This guy… Is the Bob Ross of Fishing , I’m so grateful that I found his channel and six years ago. Thank you Mr. Richard Gene , you are one of the greatest👍🏾
I think most people don't realize what level of fishing this is. To take a tiny bait, slide it ever so gently, and then pick up on those tiny bumps - is awesome. Love this content!
Panfishing with a little ultra-light setup with ultra-light line is some of the most fun you can have fishing. You cannot horse bigguns or they'll break your line! You have to play those little fighters and it's a party. I used to love it.
Great job, Richard. You are truly blessed. I think that's why you are so good at sharing all the knowledge with us. Thank you, Richard for all you do and especially for the scriptures in the description. God bless y'all and stay safe out there on your travels to these fishing spots.
Richard, I found your channel about 6 years ago. I have bought many fishing product that you use. I love the way you use simple stuff, weather it comes from Walmart or other stores. I have caught more Brem and Crappie watching you. Here in Southern California, the lakes have been low, but these last two years the fishing has been GREAT. I catch more fish with your tips. God bless you, and Thank for the fishing tips.
I am addicted to your channel RGTFM!! I also ordered one of your t-shirts and a sweatshirt. The sweatshirt is so soft and the perfect weight. Great quality videos and apparel. Thank you for bringing love, laughter, joy and WOOOOOOOOOOOO to the world.
Fishing might me a opinionated sport but you always give great opinions. The fish said so ! 😂 Always like your stuff. Learn something every time. I was just thinking about catching some Redear the other day. They sure are great eating fish! God bless from Western Ky. Hope Momma Sue is doing well!
Wooh! With all the 💩 going on in the country right now. It's good to have a new Richard Gene episode to watch and get your mind off it. Wooooh I'm talking fishing makes us happy 🎉🎉 🎣
I've caught several 1.5lb shellcrackers lately using a one bead 1 ounce bank sinker slip rig (4lb test) on a light action rod. Nightcrawlers especially. But you're exactly 💯 right about letting your weight hit that bottom. Hold your rod just right, let them take a bit, and you'll feel that TUG....very fun fish to catch and delicious
Ole boy would I like to have a chance to bring my boat to the 35 bridge I’ve been over that bridge so many times and looking down and wish I could fish but when you’re working man, especially driving a truck it’s hard to have that time to I’ve delivered to Scottsboro right there so many times there’s probably a chance that Richard was fishing right there when I come over that bridge in that truck not on this particular video I’m watching but when he was fishing at the 35 bridge at Scottsboro
Hey RG. I have been watching your videos since the start of the Covid-19 ordeal. You helped me through and make me feel like I’m there with you fishing, even when I can’t be fishing myself. I have even started imitating you when I’m fishing! My kids think I’m losing my marbles 😂 thank you for what you do for us all. I have a question, where are you buying your nikko baits from? I am having some trouble finding a place to buy them. TIA!!!
I have a spring fed creek on my property . It has multiple small waterfalls as it goes down stream. But in the upper part near the spring, there are bluegill ? How on earth did they get there ? I can find no way for those fish to have migrated there. this has confused me for years unless the pop up out of the ground from the spring. There are no lakes or ponds anywhere close to me for them to come from so their eggs must move underground with the spring is all I can guess. For miles maybe.
35 years ago before red ear was common, I would catch huge ones in southern Missouri creeks and every one was stuffed full of snails. I also caught big Kentucky Bass in the same areas. I blew up worms so they would float 10 to 12 '' off the bottom because of the leaf litter . ( light line & wire hooks ) I miss those days !!!
Richard Gene do the Shellcracker spawn every full moon throughout the summer or just the Bluegill??? Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us all. God Bless !!!
HAHAHA, you cracked yourself up! Gene, I have a question if you don't mind. I know you use Cajun line as well as Vicious, is there one that you prefer over the other for Bluegill vs Crappie? Love the videos, thank you!
God Bless you Richard Gene! And mamma sue too 😊 thank you for being the "comfort blanket" for some of us amidst all this corruption in the world... for some reason no matter how deep and dark it gets, when i pass one of your videos, its all ok again for a while 😊 also i sent you an email last year and thats ok lol. I was upset for about 2 weeks and then i thought "if i was him then id be spending my time fishing too, and not reading emails 😂" especially with darkness and corruption on every inch of the internet these days lol and i know your busy and popular now so i just "let it go" 😂 pun intended 😂 But should you ever read it, due to the current economy, im a little delayed, but lets hope for better days ❤ and also i would come do a day of yardwork in exchange for a morning on the water with you sometime 😊 heck id do 3 days of yardwork for a day on the water visiting with ya and id leave my phone at home lol but anyway, God Bless you and your family
Only pan fish I like catching is bluegill for bait or big crappie 😊 I won't use crappie for bait. If I had the right set up a crappie would land me a huge catfish. Maybe someday I'll try using a crappie for bait. That's if I catch a crappie. I'd have to use a 8/0 octopus hook of course.
Hello, I am from SW Missouri, my uncle lives near Vincent Al. We both love to fish, when I asked about the lakes in Al. he said they are all poison and you cannot eat the fish. Is that so?
I wonder if that’s Short Creek? I’m kinda curious if the ole “Taint Much” dam is behind him. I thought about easing off down to the creek after it’s no longer moving so fast it would sweep me down the creek and over the falls on towards the lake like those crazy people in there kayaks do on purpose.
Richard, Where can I buy those tiny jig heads that you are using in this video? I have the Nikko Stoneflies but I can’t seem to find those tiny jig heads with that tiny sickle hook.
This guy… Is the Bob Ross of Fishing , I’m so grateful that I found his channel and six years ago. Thank you Mr. Richard Gene , you are one of the greatest👍🏾

Wow those are cool looking panfish! We don't have that variety up in Minnesota that I'm aware of.

Your welcome, from the Great State of Arkansas, Lonsdale, Arkansas
Are there clear spots where you are casting to that do not have vegetation?
Did you use the darker colored bait. Those little suckers are hard to find.
Stoneflies are native to Alabama. There are plenty of stoneflies in the Tennessee river and and most of the rivers in North Alabama.
Nikko seems good at making big baits native to them Tennessee rivers
Just got bought that rod tonight
I use those and watch the fish race to them!
Just follow your nose! Always good stuff!
That's it! lol Also I would like to thank you for supporting my channel for so many years rociorickles6943! it means a lot! God bless
Did you go to I cast this year?
