  • Chest and neck tightness are very common following breast cancer surgery, head and neck surgery, axillary surgery, and radiation.
In this video, we will go over different stretching exercises to help you maximize the length of your muscles and reduce any tightness related discomfort you might be experiencing since your treatment. We will perform each stretch for 45 seconds and move right into the next one. Make sure you are able to relax and continue breathing during these exercises. You should feel mild to moderate stretching only; If you start to feel intense stretch at any point, remember to back off a little bit.
Prior to performing any exercise routine, make sure your drain is out, the skin in the area you are stretching is intact, and have a conversation with your doctor to find out what your limitations are.
