The upper timinchai. Gasket and also the sensor gasket replace both at same time is best ting to do because sensor gasket you gotta take the upper timing chain gasket off so may aswell do it

Love the content and details. I have a 2016 Audi A6 2.0T. I was driving down the street and car suddenly slowed down and I believe it went into limp mode, I checked the code and showed misfire on 2 of the sparkplug. I checked the spark plugs and as I took them out all 4 were covered in oil. I'm only guessing it's the valve cover gaskets that are damaged. But I was wondering if you have a video showing how to remove the covers and replacing the gaskets. Or if you think it might be something else that is causing the oil to get onto the spark plugs.

Love you videos, lots of great info. Currently I have a leak dripping from the oil filter and hitting the belt making the oil shoot to the headlight I have a 2015 q5 thinking it was the oil filter I replaced with oem but has not resolved the issue. Have you ever encountered this before?

I will tell you this you can fix all the oil problems you want but until someone finds a way to fix the faulty vacuum design you will have the same problems over and over!!

Wish you were my neighbor because my 1999 A6 is out of commission. Coolant leak, overheating, I feel like oil pan cracked. It’s definitely peeing a coolant oil mix. Buddy did I mention suspected starter and or alternator is on the list? Battery started going out the first time this overheated white smoke out occurred
curbside and optimistic that it will be fine even though I could boil noodles in my coolant reservoir.
I got somewhere safe. Top off. Five ten minutes later. White smoke warning lights ensued so I pulled over. Cool off time. Crank no start. Then flickering light and no start. Dead. I think it’s just a coma. Audi great recession cars Hahaha 😢
Love your work and channel it helps.
Helped. I’ve actually gotten some good knowledge about Audi repair from my experience with not having a garage or able to get to the spots that are sus I’m at a loss. Because I don’t trust most shops to work on these cars and an Audi dealer well let’s just say they’re great recession cars. $190 to be inspected. Okay I’ll tow on over. 💸🪤

when that upper cover starts really leaking good and the oil is getting blown back onto the cat/exhaust....it's time for pistons. get it done before you loose 100% of the compression in a cylinder, or two.

You don’t need the cam bridge unless it’s damaged just pop out the screen or what’s left of it. There are kits that fcp euro and ecs tuning sells

    Nice work!
My wife and I have a 2013 Audi A6 Quattro 2.0. We’ve taken it to several places including an Audi dealership and we haven’t been able to get a straight answer on why we have an oil leak. We had the dealership replace the pvc valve, spark plugs and something else. They still say it’s a rear main seal but we don’t believe them.We don’t see any oil on the ground but the rpm’s jump while idling and occasionally it starts but doesnt turn over until I press the gas pedal. We live in Ohio and have watched many of your videos. If by chance your interested in helping us fix this problem we would compensate you and more. Let us know if your interested in the job. Keep up the great work

Nephew has a 2012 Audi A4 2.0 but the valve cover is not leaking oil ? at least I did not notice but he has a low boost code and I fashioned a plug for air cleaner intake hose past the mass air sensor and used 20 pso of shop air via a valve stem I installed in the plug to locate / test for a leak in the system. First leak was at the pcv cover plate which was not fully snapped on. Once corected next detectable leak is at the valve cover gasket ? since its a boost leak gonna replace the valve cover as well unless ubber expensive ?

I just did that repair on nephews car. When going back together I kept all the different screws in their own pill bottle and when I put the screw that goes to the lower part of the dipstick in the bottle along with that screw was the bolt along with the dipstick cap and a small blue o-ring ? and it is not the o-ring that goes around the dipstick cap ?does the lower dipstick bolt go into an oil galley ? do I need to put that o-ring on the bolt or simply put sealant on the bolt and call it a day ? do not remember removing any o-rings during the break down and wondering if the o-ring was in the bottle from a previous repair years ago ? you know what now that I think of it all the bottles came from my fuel injection tester mock up stand. It is probably a old fuel injector o-ring ... mystery solved lesson learned if you take shit apart and use boxes or bottles to separate the parts make sure they are empty or you will have extra parts and not figure out where they go ...

I don’t get how you just pop off the oil filter like that and no oil leaks out. Every time I do an oil change, I try to take the filter off first (after letting it sit for 10 minutes) but oil still pisses out everywhere when I remove it.

I’ve tried it before and it didn’t work both just on the top and removing it. In some cases it might work, depends on how warped the case is, if taking it off you should at least order and replace the rubber gasket if not the full case.

I need your input please! So I’ve had a P0016 code with extended crank, starts every time with great idle. Started basic by replacing the sensor, it worked for a day but the code came back. When I clear the code the engine starts right up but after I turn it off once or twice the extended crank comes back along with P0016. Any ideas on what the real issue is? I know the timing chain is probably done which I do plan on replacing but the engine doesn’t seem out of time to me, could just be my ignorance tho. Thanks for your time!

Unless you want bent valves stop driving it until you replace the chain kit
