You’re surely becoming my favourite TH-camr. Prior to this video, I found myself binge watching all your reviews after your Infinity War one, even for movies I have never watched or shown any interest in just because you had a really captivating personality. Now, you are for sure my favourite TH-camr. I like how honest you’re being with us and it just shows how mature and talented you are to be able to be this genuine

Man. I applaud you, not only for coming out with what was happening, but how you dealt with it. Some people don't come back from it. Now, I won't even attempt to tell you I know how you felt, because I don't. But I went through Depression back in 2013. Not just feeling down or stressed. Actual depression. I had help. I feel I can relate to your story through how I went about my depression. Every feeling you are explaining about hiding it etc, is just like how I dealt with my depression. I too, turned to TH-cam. Not just because I was depressed, but also because there was nobody around me that had the same interests as me. My wife encouraged me. Seeing your personal photos and comments on your social media makes me think we share a similar life. Wife and kids etc.
Anyway, I don't want to bog you down. But I will say this. You're one of the nicest guys on here. You've always got time for everyone. Even after your channel boomed. Keep up the good work man and stay safe!

There have been so many people commenting that you deserve a million subscribers before, but after this you need a million subscribers. I mean, I have never seen a youtuber be honest like this, and I know you feel like this will make us think less of you, but now I think more of you, I think a lot of youtubers should make videos like this. You really inspire me, and this video is takes courage to make. Sean, you are genuinely my favorite youtuber, and I mean it.

I know I’m late in this, but you have my respect and seeing that you did this humbly makes me enjoy your channel a lot more! I subcribed to your channel few months ago and I must say you are now my favorite! I’m a God fearing guy I was once a Youth leader but cause of my own mistakes I let that slip away. I too want to make a channel one day with my buddy and one of the things that I love about your channel it’s clean and I see now why because Christ with His love, mercy, and grace has restored you. God bless you and keep up the good work!

Your story reminds me of my dads. He was an alcoholic for about 5 years or so, he knew that their was a God but he ran from it. When he was 25 he went to a bible study with my mom and gave his life to the Lord, and he said that when he asked Jesus to come into his heart the only way he can describe what happened was that it was like something was pushing down on him and he said he could feel all of the garbage being pushed out of his body. Ever since that night he says that he never had a want or desire for a drink ever.

Much respect for sharing. I think everybody has think that they eventually go trough. My dad was an alcoholic also, but he was there as a dad best he could. He didnt cope with life very well because hos father was an alcoholic to but the agressive kind. Eventually my father took his own life and now im the one who is struggling. But i searched for help right away so i will be the one that will break the circle. Still struggling after 3+ years. It isnt easy but im open about it and dont care what people think of me. So much power to you for sharing and opening up.

My mother almost died because of alcohol back in December of 2012. She had a serious problem with drinking and she was on the deathbed.
I was also 11 at the time.
She luckily managed to pull through and survive, but that experience made her learn her lesson and she stopped drinking.
Because of that experience, I'll make sure that I wouldn't touch a bottle or glass of alcohol.

Just wanted to say i'm proud of you brother! Being vulnerable takes a lot and Im glad to see you not let the enemy keep you from sharing. I too have experienced alcoholism at its worst through my biological mother and father and adoptive father. I've never personally had an issue but i've had other issues, (chiefly lust and pornography addiction to the point of rehab) either way, i just wanted to say i really appreciate you sharing and sharing your faith! God is good brother! Stay strong!

i have so much respect for you, it is hard to come out in public to show your real self, i'm just 16 years old and my anger isn't great, i don't like saying this is but i feel like i got Anger problems but i'm getting help which i am not confident about it but i am just a teenager about to become a young adult and i am sacred what is coming for me in the future. I can also relate your story to my dad, my dad stop drinking so he can win my mum back and make my brother and my life better, he seek out help just like you and he has changed so much, he also stop smoking which is hard thing to do. You don't know how much respect i have for you and for people who goes through this problems but i also believe God has something good in store for everyone in the future.
Thanks for everything and i hope youtube become your full time job and i can see it in the future. Carry on what your doing is great and Congrats on being sober for 2 years and many more to come.

Yes, it is. I get it @SeanChandlerTalksAbout and yes it would be a lot healthier if we could all be transparent. Hell, I'll put it out there I struggle with pornography and I used to be a hardcore God loving/fearing man and ever since my addiction that I'm still going through by the way and O need to get out of it which is hard because I get myself out and all of a sudden one step back and I fall back in.

I'm a recent subscriber, and am just now coming across this.
Incredible amounts of respect for you. I have never really drank at all, and two years ago I started having stomach problems similar to acid reflux. Because of these issues, I cannot drink alcohol. It takes about 1/4 of a single beer for my stomach to start burning intensely. For a little while I was bummed about it, as I'm in college and my initial reaction was that it would rob me of certain social experiences. After a few weeks it finally dawned on me that I've basically been given a get out of jail free card when it comes to this. It's a problem that I physically cannot have, and I'm very thankful for that.
I've battled my own demons, having presented themselves in the form of severe depression, I understand a small portion of this struggle of not being yourself and not liking the person you become because of these issues.
Thank you for sharing your story. I'll be watching your videos regularly for a long time.
If you do, by chance, read this, I'd love to talk movies with you sometime.

Sean! I am an alcoholic as well...I've been sober for 3 and a half years, soon to be 4 in August. I went through a rough period as well and abused alcohol for 9 years. I decided to seek help through my job and went from 284lbs to 187lbs in 3 years. I continue to support other alcoholics and fully believe in sobriety. On this note "God Grant Me the Serenity to accept the things that I cannot change, and the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

Not specifically but I'll think about it. I've always been fond of Rapid Fire. And I want to do more to point people towards those movies kind of forgotten.

This is the first video I saw of yours. I watched it earlier today. Based on your channel this video is so unexpected but like you said, so necessary. Your journey has made you stronger. I love that you are able to be honest and share your faith in God and church. That was truly emulated in this video.
