At this point coh2 salt has become a feature, not a bug anymore.

There is no way for okw to deal with a penal sniper build without going for the same god dam meta JLI commanders over and over again.
So i kinda relate to the blobbing strat when your hand is forced.

its kinda cringy seeing someone salting about sitting while blobbing so hard... anyway I think its quite impressive how you was able to hold him back at least during the first half of the game considering he went for triple light vehicles, some pretty top tier mg positioning from you and beautiful original kind of build order, really fun game to watch, thanks TR :))
Is it really impressive to be able to deal with the luch? the literal shittiest tank in the game using the perfect counter to light vehicles?
What was more impressive is how he dealt well with the ober blob his mg game was on point.
But throwing away the 2 shermans kinda cost him the game in the long run.

a katyusha would have been a better choice to counter those blobs
Yes and no. At this level of play, the Katyusha mostly works against team weapons, because they can´t retreat instantly. Using it against blobs is kind of hard, because the blob makes an obvious target. As soon as the guy hears the rockets, he will immediately assume they are going for the blob, and either dodge or retreat. You can try to risk point-blank Katyusha to reduce the delay between the sound and the hit, but that makes your Katty extremely vulnerable.
OMG the finest example of OKW blobs! 8:05 well what else should I expect from that faction.
Yeah, that is extremely frustrating to play against. I often have an amazing start, and then the OKW player just blobs up his entire army and wipes one or two of my units because of the insane DPS. Units in blobs should have a *massive* received accuracy penalty. Either that, or have the damage from one squad also transfer to the others who are nearby, because it´s kind of realistic that bullets would go through multiple models in this situation.
@@jirkazalabak1514 that's actually a really great suggestions for a patch.
@@syakiringhani11 Sadly, patches for this game are over. It´s not too late to implement it into CoH3, but I don´t think they´re going to do it, because noobs would complain too much.
@Steiner 01 As annoying as those builds are, they at least require some skill to pull off. Clown car requires you to be careful not to get fausted, the Sniper is a major drain on your micro just because how fragile it is, and even MGs require a lot of predictive positioning if you want them to work well.
What does blobbing require? Just build your squads, march them to the enemy cut-off, and use your Kubel or Sturms to cap behind the lines. If you encounter MGs, you can just de-crew them from the front. If you get targeted by rocket arty, just dodge away and continue. If you meet tanks, have 1-2 Raketens behind the blob to snipe it. It´s a no-brain strat, and it is way too effective for how simple it is, which makes it toxic as hell. It´s almost as bad as the Brit emplacements when they were first introduced.

Meh, tr's handling of his medium vehicles was pretty bad.
Also interested in why you did not get the lend lease troops with zooks? I think that they would be better to beat back the luchs nonsense that was going on mid game.
Not sure about luchs, since Lend lease guys are quite bad when it comes to chasing light vehicles (they can't snare). But against big targets, like King tiger - land lease guys excell.
Lend Lease Zookers are similar to USF Paratroopers. What I like to do with Paratroopers is to give them bazookas so they can defend against medium and heavy vehicles, but rely on light vehicles like the Stuart, Greyhound, M8A1 or the M15 Half-track to finish them off, that or the P-47 Rocket Strike ability.
I hate using Riflemen, AT Guns or Shermans because they are sluggish; it'd make more sense to use such units if I was playing with the Soviets. Paras, Mines and Lights are enough to deal with enemy armor since, even if you can't kill them outright, Mediums and Heavies take a long while to repair.
An enemy that isn't using the tanks it's got is about as good as one that doesn't have any tanks at all.
As a mandarin speaker I'm so sorry for the toxic player of our people, he lack of sportsmanship, hope you can defeat him without mercy next time you see him as a punishment😉
Extremely good game. I really wanted to see that guy get his just desserts. I wonder if there's a penal model that needs the PTRS in order to enable the satchel and that was the model that happened to lose the weapon - pretty weird since I usually use my regular penals to pick up a PTRS so they still have 5 svts but have a satchel ability.
That PTRS penal not having the vehicle satchel was some BS
Finally. After so long, I have finally found proper video with penals.
PS: Big question - why not use AT Assault infantry? They are the best antitank unit SU have access to.
I've never seen this bug on ptrs penals before. I thought you only needed one ptrs to have acess to the satchel.
I wonder if there's a penal model that needs the PTRS in order to enable the satchel and that was the model that happened to lose the weapon
@@Ashmole3 You probably need to have the full upgrade to be able to use it. He could have re-purchased the PTRS, but he chose not to.
He is sometimes really stupid, in a second I realized that you need to have 2 PTRS to be able to throw an armor-piercing charge. And he fell out, because you can see that the upgrade is available...

uuh, lend lease...I discovered that one for myself recently too for playing against OKW...I find it almost disgustingly strong to have access to penals and that awesome MG...it outclasses OKW completely...and that sherman...Im not sure but it could be even better than the T34/85

Only reason this trash talker was in this game at the end was because of his Tiger King. The end game tank all OKW players get for no fucking reason. Should be locked behind commander pick. Less fuel cost and less it’s fucking stupid health pool.

Great game to watch, I noticed you use the tac map a lot. Surely you don’t use Num 0?
I myself have it mapped to "^" left to the "1". Look up the freeware "AutoHotkey" and a guide on how to use it, it is quite simple. I am assuming, TR uses it or something similar as well.

What up with the penals not being able to throw sticky satchel?
Unfortunately losing the shermans negated your momentum, otherwise you would have crushed him. I always thought OKW should be nerfed in terms of King Tiger and Obersoldaten which should be doctrinal troops so you can't have both. OKW is advertised as a strong offensive early game faction while it has the best non doctrinal late game units which does not make sense.
Ehhh more or less. Obers bleed you a lot of mp. And when you go for a Katy with wipe potential they feel like the most useless 400 mp. Like you said, tr threw the game after losing medium after medium for no real reason.

Its because u picked up a PTRS rifle from the floor, u did not physically do the upgrade?
they lost a prts but i didnt know they lose the sticky satchel.
I honestly think that mightve been a bug. Penals only need to have 1 ptrs to have acess to the sticky satchel.
@@tazzioboca yeah but like, is it not when u hover over the upgrade, it say u get Gun + bombs or? dono never used em. Cuz that would mean, if u simply pick it up, the rest of the upgrade not there.
@@louisnel894 it happened to me before. I had an unupgraded penal squad that picked up a dropped ptrs from another penal and it got acess to the snare.

Him losing all his mediums kinda threw a wrench at his build. He needed to counter the ober blob more than he needed to kill the kt.
