That was fun. The soloist was very good but don't forget about the accompanist! She had plenty of tough going too. Not an easy piece. :) Understatement of the century.
Outstanding! I'm assuming from the description that you are going to play it with a full orchestra. If that's the case, please make sure we get to see that as well!
@ Rachmaninov performed the 2nd piano score of 3rd concerto with VH performing the solo, at the Steinway Hall. I’ve seen at least 1 vid of VH at his NY home, noodling some phrases from the PC 2, though. I’m sure he could play the concerto 2. He just never programmed it. I believe RCA tried to get VH to record Gershwin Rhapsody in Blue, but VH turned that down, too
Very nice version. It's a pity you didn't make that pause, that breath, that silence, which is also music, in the Cadenza. By the way, you're so handsome, I would have fallen in love with you if you had made that silence.😘😘❤❤
transciptions for piano accompaniment for major piano concerto works enabled more people to listen to these wonderful works before the advent of sound recording. Not everyone had the time nor the money to go to symphony orchestra performances.
It's also to help soloists to prepare the work for performance with live accompaniment: professional musicians may only get one run-through with an actual orchestra prior to a performance in front of an audience.
Orribile.
1:50 Mov. 1
12:26 Cadenza
19:20 Mov. 2
29:01 Transition
29:23 Mov. 3
Thank you. Thoroughly enjoyed this concerto.👍👍👏👏🇦🇺🇦🇺

This is nice

Great performance of a romantic concerto *par excellence* and thanks for sharing!
This Is not a Romantic concerto ....definitely post- Romantic.
Rachmaninov is an early modern composer writing in a post- Romantic idiom....
At 5:52 is really passionate and full of intimacy
25:06 I love what you did there.
Imagine Horowitz, with Rachmaninov playing 2nd piano, in Steinway basement in New York, cruising through this monstrous Masterpiece.
Horow never play rach2

Thank you so much for your amazing performance and upload.
Das geilste Klavierstück aller Zeiten
Bravo 👏🤍
Bravo!’
It’s a much more intimate experience.
Most of the notes played by the solo piano with an orchestra, getting drowned out

this is genius
Yes indeed, Rachmaninov was.
Good performance but putting an adv inside movements... Opinionable choice
Niesamowite połączenie talentu i pasji! th-cam.com/video/Ikz7ZLJLDMw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ISWo-dl10DUJBpW1
mutig , besonders für die Begleiterin denn der dritte Satz ist gruselig schwer
