Dutch when you leave those traps overnight. Leave a corner out of the water. Turtles 🐢 get trapped and cant get air. All the best love your channel and family.
We live on edge of town. My home is by 2 corn fields and we have coyotes, raccoons, opossums and fox. The fox have been killing the neighborhood cats. There is like one outdoor cat left. Scary. Hope you get those coyotes. Awesome craw dad catch girls. 👌
My kids use to love crawdad fishing!! We would tie a piece of bacon on a string and throw it out there and the crawdads would grab the bacon and we would sling them to shore! They would be pulling them out left and right! Fun times for sure!! Excited to see what shows up down there!! ❣❤❤❤❤❤❣
Hello Dutch, another interesting video. Love to be by the creek. The water is so clear. Lucky lucky to have such beautiful property. many interesting finds!! I think you need gloves to handle the dead animals. Cause you never know what they might have or why they died. I am glad this time that the girls were not with you, could have been tramatic for them.🤗🤗💞💞💙💙
Hi Dutch, I live in PA and I enjoy your channel. Sometimes I have to relocate raccoons from trying to get in my chicken coop. My Uncle used to take them to a friends farm some 20 miles away. But for bait I was taught a poor man's bait. Get a piece of bread put peanut butter and grape jelly on it. Lift trap, stick under it at the end and stake it down. I used tent stakes cause sometimes they will lift it. Got them every time. They love peanut butter and 🍇 jelly. Happy traping!
You get cought catching raccoons and relocating them in Pennsylvania fish and game will be the proud owners of whatever you used to do that with lol. It's illegal as hell to trap them without a license and moving them 20 miles thats funny, they will just return on back 🤣
We had a raccoon and possum problem at our chicken coop. We investigated and found out you have to relocate them at least 7 miles to insure they won't find their way back. The creek is wonderful!
A. 7 miles is a drop in the bucket for coons. Their natural home range is 100 to 250 acres with boar coons having the larger. Not sure where you got 7 miles but your just moving it to an area it already might have hunted the night before and it will return. B. in most states in the US it's illegal for the public to dump their problem wildlife off. I say most but in every state I know of it's illegal but might be one of the 50 somewhere. General members of the public don't do the research to know if its a safe area that can support the animal, not already overpopulated with a species, and/or you are relocating a diseased animal to an area where the disease isn't a problem. Plus you could just be dumping your problem animal off on somebody else. I'm a state licensed to rehab and relocate. My speciality is raccoons. If you can't get ahold of somebody trained to correctly relocate then the best thing to do is legally put the animal down. I hope you have the correct license and permits to trap animals in the first place.
Before you cook any of those, you should turn them over to make sure none are carrying eggs underneath. They should drop those eggs to make more babies. They would also be good in a type of tank to lay their eggs so you can grow them in a controlled environment.🦂
I don't know about where Dutch is, but in West KY, most crayfish (crawdads) are done with eggs by late spring. You very, rarely find crawfish with eggs by the end of summer.
Hi Sean, the creek property is looking great. Water is so clear n beautiful. Lots of wildlife. Shame about the groundhog, glad you took it out of the water since ya really don't know what killed it. Have to be careful, that sickness could travel downstream n make others sick. If nothing touches it, please bury it deep away from the creek, so nothing gets sick from it. Wash your hands n disinfect them too. Can't wait to see new video. The creeks my favorite place. Thanks for sharing. God bless🥰🙏❤️
Creek chubb ,good for bait. That's a woodchuck. He's great coyote and fox bait. Cut up chunks and put in that live trap You can use the chunks for dirt hole sets.
Hi from traverse City Michigan love you guys so much you're a beautiful family and coming home from our days of work really watching your videos makes me relax you guys are the best family ever can't wait for your next vlog❤ much love from traverse City Michigan❤
I hope you washed your hands good, Dutch. I bet that ground hog or whatever it was died of RABIES. When animals get rabies, and humans too, they lose their minds trying to drink water because Rabies makes them hydrophobic. The virus attacks the brain and causes them to not be able to drink because the virus attacks the part of the brain that controls swallowing and throat muscle spasms. The poor thing was probably mad with Rabies foaming at the mouth and trying to drink but couldn't do it and died of dehydration and Rabies. I'd get that mess far away from the creek, burn it or bury it deep. Rabies travels around through all the creek animals. Hopefully whatever eats it doesn't spread the Rabies! Terrifying stuff!
