I definitely think the Type X Wing would bring the Hatch together real nice, can't wait to see her all painted. Glad to see the E36 getting a move on too!❤
Future reference for fixing the oil feed crank the engine with the line off to push out any last metal shavings that may remain before hooking up the feed line
If you ever get something with more pressure in it etc look up Baercoils. Much stronger than helicoils etc. Keep up the awesome work Jimmy. Best channel on TH-cam 👌🏻🙌🏻
One thing i would love to see you build and put your style on is a hardbody nissan d21. SR20, bay shaved, wire tucked, 3 piece wheels, drift fitment, super clean and fun to drive. ive been watching you since the ls1 z and haven't gotten tired of your content yet and you are the perfect person to build the jimmy oakes drift truck.
S13 is in that good spot. It's only cosmetic stuff from here, and maybe some other bolt on parts. I wouldn't worry about painting it until after this drift season, it looks sick even with the mismatched colors.
The other thing you can do to ensure no metal shavings are in the oil feed exit is to crank the engine over on the starter (disable actual starting) until oil is pushed out under pressure from the fitting, preferably after drilling & tapping but before the helicoil is inserted, that way there is nothing for metal filings to get hung up on. This is in addition to the grease on the drill bit & tap.
Hot tip for anyone who has to helicoil their oil feed, pack the hole with grease before you drill and tap, when you're done briefly start the car with the feed line off and allow the oil pressure to poop out the grease and metal filings
Would using a mini vacuum hose or one of those mini battery powered vacuums used to clean a computer keyboard on the hole you drilled in the engine block be an extra step to make sure there are no metal shavings in the engine?? Just a quick thought I had! Great content as always Thanks!
Bruh, this is making me want to uncover the 180sx and take it out. Finally going to have a decent weekend here. They might not be the fastest thing in our arsenals but they are so fun to drive hard
if you are putting a wing on it, it should be something low i would go with a dragwing or just a simple ducktail, but dont let it poke out from the bumper
Pleeeeasse put a type x or even 326 power wing on the cherry hatch,I also personally think a slim roof spoiler would make it pop. s13 hatch is my fave s-chassis but they hardcore look like doorstop wedges without a wing lol
If you’re not painting the whole car, I’d have your friend paint the bumpers, side skirts and the ltw wing so that the car doesn’t look so bunk when it’s running.... the factory paint isn’t THAT bad, so with matching bumpers and stuff it would look way nicer imo
i realy like the wingless but also i think that if you were to get a wang, maybe consider the 326 power wing? I think adam lz has one on his cream 240 and i think it looks a little nicer than the type x cause it spans over the rear quarters a little more.
Good Job Jimmy, does that pan come with a baffle to keep the oil in the ban to prevent oil starvation under heavy cornering an a oil pipe extension to put the pickup at the bottom of the pan? The Car looks Awesome. Now you can give it to Bhall to paint and It is going to Be Fantastic! But first How about Some High Performance Mods? Keep up the Great Work. Say High to the crew.
Tension from the 'spring' designed into the coil. I've used helicoil repairs a couple of times, hugely reliable and in most cases, a stronger thread than the original (in softer metals)
Friction between the coil and the tapped hole is greater than friction between the bolt and coil due to aforementioned tension in the coil from installation as well as the greater amount of surface area on the outside of the coil compared to the inside.
Jimmy "double clip" LZ
I definitely think the Type X Wing would bring the Hatch together real nice, can't wait to see her all painted. Glad to see the E36 getting a move on too!❤
326 power wing would be better!
I’m all for type X
thxtscvmbxg definitely a Type x wing required
Cant wait to see em sitting together 😍😍😍
326 for sure
DAmn i needed this... content on youtube dry as heck today. Always Glad to see a Jimmy O video
Facts
Big facts.
Big stoopid facts
Your hatch gonna be looking fire in full type X with a new paintjob (please keep the factory red)
No spoiler! Like you said, its just so classy without it. Love it!
What do you mean...
“What now?”
Let’s get that civic done and at the burnyard!
