India has been making pry bars a long time, the big huge bars that HF had were India made. Also Cold Steel has a good number of their fantasy style swords and knives made in India. Lots of metal workers over there.
Let's take a minute to thank Doc for putting them all side by side on one table, as the market starts to get crowded. Competition is good for customers but adds to the purchase indecision factor, so kudos to the Last Best Mini Pry Bar channel 👍
I’ve had ti refrain from watching your videos….my ability to not watch is stronger than my ability to immediately purchase whatever tool you’re reviewing! …I am an addict
Thx for this review. For my taste, I'm going to buy the USA made Tekton set. I really like that they're a bit longer for leverage, and also the handle style.
The Lyle mini Square shafts are the best prybars I've found for Boat fabrication. Tried the snap on, tried PT Tool and a few others, all broke at the tip or bend. We often use the Lyle's to pry plate edges together, Beat on them with 4lb sleges and even stick them between two 20' sheets of 1/4" Aluminum and use chainfalls to pry the joint open to get the right fit. Best Prybar I own, Now I have 6 of em so I never run out. Oh and they make great spatter scrapers too.
As soon as I finished your video on the Titan pry bar I ordered one and it's fantastic. Looking at your collection there the biggest issue is handle size most of them are way too small. I need something that fits in my hand so I can get a good purchase on. I would never put anything like that in my pocket, I learned a long time ago that accidents happen. Thanks Doc 😊
I have three different sizes of the Lyle mini pry bars, I use them every day for gently prying electrical connectors off of printed circuit boards on the appliances I’m servicing and they work perfectly well for that.
I do like Olsa tools and these look great. But lately I've been having a blast making my own pry bars from garage sale and auction finds. That said, yeah these are in my cart. God save the queen.
I got tons of Mini Prybars because of you Doc. What is my most used? The Mayhew 31092, 2 piece set. Specifically the angled one. But not so much as a Prybar, but for so many other things, I ended up with 4 sets. They are magic for removing plastic body panel clips from cars, removing dried peanut butter from mice trap cups, so much more. I have Tektons, Lisle, and others. Don’t get me started on how many mini pick sets I have (PB Swiss with SwissGrip are the bees knees).
I just received that Titan yesterday after watching your review. I like the size, but am going to have to go over the surface of the bar with either steel wool or some Emory cloth. The surface has a bit of roughness; not major, but vert tint imperfections.. I like that they included a cap / cover for the tip. I'll be using it today opening cans of paint for some exterior painting, if the rain holds!
The shafts on those look very similar to the Lang pocket pry bars I have (also available branded as Matco), though if they're made in India they're not the same, Lang tools are USA-made.
I have many of what's on that table and mayhew is the clear winner 🏆. Small enough cheap enough and though I do like the girthy one it just is too thick to be practical. My vote mayhew set
I prefer the Matco pocket prybar set, then the Lisle, then Snap-On. The Olsa prybar set looks very different, so I may purchase those to increase my prybar arsenal.

Thanks for the checking out the pocket pry bar!

Well, you could start your own TH-cam channel and that would justify getting one of everything.

The Tekton and Lisle bars are the best bang..for buck..

I do the same thing bro but I settled on the Mayhew set for those jobs. If you ever see one you'll know why.
I do like Olsa tools and these look great. But lately I've been having a blast making my own pry bars from garage sale and auction finds. That said, yeah these are in my cart. God save the queen.
That’s a cool set. If I didn’t already have a handful of these I’d go for it.

Matco has a 55 degree angle pocket pry-bar too. It's made by Lang, but a person can't get the 55 degree direct from Lang, only the 27 and 0 in a set.

Hello Doc.I am from India but was unaware of this tool

I'll probably pick them up

The Matco set is made by Lang Tools and you can get them in all the colors from Summit. Very well made but this set also looks solid.
You need to pick up a three piece Lang set to add to your collection.
Made in India? Brotha ehhh
They look a lot like the Tekton ones.
The Tekton ones are much larger.
I'm not buying anything made in India.
But you certainly buy Chinese...🤔
are you not a fan of sandcasting pot metal?
