- Want to have more private class students? Then do a free trial class to your potential students!
What’s a trial class?
A free class that gives your potential students an experience of your class! it proves your worth (class fee) and allows you to assess the student's language level
Private classes may require MORE work from the teacher but you will be able to SET YOUR OWN RATE!! Your trial class is an opportunity to sell yourself. Think of it as a TV commercial, a social media post or a billboard that shows what you can offer your potential students! :)

I am using the free version of Classin.
Where are my students from?
China. Taiwan and Japan
Do I get students from Native Camp? (my ESL company)
NEVER. This is what I do our of respect, I never offer private classes to my NC students.
How do I get private class students?
These were previous students of mine from other ESL companies I have worked for. many have also “discovered” me through social media like TH-cam and WeChat.

I download them from FB groups, some I have purchased from private teachers too. You may search "ESL teaching materials" on Facebook or Google and join ESL groups. There are tons of materials available. You can also try to explore the website of Eiken if you are teaching Japanese students

Unfortunately, I don't as of the moment. You can check out the FB Page ESL Materials, they sell books and they are categorized from beginners to advanced learners. I got some of my books from them too. I can't share their materials because it will hurt their business. I got it for like 500-700 only.

I purchase my materials online. There are teachers in the Philippines or Facebook pages/groups that sell ESL materials. You may also download free ESL materials online.

I am! so far so good :) I love this company, salary is great, company's NOT demanding
Does knowing Japanese helps?
Yes it does but you have to use it with caution, just when the student really needs translanguaging. Sometimes adult students do not appreciate it when we speak their language when they expect us to speak English. So... it's a case to case basis.
