I heard to not bother with any new listings for Mother's Day/Father's Day/Nurse & Teacher Appreciation Week as it takes Etsy 60-90 days to add any new listings to the database, so if I add them now they;ll be overlooked & I should instead focus on summer/4th of July & onward. I'm jealous, every time I try to add multiple tags @ once to etsy in the Tags box, it wants me to break them out myself.
So in a nutshell, you heard wrong or you've misunderstood what you heard. When you add a listing, it's in the database right away.
While it absolutely CAN take up to 90 days for Etsy to know where/when to show your listing in search results, if you make something unique that people actually want, you can make sales within hours. If you plan to target occasions, I do always suggest being 60-90 days out so that you have more time to get eyes on your prize.
One thing i will say though is to figure out who you want to serve with your designs, pick a niche, then pick a product that makes sense for that niche, and then make good designs.
As for the multiple tags at once, you need to have them all separated by commas and under the character limit.

Great info 😅 I start my listings on Etsy and only sync/push to printify if they sell. Ive always wondered if to use Hello Custom do you have to publish the listings from Printify first (the way you did in this video)? Or could my usual process still apply when using Hello Custom? Or maybe a workaround would be to start on Etsy as normal, then copy/paste the Printify skus into the Etsy listing when it makes a sale, then continue with Hello Custom as if the listing was always synced? Hope this makes sense! Thanks! 😊
Yes! You can absolutely do it that way - i just did it the "backwards way" because that's what most people do.. I am planninc to add several customizable items to my shop so i will work out the kinks of doing it with existing listings and make some content on it, but i'm sure it'll work out in the end :)

You'd need to make it better and different enough that people want it. Maybe you can use a trending aesthetic on an existing design even.
I'm nervous re: District Photo based on past complaints I've heard about re: delays and blurry prints. Should I not worry about this anymore?
I generally trust a rating of 8 or better. Order samples if you want :)
