Very Very Nice Video on Brake Kit Install. Couple of tips: For the rusty hub areas, after you clean with a wire welders brush, take a makeup sponge and apply a few drops of gun oil to the sponge and go over the areas that rust. Next time it should be clean. Always inspect the rubber gasket in the Motive cap to reservoir fitting for cracks. And inspect the line to tank fitting. If there is even the smallest crack, it will leak fluid under pressure and there will be fluid everywhere. Place a beach towel over the area where the Motive Tank and the Motive line sits. Have a small mister bottle filled with clean water handy along with thin cotton shop towels, in case there are Fluid sprays or drips. you can just mist the water on any painted surface hit by brake fluid areas and wipe clean. I also always mist the finished caliper bleed area with water and wipe with a clean cotton towel. Then with a clean shop towel, apply a light coat of simple green on the caliper. This light slick coat of soap will deter future brake dust build up.
For everyone seeing this. I use the brake valve rubber stopper cap to stop the fluid from dripping and allowing air to get into the fluid lines connected to the car.
Just put the larger M-performance ones on, the M2C upgrade, 6piston front/4 rear, use the steel discs not ceramics 400 mm discs front, 380mm discs rear…. Including the brake shields, pads etc £7500👌 This kit in weight is actually lighter than the standard brakes before anyone says anything about weight!
@@KiesMotorsports oh now I understand. Thanks. I just ordered the f8x bbk upgrade for e90 m3 for occasional track duty couple days a year. I hope they can perform. I see your AP and also Stoptech and wonder if I am making a good investment?
@@KiesMotorsportsBrembo really *doesn't* make AP Racing. Granted, Brembo now owns AP but they still very much function as separate companies. No hate on either, they both make some great stuff. I've had AP kit on my cars for years. If you visit them in Coventry you'll see some incredible stuff being made there - I was lucky enough to meet a few of their engineers when they used my car to develop a kit for retail.
Does it have dust sealing for street use ? I have a cheap K - Sport BB kit on my Miata, was the only set availiable with the dust sealing and street legal in Germany. Works well so far since 2016.
Setup looks great! But what's wrong with the stock setup? It is already a big improvement over the previous generation E90/92 M3 with the sliding calipers. Also with the AP Racing setup, it is really necessary to have such large diameter (i.e. heavy) rear rotors, seeing as most of the stopping power would come from the front?
question please help! I bought my car with these brakes already installed and in my state the car needs to pass inspection to be able to get tags and tittle. it failed inspection because of the brake because they could find what was the discard thickness on the rotors. I went of their website and it doesn't say anywhere. do you happen to know this info? the "discard thickness" is the thickness at which the rotor should be replaced. if you can help I would really appreciate it!

My 340i sure could use those old F80 calipers! I could pick them up I'm local! lol
Whoever thought a video about changing brakes could be so mesmerisingly relaxing.

The front kit is the same weight as OEM and the rear set is 10 lbs lighter?

Thanks for the link on the brake kit
But all together for 4 it would be the same amount my car cost 😂
the disc in the front is the same exact size as stock but till good
Hi there I was looking to purchase the brake kit fitted to your m3, but when I clicked on the link it took me to a kit labled for a e90
The best job man 🙏👍
Great video. Awesome tattoo 😁👌🏻
Would these fit on an f30 just curious 😅
Brilliant video bro. Thank you.
do you need to remove the caliper and rotor to remove/replace dust shield?
Great video. Thanks

I don’t think you have to worry about that, I’m pretty sure that AP racing’s engineers have thought of that 😉

if you can help I would really appreciate it!
Did you have to bleed them with INPA? Cheers
I looked hard at that kit but hard to justify $4k to upgrade already great brakes.
Great content 👍
23:16 - Are you sure you didn't mean 5mm?
Update: You're right, it is 6mm on the rear as opposed to 5mm on the front.
I have the standard Bosch system on my f36, would I be able to install m sport callipers?
Awesome video 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
does it also work on f82 m4?
Could someone use an air vacuum bleeder instead?
The man started this brake job with a 2x4
how much it cost , thanks
Does this also fit on a 440i?
Can u do this on a e92?
What torque wrench is that you're using?
Summit tools
@14:46 That's what she said
