" is actually quite helpful because we'll get some idea for how intuitive the interface is.
I honestly didn't and as you can see it was super easy to just press stuff and find out!
And not need a 200 page manual to see how stuff works😄
Wow, that thing sounded way better than I thought it would! Even the reverbs and delays were pretty nice
Digital John is awesome. It’s a moniker to wear with pride. I’m a fan :)
Great video ! It is simply amazing the amount of power and variety of effects they can include in such a small package these days. Absolutely boggles the mind.
'Allo 'Allo was awesome Pete.
Okay that's one of the better multieffects i've seen for that price from a practical aspect, love the intuitive touch controls for the presets! Also great to see Pete just dig into it and making great sounds from just fiddling around a bit, great way to demonstrate how well designed the interface is.
I could watch Pete and John tweak gear and rock out several times a week .
Alo Alo was a great show. Pete has a good memory. Nice video guys.
I am actually very impressed the way this thing sounds. And I am QC touring and recording owner. Like i would use this as my backup setup any minute, its good enough.
Love John and Pete’s forays into digital.
Allo' allo' is such cool a tv-series. Rene and his twin brother Rene... I have the complete collectors edition!
I bought an Ampero Mini last month here in France and love it. It's a Swiss Army knife on my compact pedalboard. It's a scaled down Ampero II, but has what most people use and at a real budget price. I paid 199 euros, which made it a no brainer. It accepts my other pedals well, like the new Kelley HALO, DOD chorus and expression pedal. By far the thing I like the most is the touch screen interface. I've waited years for guitar effects to catch up with iPhone technology. Two thumbs up.
Hello! Is it true by pass the pedal? I want to use the pedal for some effects but I do not want to affect my clean signal from the others pedals!
This made me look into the Ampero II Stomp and grab one of those. This looks really good, but I think I'd prefer having the knobs and the extra switch. Definitely excited to give it a go!
Just got this pedal and I LOVE it!!
I would love to see Pete go down the digital road, I would definitely buy some of his presets ^^
Pete has some very nice patches for the Katana. That is digital.
I think he has one for some of the UA pedals as well like the Ruby
@@DebowyMocnyall digital amps are solid state but not all solid state amps are digital. there is a difference
@@KenithCopeland I understand the difference. Katana is a solid state amplifier with a digital effects circuit. It doesn’t really matter at the end of the day as long as it sounds good, and Pete’s patches for Katana are indeed very good.
Great product- great price - great demo too
Great video! Thanks guys!
Love how John is so young that he doesn't know the Rosanna solo that Pete starts singing at 10:15, and just chuckles and moves on to something totally unrelated!!
Sounds incredible
I have to say this was a pretty cool demo reel for Pete to get a job at HOTONE making their presets. The person that made the original is probably off in a corner somewhere. Cool bit of gear, great video
bring it on I say 😂😂
I have this unit. The JCM sounds are amazing.
I definetly remember Alo Alo, it was on Belgium tv here in the Netherlands.
I want to see Digital John vs. Analog Captain: Boss Me-90 vs. this tiny little thing. The price is right (on this battle)!
Pleasantly surprised!
"Listen very carfully, I will say ziss only vonce" Allo allo with Rene set in WW2
Man this little multiFX is ALMOST perfect. The only thing I'd really like is a single knob that adjusts whatever you tap. So you tap mix on your reverb and then you can use the knob. Then tap mix and use the knob, etc. the little touch sliders are finicky, especially since you can't really see it while you're sliding, and the little + - buttons presumably go up and down 1 at a time. Other than that this thing looks fantastic and I'm almost certainly going to have to get one! For only $220 I can't afford not to! :D
Pete & John nice combo for pedals.
this is a convenient pedal for the price. I plugged it into the clean channel into my Marshall dsl5cr and it sounded okay, but incomparable to the distortion channel boosted with an Ibanez ts mini. However, it comes with a tuner, a drum machine, enough ambient effects, and usable distortion sounds. Also, you can use it with an iPad to conveniently record your own guitar sound to detect small glitches in your playing.
i really think i might get one as a practice tool or a small gig amp box instead of taking out my valve amp head and box, or, even as a back up should my amp fail. there's lots to like with these units, and they keep getting more natural sounding. And, Pete likes it, so must be good.
