  • One of the great things about our AP Racing by Essex Radi-CAL Competition Brake Kits is that our clients have several options when choosing their calipers. Caliper choice depends on how and where you plan to drive your car, what wheels you're running, and how much unsprung weight you'd like to save. In this video we explore the similarities and differences between the calipers in our front Radi-CAL Competition Kits, so you can more confidently choose the option that will best meet your specific needs.

Appreciate the video and information, but we also need AP racing brake fluid explanation and why it might still be a better choice than other brands.

Thanks for the info! For those of us coming from OEM 6 pot front calipers, the more info the better. I've got the BMW M2 Competition with stock big brakes, and I'm looking to find smaller calipers with the same pot number. I want to size down to 18 inch wheels but these calipers are way too big to go below 19 inch wheels. I think my best option is to just call and talk to an expert like yourself. 😊

Yes, our complete system for the M2 Competition fits inside 18" wheels, which is why many of the track rats prefer our setup. It also saves over 35 lbs. of unsprung weight vs. the stock brakes!

Is the wider caliper not also stiffer?
