I just got my Rz450e today and couldn’t figure out if the Lexus navigation has a built in trip planner for ev charging similar to Tesla. For example, will it route you to a charging station if there is not enough charge to get to your destination?

I've got an RZ and I did not see any automatic charger routing in Tesla app but I use Android Auto with Google Maps most of the time anyways. I just manually manage charging.

What app do you use to search or see available charging stations?

Great reviews. I am a new sub.
I see this car @ 8000miles for 36k. Is that a good buy? Would you recommend this for rideshare Uber/Lyft or is volvo xc40 better?

36k??! That’s an insane discount over the normal price of the car. That being said, every single competitor offers faster charging speeds = quicker refills for a ride share/uber/lyft vehicle.
Thought If this is the cheapest it’s very comfortable and quiet inside.

@@Allcarnews wow! That was the fastest response I have ever gotten Thanks. Yea I was looking at the mile range. I drove a bolt eu before and it was ok about 230 real driving. Charge time 45 minutes at fast charge.

@@timecost This might honeslty be faster than a bolt, Niro EV and a bit faster than the BZ4x/solterra. But there are many many other offerings as well!

Where can I buy the magic dock adapter? everyone says it won't work? New to this looking to buy an RZ Monday just getting information. Thanks!

    • @Allcarnews

This was not an adapter. Some (soon mostly all) Tesla superchargers have it built into the charger itself. You have to download the Tesla app and search for non-Tesla EV charging capability in your area

I bought an RZ450e this week and I ordered the Lectron Vortex Plug adapter but I need help. First, I downloaded the Tesla app but Lexus and the RZ are not available options when adding car details. So, please, please tell me how you did it. How were able to charge the RZ at the Tesla charging stations for your video?

You have to be at a Tesla magic connector . Not all supercharged are magic connectors.
You have to set it up as “charge my non Tesla”
There is no vehicle to put in really when I set it up, you just set up the Tesla account, add a valid credit card, and it should work.
When you go to a magic connector Tesla charger you can charge.
It will NOT work with an external 3rd party adapter.
If your manufacturer announced NACS capability they will contact you at a later date about an official available adapter from them directly.

@@Allcarnews 😪 I bought this RZ because I was sold the idea that I could buy the adaptor and charge my RZ in the Tesla network. Thank you!
