Thanks for the review, l really like camo as it doesn’t show and chips or dents as much.

True that, camo is more durable than solid colors

I love my rx5 ultra it's the first hoyt I have bought. This was the first year I like what they had to offer and I said I would never buy a carbon now until I shot this one.

Great video I'd say, you have good information and I like it. You said you are from Canada in one of your later videos I am curious what area you live? I am from Southern Minnesota it's mainly deer here and in gun season you can only use a shotgun for good reason it gets crazy especially on public land. It's one on the reasons I hunt from a saddle to stay up and far away from gunslingers.

I live in Toronto, which is not ideal for hunting, as there are 5 million people in the area.

Great review as always. How would you compare the rx5 ultra to the pse evl 34 on draw cycle. My choices are between the rx5 ultra, ventum 33 and the pse evl 34.

I haven't had a chance to shoot the EVL 34. I shot the NXT 33 last year and that draw cycle was sensational.

I went to a shop specifically to buy a Hoyt RX5. Tried it and a couple of other bows, ended up walking out with a Mathews V3 31. Felt and shot so much better in my opinion.

biggest difference between the Ventum 33 and the RX5 Ultra: max. DL is 31" for the Ventum and 32" for the Ultra ...that's a very costly 1 inch more ....(the Ultra has a 7" / longer brace height so might be the more stable shooting bow in this comparison).

There is something wrong whit the hdr colors, is it just me? All archery talk videos look washed and grey

I shoot everything on my phone. I'm limited by the fine people at Apple.

@@ArcheryTalkVideo just learned that youtube hdr10 does not work well on 8bit pannels on the app, so no more archery talk from youtube app for me, watching from browser now. Bottom line: is not you, is google and cheap phones

Efficiency numbers have maxxed out with available limb materials. Carbon bows weigh as much if not more than aluminum bows of 15-20 years ago. Draw cycles are no smoother than bows that are two decades older for speed gains that can be measured on half a hand. Prices have nearly tripled for all manufacturers in 10 years.
Animals aren't any more dead and average target scores haven't increased.
What exactly is the advantage of ever buying a new bow????
Archery had it's heyday in the late 90's to about 2010 when companies really pushed the limits to make outstanding products and raise standards. It seems they have all just been riding the coattails of their engineering glory days for too long.

Isn’t the riser made in China?

I don't know the answer to that. But I would imagine the phone/computer you watched this video on was likely make in China.