Not all rabid animal foam at the mouth. This is a proven fact. But yes, some germs or purely on hands should have been used after handling. Gloves preferably.
A big problem with water in forest streams is Giardias, A microscopic Intestinal parasite. Animals poop the out in the stream. Good way to get bad diarrhea
It use to be 15 shots in the stomach years ago for rabies ! Now you only get 9 shots either in the arm or hip ! To test for rabies on the animal the use the brain ! I know because I was bit by a cat a few years ago sadly when I killed there wasn't much brain matter left to test ! So I ended up having to get the shots !
Dutch, great video. Good luck with the trap's. Hope that you will soon be able to get the tree out of the river & use the wood at the homestead . David B. ,Utah. ♥♥♥.
Glad Y'all got a few crawdads maybe there will be a lot more where the girls can check the traps. To get rid of the raccoons you have to take them far far away. Good luck catching the coyotes. GOD BLESS Y'ALL.
Sean, you need to have gloves with you at all times. Cannot believe you don’t. You could probably catch coyotes in traps if you would use gloves. These are animals that are drawn or stopped by scent.
Hey Shan, do you leaning on a little so huh?😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Wow, that’s a lot of crawdads and now the girls are gonna be happy to know that besides, that water is so clean and cold. They’re gonna be good eaten dang.❤❤❤
By the coloration of that fish it resembles some of the trout we have in Idaho. Mostly rainbow trout but we have other kinds of trout as well, The one you had looks like a stream trout or a german brown trout to me.
Hey Dutch I think it's about 3 miles raccoons will travel back to there regular spot. And I am like you on the coyotes they can be a pain but they help keep the balance of nature. Normally they will only take down the sick or wounded unless they haven't had anything to eat in a week or so. Should of put that groundhog up in coyote trap. GB y'all stay safe & good luck on your deer hunting season. I got 3 more weeks here in Indiana then bow starts until November 15th
Daniel had an armadillo on his property down by his creek. Oh a groundhog! Can’t wait to see what you get on your camera. Prayers and blessings from the OKC Grandmother
Dutch I want to come fish in that creek but I also and terrified of what may show up during a visit. You have the craziest things arise and I’d need protection
Just for reference if you leave the smaller crawlers in the trap they will draw in more of them and same with the little brown bass, they lure the big ones in the trap.
Well, crawdads aren’t animals. They are crustaceans like lobsters oysters crabs shrimp etc. I wouldn’t give up my blue crabs. The stinkier the bait is the better they like it. Great job girls. God’s blessings
I hope you catch what ever predictors you have on your place on the camera and yes I would say it had a bad day maybe it choked on a chicken bone LOL Love you guys God bless and stay safe.
You should put the can like you put in the one trap and then the other take the same type of can and just poke a bunch of holes in the top and see if it gets just as much crawdads as the fully opened can. Good experiment
You catch the crayfish, build a live trap down into 6" of soil out of rot proof wood and metal screen material, keep it in the creek keep everything you catch in the pin, go down and feed them once a day or 2 let them grow alive in the pin wile you keep adding more you caught. You'll harvest them when they get big enough but not until. They will also mate and make more if you give them plenty of food. You can catch them with a fish take net or put in a trap with bait toss the small ones back
Dutch, you are blessed! Your land is heavenly. So glad you and your family love and care for the land. ❤
Hi Dutch, I can’t believe how clean and clear the water in the creek is. It is a very beautiful area. 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
That creek property is priceless!
Dutch when you leave those traps overnight. Leave a corner out of the water. Turtles 🐢 get trapped and cant get air. All the best love your channel and family.
Best comment I've seen for this video.
Dont tell a grown man what to do on his own land,
Ya soft Pansy.
