I have a feeling that Vanitas is a manifestation of the darkness that killed Strelitzia and is helping Maleficent. I bet he went into Ven before Ven got sent to the future.
I genuinely cant give enougb props to Jesse McCartney and Haley Joel Osment for making Roxas to Ventus and Sora to Vanitas such distinct characters. Jesse made Roxas so much more cold and dark and Ven so light and hopeful. Haley made Vanitas so sarcastically evil and twisted while making sora so light and pure they feel like two different people. They both did such great jobs and creating both their primary characters and their direct mirrors
The power that Terra-Xehanort is seriously frightening. It took the combined might of the Lingering Will, Sora from the Future, Aqua, Ven, and Sora in the present just to make him fall unconscious.
He's a combination of Xehanort's vast experience, determination, and intelligence and Terra's Raw Power and endurance. I don't think any one single keyblade wielder would be able to take him on in a 1v1, unless it was Riku gaming.

Seeing Sora as a party member for the first time in a kingdom hearts game feels different yet feels weird probably because most players are use to playing as him
Vanita admits it he's "darkness" he said he was hidden inside ventus for a long time. That he is not ventus! I also find it strange vanita has eyes in his keyblade similarly to the MoM. I wonder if maybe the mom gave his heart to darkness in order to time travel through it similarly to xehanort.
Vanitas's new lines are very hamfisted in this. In the Remind cutscene he says he is not Ventus, just a being of darkness that dwelled within him. But immediately after in the base game cutscene he explains to sora that he is a piece of Ventus. I get there was alot of hype surrounding Ven's role in Union X but the way they did it here contradicts itself, and honestly also kind of fells my interest in Vanitas as a character.
@@GeneralSouthParkFan I like to think that he only recently discovered this during the time between the main game and the DLC, he only said that he was a different creature the whole time, but as he was described as an 'empty creature' it's possible that he's only become sentient in the time he's spent outside of Ven's heart.

He's almost (i say almost) a Gary Sue, he's almost always the one who ends up defeating the main villain. I wish we could have fought Terranort with the LW, not Sora. Same thing here.

I know what you mean, but it was always set this way ever since the keyblade war plot began to take shape after kh2. Sora is the link that connects everyone, and so, he is the one that can and will save everyone.

Cuz here he's like no, but he could be just taking the piss, and I saw a video w translations of the new character files, and he's like I just wanna disappear into emptiness. So ig he just wants to disappear period, into emptiness and stop existing? And if he merged with Ventus he'd still exist. So he did get what he wanted in the end.

Ok recap time. Originally when Vanitas talks about merging with Ventus to become whole that means he wants to be whole with HIM in control, like at the end of BBS. Anything else would mean basically just going back to being dormant in Ventus. At some point he becomes fed up with it all, he tries a few more times to be complete but fails, and Xehanort just wants to use him for his own goals so Vanitas just chose to cause as much trouble as possible. Because he wants everyone else to suffer like him.

I kinda wish they make ventus and vanitas like ok ko ( sorry that my only reference i can think of lol) where both work together in the heart and make a perfect venitus and be stronger with light and dark moves like riku

I like to think Terranort was Summoned from the era when he fought Aqua a decade ago at Radiant Garden the moment when he stabbed himself with his Keyblade to seal Terra’s persona It would be at that moment when it was possible for Young Xehanort to summon him to the future And instead a Replica body he really is possessing Terra’s present body After KH II when Xemnas and Ansem were destroyed I believe both Terra and Master Xehanort were recompleted in separate bodies or the Xehanort that was apprenticed to Ansem would have been revived then I believe Terra would have been comatose like Ventus because he is missing his Soul which is part of Lingering Will With his body and heart vacant it would be easier for Terranort of the past to possess him

What doesn’t make sense is that when the split of ven and vanitas happened sora and ven were not yet connected so why does vanitas actually look the way he does hmmmmmm...
My only personal explanation could be that Vanitas didn't have a face or "a form" when split apart and still was or just still is connected to Ventus because he was hidden in him for so long and because Ventus got connected with Sora, Vanitas was also then I guess. From what I know when Vanitas was created he didn't have a body nor a face however when ventus connected with Sora it also affected vanitas giving him sora's face as well as a body
In this game you only play as her twice. Yes its bs you cant play as Ven but dont say your sick of playing as her when it wasng really all that long. Of course im not counting BBS 2. Mostly because there was no one else to play as but also because theres like... literally no reason for us to have that game, in my opinion anyway. Its basically a demo for KH3 anyway just maninly playing as Aqua and getting another mind screw in the story.

I like to think Terranort was Summoned from the era when he fought Aqua a decade ago at Radiant Garden the moment when he stabbed himself with his Keyblade to seal Terra’s persona
It would be at that moment when it was possible for Young Xehanort to summon him to the future
And instead a Replica body he really is possessing Terra’s present body
After KH II when Xemnas and Ansem were destroyed I believe both Terra and Master Xehanort were recompleted in separate bodies or the Xehanort that was apprenticed to Ansem would have been revived then
I believe Terra would have been comatose like Ventus because he is missing his Soul which is part of Lingering Will
With his body and heart vacant it would be easier for Terranort of the past to possess him
Terra-Xehanort is Terra's present day body with a fragment of present day Xehanort's heart in it.

@@greatestnitemare6626 The ReMind cutscene with Saix, Xigbar, and Xehanort in the Keyblade Graveyard mentions that both Xehanort and Terra were brought back after Ansem and Xemnas were defeated, but Terra's heart wasn't able to regain control of his body and Xehanort was able to nort it like the Organization members.

@@greatestnitemare6626This I like to think is very different past master Xehanort wanted to use terra body to live beyond the kb war in bbs, after that in kh2 he had a new goal in mind, to use the x-blade and use kingdom hearts to re-write the world in his image in this current present it didn't matter to him if he wanted to use terra again. He just needed 13 vessels to be what larxene quoted "His heart tank"

What doesn’t make sense is that when the split of ven and vanitas happened sora and ven were not yet connected so why does vanitas actually look the way he does hmmmmmm...
My only personal explanation could be that Vanitas didn't have a face or "a form" when split apart and still was or just still is connected to Ventus because he was hidden in him for so long and because Ventus got connected with Sora, Vanitas was also then I guess. But that's not the theory I'm believing in though xD
From what I know when Vanitas was created he didn't have a body nor a face however when ventus connected with Sora it also affected vanitas giving him sora's face as well as a body

In this game you only play as her twice. Yes its bs you cant play as Ven but dont say your sick of playing as her when it wasng really all that long. Of course im not counting BBS 2. Mostly because there was no one else to play as but also because theres like... literally no reason for us to have that game, in my opinion anyway. Its basically a demo for KH3 anyway just maninly playing as Aqua and getting another mind screw in the story.