Sounds great. I have a pod go and never use it because I can't get used to the controls. I would be happier with that, touch screen is where it's at
I don't know about you, Pete. But I think the 1st patch sounds great! 🤘🏿🤘🏿
What don't you know? Ask me and I'll tell you.. 😉
gorgeous outro
I was rinning down to the shiteau with my knockers down...
5:20 Pete speaks for the entire guitar world goddamit👍👍
Right!!!! It's all about the presets!!!
Hey hey Pete thanks for the reply !I couldn’t agree more I would love even just five quality presets hopefully they listen 👍👍✌️
@@dieseldes1301 Thank you. If they asked I would do it... I'd do it for free too!
Basically Pete is saying I don't like arena shred sound. You don't get excited about it because you are cooperate blues community
@@christopherwalker2097 what???????
Sounds fine.
I was torn between this (but in ampero 2 format) and Mod Dwarf, i got the latter and im also very happy!
Almost the same in-out, but the options with the plugins are endless. Guitars sound rowdy and full, cut through the mix very well.
I can practice with my dad on bass and guitar at the same time on the same device, while using the AidaX on guitar with IR, drive and convolution reverb, combined with bass amp and IR with compressor. About 65% CPU with that patch, so with a room to spare some additional effects. I could perhaps add drums or a looper and have the perfect bass-guitar duo practice setup. It also does synths, and audio to CV so the options are endless. But the ampero is also great with that price!!!
Danish Pete is correct, Allo Allo was pure genius 😂
'Allo 'Allo is probably one of the funniest series I've ever watched.
Can you guys do a video about Ampero Mini from the context of a bass player?
It's like Pete forgot he had to like it😂
Pete likes what he likes 😜
does the software/editor for Ampero Mini work seamlessly on MacOS? (I am running a MacBook Air M2) TIA :)
I was thinking of getting one of these. I picked up a Valeton GP200 LT and am giving that a go. Interested in the comparison.
It seems like the same thing, like Android on so many different brand of devices
I had the Valeton but sent it back. Didn't like the high gain sound. Had some unnatural sounding textures for my taste. Now I have the Ampero Mini, which is much better in that regard for my taste.
Allo, allo! We have it on DVD 😂
5:26 I absolutely agree. I got the Line6 HX Stomp and it sounds awesome. But damn, were the presets garbage.
Hotone Ampero Mini or VALETON GP-200JR? Which one should I go for?
Is there a time subdivision option in the delays?
Sounds good, great mids... but, how does it feel? Almost everything sounds good these days:)
A multi-effect for ants. Really cool, could save a lot of space on a board.
These guys are so good 🤓 I fuckin love it
Thank you for this guys! Can you tell us the signal chain? How are you listening in the room? Thanks
Forgot to say please.
Hello! Is it true by pass the pedal? I want to use the pedal for some effects but I do not want to affect my clean signal from the others pedals!
Can we use it as main floorboard for live stage shows? ...(Not gigs)
Please do a video on how you actually start with making all of the connections.
I received mine about a week ago, and I really like it. Sounds great and really easy to use. There's some things with the interface that I would've preferred, but overall, it's well worth the $300 Australian that I paid. I don't think I would've gone to $400, which is what the price was before the eofy discount.
hey. is there a way to control it through midi? Two buttons are not a lot if I want to use it in live setting...
@VMinoda I haven't gotten into midi with it yet, but I've just received an email from Hotone that is providing upgrades to the (midi) firmware of a 4 button footswitch, so I think it is midi controllable, but you'd need that footswitch.
@@castleanthrax1833 great, thanks!