Good advice
Love the creek part of your property, the water is so clear! Also looking forward to the pics from your stake camera!
That water is so clear! What a beautiful creak! God has blessed you for sure!
The creek water looks so chrystal clear. It is almost like easy pickings. The creek property is so beautiful and tranquil. Blessings to you all.❤
Just bait the crawdad traps with a couple strips of bacon, works great and cheaper. Thanks for the vid.
The water in the creek is so clear and beautiful
Yea so leave a dead animal near the water😂
Good evening from Syracuse NY everyone thank you for sharing your adventures and your farm
Hey neighbor good morning from Endicott, Ny
Oh No... You've found Punxsutawney Phil !! Now we'll never know when spring is near !
😂😂😂
You can keep a tube of toothpaste in the ranger to wash your hands and it won't get all slimy and messy. It's what I use in my tackle box.
I think I could fall asleep to the sound of you walking thru the water. ♥️
I do sometimes
Now I want that as my sleep music.
Always something to do when you own property. Love the creek so clear . Thx Dutch 😊
Hi Sean thanks for bringing us along as you check out your other property. Take care God Bless. 🙏💕🦝
I love crawdads also. They taste so good boiled on a grill. That smoked favor. Oh my. 😊
I so wish I could walk in your beautiful creek. ❤❤❤
The water in that creek is freezing year round. I wish we had that creek!
That was the biggest groundhog I have ever seen., The eating must be really good around there. That creek is just beautiful.
That was a Creek Chub minnow Dutch. We had a old coal mine pond we caught them out of, some would grow 6 inches long.
Always interesting at the Creek… wildlife all around. Love the mystery of what the cameras show..
Good man...dog and pig are safe and I'm sure the turtle is content❤
The creek water is very clear....Hope you catch something in the trap....Stay safe you all

We waded in and hand caught them

Beautiful creek, your very lucky. I would love to have that place.
Pretty creek, but, no Trout!

Their fun is catching them in the creek... ☺
He did that as he was selecting the eaters. Most people just don't realize how quick it can be done.
I don't know about where Dutch is, but in West KY, most crayfish (crawdads) are done with eggs by late spring. You very, rarely find crawfish with eggs by the end of summer.
@@maranathamarkOklahoma
This guy kills everything, he dont care about no baby crawdads.
Would be a good idea to keep a sealed container of rubber gloves in the side x side and the skid steer. Never know when you'll need to move a carcass.
Hi Sean, the creek property is looking great. Water is so clear n beautiful. Lots of wildlife. Shame about the groundhog, glad you took it out of the water since ya really don't know what killed it. Its good that you took it out of the creek because it will contaminate the creek downstream and if someone drinks the water they can get real sick.
it was fun watching you play in nature. That water is really beautiful
That last one was like I'm not going on there lol 😅
Hello Sean, good to see you👋 Good luck with your traps. 😊🤗💙
Your right the girls would have been sad to find the critter, glad they weren't there. They have such soft hearts❤ sweet girls 😊🤠
Thanks for sharing your videos. 🫶👍

can't believe how clear your creek is wow ! 😊 Setting up camera is great idea ! ❤
It's not his creek, IF I was walking in the water, and stay in the water, he can not get me for trespassing
Hey Dutch,as a fisherman,the only bass they call a “brown bass”,would be a smallmouth,because of its brown/bronze color
I hope you washed your hands good, Dutch. I bet that ground hog or whatever it was died of RABIES. Love your videos and enjoy watching them every time they come on. May the lord bless and protect you and your family.
The minnow bucket is made to float on it’s back like it is. It was originally made for wade fishermen so you could easily reach in and grab live bait
I love when I learn something new! Very interesting info.
You could also tether them to the back of your rowboat.
Dutch, great video. Good luck with the trap's. Hope that you will soon be able to get the tree out of the river & use the wood at the homestead . David B. ,Utah. ♥♥♥.
Raccoons can range about 20 miles depending on the area.
Really enjoy these exploration type videos. Good job, Dutch!
You could use your tractor to dig out a pond next to the creek and make it deep enough for some big fish to hide.
