There aren't many things more mesmerizing and satisfying than watching someone who is this comfortable in their element. It's one thing to be proficient in PhotoShop-anyone with a decent attention span and retention can do it-but to be this proficient and have such artistic talent along with it is a real treat to encounter. Add on top of that a gift for instruction and you have Aaron Nace of PHLearn. Thank you, Aaron & the PHLearn Crew. I'm a fan! Cayce
I just realized I never considered why fish swim right side up until you pointed out that side-on fish wouldn't look right, so I looked it up and learned that they have air bladders that make swimming right-side up the only comfortable and efficient way to swim for them. I phlearned something unexpected. Thanks.
I'm new to Photoshop and to PHLEARN. My professor uses your TH-cam videos for us in class as extra materials to pull from. You make them fun to watch and I've learned so much from watching. Thank you..
You know what i sai, i say that an entire channel deedicated to photoshop tutorials means that photoshop is a son-uf-abch which in turn means ill be learning this shit for awhile. Will be so worth it though.
I have Phlearned so much from watching these videos and from the pro tutorials. I can definitely say I am a Phan for life. I could definitely see myself just hanging out in the Phlearn studio and having a blast. Thanks for makeup learning fun and exciting again and renewing my faith in myself and my work.
I really seeing your the methodology and thought process behind turning "i want this to be (a different color, lighter, blended, etc.)" into the actual set of commands in photoshop. Adds a lot of intuition.
Amazing amazing amazing! I love how you summarize everything at the end and also constantly show the befores and the afters. Just a really strong tutorial.
Compositing and swapping faces is still one of my favourite things to do in PS lol. With the stuff you've showed us how to do here though I can REALLY take it to the next level, so thanks for the indepth tutorial man!
Awesome video, well done. As a new user of Photoshop it would be really helpful if somehow your videos were graded so that us newbies could know which ones to watch to get the most benefit. Things that were done in this video were WAY above me at this stage, and I think I would be better off with some short, easy to understand ones where every single step is gone through SLOWLY. Thanks again though.
Thank you for those great videos you post. They are really helpful. I see you are always using a drawing pad, which makes total sense. I have researched some, but not sure what kind of pad I should purchase. There are hundreds out there. I was wondering if you could give me some ideas as to what to look for in a tablet and/or suggest a few. Thanks.
Dude, your tutes are among my favortes ! I really appreciate it ! I am the quintessential nube ! Before the latest update to Webster's, my picture was the definition of 'nube'. Thanks for the tutes !
Great quick description of the process. It seems that the final image ended up with a v(ish) shaped light area around the model and the bottom of the image that might not have been there in the original. Certainly not annoying, but it did catch my eye.
I only recently discovered Phlearn, and its been a truly transformative and inspiring experience. Thank you, Aaron, for reigniting my love for art in general and photoshop in particular. Excelsior...
Personally, I think the fish are still too noticable/dark but that's personal preference. Either way, awesome tutorial with a lot of tips I could make use of.
this video has shown me how to use field blur in alot greater sense, where the fish looks like it is popping it's head out of the water which gives the realistic effect but personally speaking i do want to know how to create 'a shiny white boundary of water layer' around the fish's head when it pops it's head out of the water to make it look more real.
I freaking love you aaron nice... lol seriously tho, your so great to watch , your very charismatic and like able I wish my teachers would have been more like you in university I would have learned way more lol
One great tip is if the fish are to be deep under the water, there wouldn't be surface ripples around the fish heads and tails....though I did enjoy how the ripple effect was achieved.
Great. Question: when you were coloring the fish midway, how did you grab paint so quickly and paint? I would have thought you have to switch from paint to the eyedropper tool and then back to brushes each time. If you could slow down a bit, and explain this type of thing (shortcuts) while speaking a bit more slowly, it would help a lot. Thank you!
Using the "X" shortcut let's you flip between your two colors in the color display. If you press "D" while in the brush tool, those colors default to black and white.
You always do good job #AARON NACE Being a Beginner of PS, I am learning a lot from your tutorials.... Thanks for sharing your valuable knowledge.. KEEP IT UP PHLEARN
I HAVE BEEN USING PHOTOSHOP FOR YEARS AND NEVER USED FIELD BLUR! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
