I'd also like to give a shootout and recommendation for Inner Circle. I've followed Jay for a long time and really appreciate his methodology. He values quality over quantity and you can see how he makes that work. With only 1,500 designs on Amazon, he is making USD $2k a week. Every other influencer or voice in the industry talk about filling slots. Jay's got slots for days and still gets paid. (Side note: that's a great line and I just thought of if.) One thing that I would like to add to this recommendation. I am not like many people, but I am willing to bet there are some out there just like me. Merch for me is a way accomplish a dream I have had since High School. Printing t-shirts was a goal that I have always had, but couldn't realize because of the investment needed for screen printing. I am 42 years old, drive 40-60 minutes to work both ways, and work 45+ hours per week in the office. When I come home, I try to eat dinner with my wife so we can have some time together. Doesn't always happen though. 😢 After dinner, I have about 2-3 hours of college work to do. If I am not exhausted, I try to put in one hour working on my business (merch). Weekends is where I try to focus more on getting merch business done. Unfortunately, I also have housework, yardwork, Bible work (I'm a chaplain and youth pastor), meal prep, and quality time with my wife that competes for my weekend availability. Knowing all this, I begged Jay to help me join his group when it opened. Even though it sold-out in an hour or so, he made it happen. I may not be able to join the live calls, be active in most of the chats, and it's been 2 weeks since I could review the information on the boards, I'm still choosing to pay monthly and stay in the group. The value of that I get from the community far exceeds the price of admission. I do not know Jay personally, but he has always taken the time to respond if I ask him a question. Sheila is amazing. After I asked how I could quickly review what was talked about in a session and needed to focused on, she created a pinned thread with action items and focus points. That may not be the best part though. The best part is probably the community. They often provide help before the admins get a chance to. There is value in numbers. I think it the group is still just the founding members, so its like 100 people. However, they make a huge impact. I can't imagine what it will look like when flood gates open. At work, I often say the quote, "Rising tides lift all ships." This group has truly lifted me and my business up. Like Jessica, I listened to the advice I was given an saw an impact within 2 weeks. If you're on the fence, test it for a month. You will definitely find the value in it.

PS... I am so thankful for this video. As a 90s kid, I really wanted to know how to do it. Two quick questions though: 1) Are you only uploading to a single color for all of the bootleg designs? 2) Are you leaving the mockups on Printify's generic mockups?

I just filled my Amazon Merch application out, and it does not offer drop downs to pick Novelty T shirt, or a place to mention that I have an Etsy Biz, that I understand TM rules, etc. Has the application process been revamped recently?

Hey Jay, hope you're well. I'm new to all this and thinking of doing this, but I was just wondering with regards to the designs...is it okay to use templates as they are on Kittl (with minor adjustments added) as your own designs to use? Is it also okay to use pictures for example: from Pinterest to use as designs too? Or would this be seen as not original?

I'm nervous re: District Photo based on past complaints I've heard about re: delays and blurry prints. Should I not worry about this anymore?

Question: The XL needs an image of more than 8000px by 8000px. I have a design from Creative Fabrica at 3000px and Printify shows a very low DPI for it. When i do POD, i try not to go below 900 DPI just to be sure the design is going to look high resolution and crisp. How the hell can i always find designs of 25000px by 25000px at least? Do you remember what DPI Printify showed you when you uploaded that photo of yours? And what resolution it was? It does look a bit blurry to be honest. Thank you.

Someone in the POD Rockstars FB group just shared about your method. I’m so excited to switch to this way!! I’ve been feeling bogged down when it comes to adding listings doing it twice (first in printify then Etsy). And it’s so much easier to duplicate I Etsy since that’s where all the info needs to be! Thank you for all your responses here, too. I read through them all to get further clarification.

Do you think there is a possibility that you aren't getting Etsy Search traffic because you live outside of the US? I wonder if this would look the same for a US person. CU Online says she does not run ads, and uses low competition/decent search volume with Erank, and I believe she does not use social media either, and has made a lot of money. Her shop location/shipping location is in the US. This is what makes things so confusing. Being in Canada, myself, I feel like you have to run ads to be found, but maybe not as necessary if your shop location and shipping location shows as a US location. Would love to read your thoughts on this. It is a question that keeps popping up for me.

If you don't run Ads as a new seller, how do you get organic traffic?