I love how we all headed straight to the comment section after seeing that double clip LZ move, LOL!
it has started to happend so much more.
Well you’re not wrong
Future reference for fixing the oil feed crank the engine with the line off to push out any last metal shavings that may remain before hooking up the feed line
OGs remember when you had to do this to Drew’s old coupe
Denver Nieman that motor from Drew’s coupe is still in my car with the same helicoil lol
It's all about that purple
Truly living the Haggard Garage dream, jimmy
love the grease trick!
I think a wing is a must
On my first SR I drilled and threaded it to NPT and put in an adapter to 3AN and got rid of the banjo bolt all together.
If you ever get something with more pressure in it etc look up Baercoils. Much stronger than helicoils etc. Keep up the awesome work Jimmy. Best channel on TH-cam 👌🏻🙌🏻
Man you can really see the passion in Jimmy’s videos.
Love it, but was that another 2 clip Jimmy LZ?
One thing i would love to see you build and put your style on is a hardbody nissan d21. SR20, bay shaved, wire tucked, 3 piece wheels, drift fitment, super clean and fun to drive. ive been watching you since the ls1 z and haven't gotten tired of your content yet and you are the perfect person to build the jimmy oakes drift truck.
Leave it like that! It looks so clean without a wing
Wingless with a roof spoiler 😉
You could also try putting a strong magnet on your drill bit to hold the shavings aswell as grease
Jimmy is probably the most humble an realest TH-camr's out! Keep up the great content Jimmy O!
Yes! And Taylor Ray
I’ve followed Bobby on insta for a while, and man he does some sick stuff!
Wingless is super sleek
Wingless looks so good. Stoked to see it move a bit! Excited to see the e36 all done up!
you can get led 5x7 sealed beams or you can get hella housings that you can put hid/led bulbs in for the lights
S13 is in that good spot. It's only cosmetic stuff from here, and maybe some other bolt on parts. I wouldn't worry about painting it until after this drift season, it looks sick even with the mismatched colors.
The song over the helicoil install ups the overall production looks good!
I did the same Technic with the same helicoil set to re-thread the front sparkplug hole on my e46....... it worked flawlessly
Type X wing is a must mam
I always love watching your videos, it always makes me want to go wrench on my own project
Go french? What exactly does that entail? I shoved a croissant into ze intake!
@@anthonyb8869 fixed and autocorrect sucks sometimes! Lol
Grease on the drillbit. Never thought of that. Thanks Professor Jimmy.
I would have stressed about that stripped hole so much, You made the repair look effortless
Hot tip for anyone who has to helicoil their oil feed, pack the hole with grease before you drill and tap, when you're done briefly start the car with the feed line off and allow the oil pressure to poop out the grease and metal filings
I feel like a Uras Drag wing would lengthen the rear and make the car flow good
I agree Nitro. i just left about the same comment.
Honestly I think it looks so slick and clean without the wing
Definitely need a spoiler. I think the one that u held up to it in the video where u put the front bumper and side skirts on
It needs the blitz 03s 😂😂
I seriously always get so pumped whenever you post a new video!
Keep it clean, no wing!
Forget the type X wing. that thing is so clean as it is!
is that the "clean" 240 that cam from haggard garage used to own?
Yep
Its gettin even cleaner now that Jimmy got it
hope that repair works out! i had to time sert my timing belt tensior pulley but now its stronger
Type x for sure
If you do put a wing on it I’d recommend something slim like a super small duck bill
TINK!!! Bobby’s dog is badass... almost as badass as his Cobra
I think it looks cool wingless. Excellent video. 😎👍🔰
Definitely looks better without a wing!
Love to see the s13 and e36 in the videos Jimmy! Much love from Latvia!! :))
Would using a mini vacuum hose or one of those mini battery powered vacuums used to clean a computer keyboard on the hole you drilled in the engine block be an extra step to make sure there are no metal shavings in the engine?? Just a quick thought I had! Great content as always Thanks!
Wingless. Just think it looks so much more presentable.