@@VMinoda ✌️🇦🇺
Im so pround! this from China ,my homeland
I agree Pete. I am tired of crappy stock presets. They are not hiring musicians to hone these in properly. Spend the money manufacturers or we ain't buying!!! Thanks for being honest Pete! o7🎸🇺🇸
In Sweden it was called Allå Allå emliga armén 😊
Wanna add Mr Anderton, you seem to be selling this at a higher price than your competitors btw.
When will you guys demo the Ampero II Stage?

the reason effects are over the top is because you can always reduce it with your guitars volume pot. So it’s there if you need it
Every time I end up not finding the right pedal after buying several even a Strymon and hating it, LOL. I ask Dave Friedman . yes that Dave. 100% of his choices are an 11 out of 10. He has the regular Ampero. He says it sounds great and you do not have to read the manual, period! My guess is this could be an even better answer to those like me who hate modeling but have got into the DAW thing and this seems like the perfect accessory. As for live I will stick with my Plexi. 😇
Wondering if this would be in some way compatible with the Ampero Control....
It's compatible, but via USB
13:00 “Vintage Rack”, you totally expect what comes next is a Big Muff. They liked their fuzz back then 😏
Does anyone know what they plugged it into to hear it in the room?
“I was joost pissing your door”
"I have the G1Four. Regarding the Amps? Is it worth switching to this Mini Ampero? Thank you very much!!!"
Should I purchase the Hotone Ampero Mini or the now discounted Boss ME 80 modeller? Cheers
@@BkBk-gy6vr it's more expensive than the other x2 choices. I'm a aware that the ME 90 is on the market now. Thanks all the same.
@@keithb5612Just save for another couple of months and get the ME-90 then. The amp/effects modelling is so much better on that unit than the 80.
A nice change of pace from the recent "Lee and Pete desperately try to appear enthusiastic about digital stuff" ;)
I don’t think you can move the effects chain on the original ampero can you
Complex little box. Does these work on a bass to?
It should. Even without dedicated bass amp models you can use it, pretty much all modelers have the Fender bassman included.
Look at pete being all digital and that
Can this run on 9volt battery?
Club!
🔥
Would be realy great if it had a fx loop
Good to see Pete be honest about that first preset. It was a bit much. Each player needs to find their own sound with these units It’s a sweet little toy
I'll spend hours on making patches (yes literally) and this looks easy to use. I also like the design. If this was £150 or less I'd probably buy one, but the gear thats available nowadays for the £200 plus mark, means it has a bit of competition imo. I guess you're paying a bit more for the menu touchscreen.
Allo Allo is up there with Dad's Army, Some mothers do av em and Only Fools and Horses
Hello. How is it possible that we use stereo sound with only one cable? Greetings from Poland.
Ok...
I just now figured out that the output jack is stereo
🤟🤟🤟
Did Pete like the very first patch?
I am not so sure... Did you? :)
@@danishpete not so much..
Pete: I remember Allo allo
Hotone owns Valeton
All color just fine a acordding a functionality
Wow £200+ for this you could get a Valeton for cheaper, it’s that touch screen with seems
To be spiking the price on these
Pretty amazing for $200US, then add the $25US M-Wave Chcolate midi controller
Why pay top dollar for the High End Effects Processor's when this is all most would really need? I'm referring to Bedroom/Basement Warrior's
If i wanted to use this with my amp could this be a multi effects only unit?
Yes. I own it and there is a global setting to turn of amps and cabs.
@@gregorylocker6940 great thanks, will be really useful then
Ohu Rene!
Good Myrning
"i will say this only once"
Pete keeps pressing the Bass mid and Treb, and the plus minus appears above and he ignores them and still thinks hes changed stuff???
Looks to me like they're for fine tuning and you can still change the value by sliding on the bit he is touching.
I honestly have no idea what I'm doing 😜😎😂
"You stupid woman!!!" I laughed...
hi guys tis i leclerc
cheers and allo allo lol,
