As always the time, effort and research you put in to each video is appreciated. Keep up the good work! I now have info to take to my dermatologist for my next skin cancer exam. Melanoma InSitu surgery 2 yrs ago and I had wondered if it was connected to TBD. Thank you Jake & Dr Ericson!

Do you need to have the tracks or stretch marks?

Hey Jake did I miss the section where you two discuss the duration of these tracks? Can they come and go quickly within an hour or so or do they generally last longer and for how long usually? Days? Weeks? Months?

Hi Rob! The Bartonella associated stretch marks are very controversial. You will see in case reports that say that the marks “go away“ but these case reports aren’t very specific on what that means. Some people define go away as become less red and Fade into a skin color or a silver color along with indentation marks because the collagen is damaged underneath and that is what accounts for the indentations. This is what stretch marks do over time regardless of whether they were caused or exacerbated by Bartonella. There are anecdotal reports of people having very superficial marks that look like stretch marks and these can go away completely. And when I say completely it means that there is no indentation or visible traces whatsoever. This can also happen with really superficial stretch marks. The more superficial ones, once again anecdotally, can appear and disappear rather quickly. The deeper and more severe ones appear and then technically last forever because they have permanently damaged the tissue like scar tissue

I've been to dermatologists and talked to two different infect. disease centers here in North Texas and I can't find anyone that can help me with bartonella, should I just keep searching for a lyme specialist? I'm at my wits end would love a suggestion from a bartonella buddy

Hi James! The best way to get support is through our Facebook group called Breaking Down Bartonella. One of our admin keeps a list of practitioners and other people may be able to suggest a doc in your area. Infectious disease doctors won’t be able to help you. So just add yourself to the group and make sure to answer all the questions and then you will be admitted!