Glad Y'all got a few crawdads maybe there will be a lot more where the girls can check the traps. To get rid of the raccoons you have to take them far far away. Good luck catching the coyotes. GOD BLESS Y'ALL.
I love this creek-on property- Oh! BTW, that little fish is called "Crawfish Bait" ;- )
I can’t believe how clear the water is. It would be cool to take a sample of it and get it checked.
😢awwe poor little animal I wander wat happen to it. Sad 😔 but besides that I love the creek Hi Brandi ❤
1:01 Good Luck catching Cody!!
Those fish looked like golden shiners.
No way...
Shawn, next time you wife goes to a dollar store ask her to get you some wipes to keep on your buggy for your hands .

That's a huge wood chuck. Great video
Beautiful looking water in you creek
Sean, you need to have gloves with you at all times. Cannot believe you don’t. You could probably catch coyotes in traps if you would use gloves. These are animals that are drawn or stopped by scent.
That is a creek chub . And Treat or Spam is good crawdad bait .
Good luck catching whatever ❤
The girls are so sweet if they saw that groundhog their hearts would be sadden . They're so precious. I love seeing the property it is just so pretty.
Hey Shan, do you leaning on a little so huh?😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Wow, that’s a lot of crawdads and now the girls are gonna be happy to know that besides, that water is so clean and cold. They’re gonna be good eaten dang.❤❤❤

Use the ground hog as bait in your coyote trap. It should start to decompose and smell really good. Happy trapping
Dutch I want to come fish in that creek but I also and terrified of what may show up during a visit. You have the craziest things arise and I’d need protection
Come on, longhorn knows how to get here, we got lots of guns up here in Oklahoma lol
Just for reference if you leave the smaller crawlers in the trap they will draw in more of them and same with the little brown bass, they lure the big ones in the trap.
14:47 good bait for the Cody trap
I thought we were instructed to not eat animals that eat poop
Well, crawdads aren’t animals. They are crustaceans like lobsters oysters crabs shrimp etc. I wouldn’t give up my blue crabs. The stinkier the bait is the better they like it. Great job girls. God’s blessings
Chickens, pigs, turkeys, fish and most farm animals eat poo even their own
First off if you are instructed what to eat. You are missing out. 😋 I think you need to broaden your taste buds😊
God told Paul not to call unclean that which he had cleansed.
Hello, Dutch, and family! 👋🏻👋🏻 You’ve got land lobsters! They are huge!
What a beautiful place. I would not be surprised if there was gold in that creek .
Good job. 🕊
Good luck✌️🇺🇸
Be safe - enjoyed the video.
Oh Dutch every time you ask, " can you see that, What was that", I think you know we can't & it's a disappointment not to see what your seeing 😢😢😢
Have you thought about canned cat food to bait crawfish trap? Oysters are more expensive. I use a net bag.
Hi dutch you should wipe your roof down with wash rag with vinegar and soapy water it will wipe the mold right off your roof of the side by side👍🥰
Sycamore trees can be tapped for syrup there's Birch Maple Walnut regular and black, Sycamore and Sweetgum
Sycamore makes really pretty lumber but it don't weather to good out doors it makes beautiful furniture.
Nice haul of crawdads. It took us a week to catch enough to eat! And a lost sole! People are looking for those, I hear. 😂
Goooood Morning 🌄 ☕️🌄☕️Dutch and family...That was a big beaver 🦫 ❤Have a blessed 🙌 weekend you and your family ❤❤
I hope you catch what ever predictors you have on your place on the camera and yes I would say it had a bad day maybe it choked on a chicken bone LOL Love you guys God bless and stay safe.
Thanks for the video watching from Reno NV
Canned cat food works for crawfish catching
Man, that water is clear. 👍👍👍
I do remember Hope saying that she smelled something dead in the last video you were setting the crawfish traps
You should put the can like you put in the one trap and then the other take the same type of can and just poke a bunch of holes in the top and see if it gets just as much crawdads as the fully opened can. Good experiment
Beautiful clear water