Cant wait to see the hatch all one colour 🤩
Bruh, this is making me want to uncover the 180sx and take it out. Finally going to have a decent weekend here. They might not be the fastest thing in our arsenals but they are so fun to drive hard
KEEP IT WINGLESS!!!
You have a semi aggressive kit. Get the type x wing , you wont regret it.
if you are putting a wing on it, it should be something low i would go with a dragwing or just a simple ducktail, but dont let it poke out from the bumper
I like the key locking inserts better than a helicoil, easier to use too
Pleeeeasse put a type x or even 326 power wing on the cherry hatch,I also personally think a slim roof spoiler would make it pop.
s13 hatch is my fave s-chassis but they hardcore look like doorstop wedges without a wing lol
Speedometer on the 240 is mint
If you’re not painting the whole car, I’d have your friend paint the bumpers, side skirts and the ltw wing so that the car doesn’t look so bunk when it’s running.... the factory paint isn’t THAT bad, so with matching bumpers and stuff it would look way nicer imo
I think a 300zx twin turbo type spoiler would work really well with the kit on there
Nah get a small ducktail from garage mac. You wont regret it it gives a classic look while giving you a little flick up.
i realy like the wingless but also i think that if you were to get a wang, maybe consider the 326 power wing? I think adam lz has one on his cream 240 and i think it looks a little nicer than the type x cause it spans over the rear quarters a little more.
Always love the content Jimmy!
Wingless shows the body lines so well
Damn almost ate shit on that pole
Liked and commented. Now I’ll watch.
Can’t wait till it’s painted
I have done this a couple of times on chainsaw.engines ...blew the spark plugs clean out ...note to self ...don't run them to lean ! 😁
Yo Bobby does sick work I know him from mustang week he is damn good
Good Job Jimmy, does that pan come with a baffle to keep the oil in the ban to prevent oil starvation under heavy cornering an a oil pipe extension to put the pickup at the bottom of the pan? The Car looks Awesome. Now you can give it to Bhall to paint and It is going to Be Fantastic! But first How about Some High Performance Mods? Keep up the Great Work. Say High to the crew.
MK2 and MK3 need to return!
Fire Ant 🙏
You have to get a type x wing!
The s13 needs a wing 100% nothing crazy tho the type x wing would be a nice peice
I'll put 2o on Jimmy snaped that tap off in the block
Time sheets are stronger and better u should check them out
Love the music man!! Keep up the dope vids!!
Wing on hatch looks good from back but when you look in to car from side than it looks way cleaner without a wing, that just my opinion
Yes it needs a type x wing
Great video Jimmy, the red s13 is looking great! Where is Steffy - weve not seen her recently? 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Oh, and definitely a type-x rear spoiler!💪🇬🇧
NO WING!!! IT LOOKS SOOOOO GOOD RIGHT NOW :D
It needs the type x wang. Super sick with out it but it'll be even better with it on
See what happens when you actually drive your cars, it’s fun as hell and it’s great content
Type X wing yessir
I’ve had a helicoil in my hub for 15k miles no issues lol things are the best
For the wing a type X, A 326 wing or a ducktail
Jimmy yo u testfitted a d-max wing once and it looked perfect go with that ine and the roof wing
type x wing is a must on it my guy
Wing type x all the way
Weren't you sopposed to put thread sealant on that helicoil?
"Only 275 horsepower" 😂
no spoiler jimmy it looks clean
Type x wing is a must
look on ebay for 5x7 led headlights for the 240
Only spoiler your allowed is a type x wing
Get the wing! :D
Get a wing get a wing
If you like it you should put a wing on it.
What stops the coil from backing out or going into the block when you tighten the banjo bolt?
shecter2003 threadlocker
Tension from the 'spring' designed into the coil. I've used helicoil repairs a couple of times, hugely reliable and in most cases, a stronger thread than the original (in softer metals)
Great question!
Friction between the coil and the tapped hole is greater than friction between the bolt and coil due to aforementioned tension in the coil from installation as well as the greater amount of surface area on the outside of the coil compared to the inside.
Red locktight
👍😁pretty soon it'll be eeny meeny miney moe on which one to drive 😁
