I have a few things to say. 1st thing i made a mistake and applied it using the tire shine applicator, all you need to do is spray it directly on the paint job wipe with a micro fiber after. 2nd thing is I’m not finished with the testing. I will be doing another video of me putting it through some tests such as, doing the muddy water test, the dawn dish soap test and a few other things. This wasn’t the full test. In this video I was testing to see how the application process went along with how good it looked after applying the coating which is a test by itself.
Moore Motorsports James Dguy bro. So I took my civic camping up in the mountains and my car got alllllll nasty and I had the f11 on the car and I literally just used a pressure washer and it all literally just came off. So I’m wondering if hydros version of the spray will hold up just as well? Either way we all hella appreciate all your hard work in all your videos man for the product reviews and everything else
I like this guy so much..... he doesn't just make nice videos but he puts his time to try and reply to what other people have to say.....whether it's bad or good.
2 things I really like about these products, 1. that the tires don't have that shinny look to them, & 2. the beading action, even on glass. I know what I'm getting!
Love the videos just took my wiper arms off and sanded them then resprayed them with Rust-Oleum flat black because of your videos. Keep doing what your doing and I will keep watching :)
Ive been using this for about a year now on several cars. Its really good!!!!!!!! However, as great as it looks on the windshield when it rains, it some how gets the wipers gunked up. After about a month, the wipers no longer wipe away stuff but smears everything.
I suggest using something else for the wipers, as any type of wax unless specific to cars windshield gets smeared and caught all over the blades. I too am on the search for better ways to keep wipers healthy for a good bit when coating my car's windshield
Never use a product like this or any other wax or spray wax for the windshield, use Rain-X on the windshield or Nothing at All . if using Rain-X don't use your wipers, going fast enough with rain X should sheet the water away.
Hey man not being a hater. Obviously you know because we talked on Facebook. But as a semi-professional detailer I think that a lot of cars and I've learned a lot of things from a lot of professional detailer. When you clean your dash ... Pro tip!! Spray your solution onto your rag are microfiber whatever you're using and then wipe the dash .. that chemical droplets that you can't see Will l Splash and spray onto your windshield and it makes it a bitch to clean off. And honestly I just found out from another professional detailer cannot use newspaper on your windows or any ammonia based cleaners like Windex on tinted windows because the ammonia will draw the color out of the tint. But when cleaning windows spray on your glass cleaner on a rag a clean microfiber rag wipe your solution off behind yourself on that same window with a separate clean rag and buff the window. Like always love the videos keep doing what you do. Keep being you and keep them coming
whats the cost on that kit? Looks really kool and its kool you testings these products I've other ones and they look really fake. One other thing on the windows after using this do they fog up
If going rustoleum the closest would be smoke gray but this M.F gray is from majic tractor paint and it looks grey when the sun isn't on the paint but when its in the sun its more of a tan. Its interesting to say the least.
Been looking into ceramic coatings more and more lately and Hydro Silex is definitely on my short list of options after seeing your positive results. Did you get any documentation as to how long the protection lasts?
J.T.'s World! 6-8 months when applied properly. I did not apply the ceramic coating properly it needs to be sprayed on them wiped off with a microfiber the thing I used was for the tires 🤦🏻♂️
@@JamesDguy Not bad then! I have heard they last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years, depending on who you hear it from. I wouldn't think it would last a whole lot longer than a normal wax. It is better at protection than wax though, so totally worth the extra cost!
Norm Hodgkinson the only Rattle can parts are the front bumper and fenders so far and it was donewith 2k spray gun clear coat over the top . The rest of the car is in it’s wet sanding stage awaiting one more coat of paint and the 2k clear coat over the top.
@@JamesDguy nice job on the fender & bumper. i saw your video about the haters, and the guy that was locked up for awhile. ignore the haters. it seems you love what you do, so don't quit. you are an inspiration to him, and i'm sure to many others that watch your videos. making mistakes is a learning curve, and a person that doesn't make mistakes is a person that does nothing. you have a promising future.
Ceasar Augustus Eagle alloys I didn’t do a update on here when I swapped them out. I did it on my Texas Honda TH-cam channel. th-cam.com/users/texashondachannel
Killer Well the paint wasn’t done today or yesterday it’s been a little while but I actually did research on it and the clear coat I used it says it can be wet sanded/buffed with chemicals within 10-18hours after it’s painted. I never had a issue doing it though but I never do what is recommend and that’s why I have so many haters on this channel lol 😂
I use f11 polish and sealant on all of my customers cars and they love it. You get the results of a ceramic coating from a spray on product and it’s a little more affordable and user friendly it’s just like hydros as far as application.
Hello 😎 I’ve been keeping up with your progress on this car and I really loved the sparkly effect it had when you first applied the pearl 2k! I’m curious to know, was that glittery appearance temporary due to having just sprayed the clear coat? The finish looks more like plain gloss here. Is there a way to maintain (or even amplify) the effect it had in the sun in your last video? You ready to run out to Hobo Freight but now I’m kinda disappointed lol. What happened to the sparkles? (Still an incredible job tho btw)
marlenacupcake The sparkles are still there you just seem they WAY more in the sun and since it’s shaded you don’t see it as much but when a cell phone might or car headlights or any light hits the paint you can see it 100% if you have me on Instagram I can send you a video of it at night taken tonight. instagram.com/lucky_irish_mechanic
Looking slick bro! I use this stuff when detailing cars and it works great!! Out of curiosity, did you name your car? I don't remember if you did in a previous video or not. Keep up the great work! 👍
Few things wrong here... That's not a ceramic coating, it doesn't come as a spray. That might be some sort of sio2, but I doubt it. 2nd, the applicator you used on the paint, is for tires.
Pedro Teixeira I’m sure they are used for tires but they are also used for application and it is a ceramic coating they would be sued for false advertisement if it wasn’t. “Its a Sio2 ceramic coating and last about 6-8 months” this is literally what they told me. I am actually going to be doing a test on if it comes off with standard dish soap. It seems to be a good product so far. After I do more driving I will know for sure.
Nice progress but tbh it's not a real ceramic coating unfortunately. This product and other similar ones only mimic real ceramic coatings. This is basically a spray shine wax with only 2 or 3 percent of the real stuff in it to give the hydrophobic properties. Still an awesome product indeed. The real stuff is not wax though. It dries as a thin sheet of glass, hence it's name. That's why it's soo hard to apply and can damage paint if applied too thick. It also offers scratch and swirl protection up to a point.
Pedro Teixeira Pedro you are correct about me using the wrong applicator that is indeed for tires 🤦🏻♂️. I have seen some people use them for applying coating but in this case it isn’t for the application of coating lol.

I support Hydro Silex ceramic coating for supporting Moore Motorsports.

That's a deep gloss for a DIY paint job.
Very impressed

You should have coated your rims. It's crazy how good that paint looks!
Kent Brian I did in a separate video and it’s a different product that video is coming out soon.
You are real a professional in my opinion man. 💯

It`s not recomanded to put any protection on fresh painted surface, because outgasing problem.
