- See the next generation Ariane 6 launch in this animation. The rocket is is over 196 feet tall (60 meters). Launch is scheduled for July 9: www.space.com/europe-ariane-6...

First Falcon 9 Landing was in 2015. Almost 10 years later ESA has ... this.
All very impressive, but none of it recoverable. Like him or hate him, at least Elon is not carpeting the ocean floor with use-once-only rockets.
Facts!
It is criminal how outdated and outclassed this rocket is by SpaceX's Falcons. ESA wasted so much money developing a rocket no better than a 60s design.
@@maybehuman4 I think it's the best the ESA can muster frankly. Nothing beats the innovation capability of a free market!
Wow, amazing! 😎
...wait a sec it's not reusable?!?
2024 can’t come up with a reusable rocket ? Sad
Why the sound of the engine in the vacuum of space?
Is this a kid who did the animation?
Pfff...
Dead on arrival rocket. Now they're developing a reusable rocket as well.
Without reusabillity the Ariane program is dead already, they just do not know it yet. As an European I hope we can compete with the big guys and be less dependent on SpaceX in the future. A falcon-9 like rocket would be a good transition for now. The same principles should be followed, so a single type of engine can be used and become very reliable.
@@la7dfa Ariane 6 was conceived in 2010 way before SpaceX mastered the landing of reusable rockets that's the reason it's not design to be reusable. Even if they're developing a reusable rocket right now, it will still be the same as it was in 2010 because by the time ESA fully developed a reusable rocket, SpaceX's Starship is already going to Mars. They only way ESA and other Space company to catch up is to develop a rocket with similar capabilities to Starship and not a Falcon9/Heavy competitor.
@@sfguzmani I believe they have to evolve and not jump several quantum leaps. By mastering to return 2/3 of the hardware and land they will have a chance. Then they could look at making 2nd stage able to return as well. But with more weight the rocket equation will be harder.
I guess it is not hard to see Starship is the future, but you really have to have both an extremely big budget and the skillset to develop it.
@@la7dfa Yes, a rocket development similar to Starship needs an extremely big budget. But what allowed it to happen is because ESA's Arianespace became stagnant and didn't innovate in terms of rocket, science, and software technology partly because of the monopoly that they enjoyed in the last decade or so. Now SpaceX have that monopoly and managed to pour money in developing Starship. A similar rocket to New Glenn is a good start for Arianegroup.
what are the changes? .. is beter than before? .. is less expencive? i just wonna know
A rocket they are already looking to replace
Keep the cartoons coming boys. So real!
it is pretty real, it's launching tomorrow
Perfect Machine. Perfect work in the world Perfect team in the world Perfect Mission. Thank you very much 090724.
Vamos que vamos 🧡🚀
LFG 🚀
สุดยอดสวยมาก😊😊😊
Lest go Ariane 6, Bravooo ESA
Wonderful!! Congratulations all. 💝👏💥🚀
Yes congratulations to the animation studio they hired to make this clip. It was a herculean effort. 😆
😂😂😂😂
That's an ugly rocket. It looks like something from the 60s and none of it is recoverable or reusable. What's next gen about it? Will it even fly?
There is nothing next gen about it.
It is the next generation of rocket pollution
@@nuckerball1259 If more people paid attention to space news, this rocket would be a huge scandal in Europe. So under powered, so over budget, so outdated. It is cheaper to ship the payload around the world to Florida and launch it on a Falcon rocket than to use the Ariane 6. You'll save millions on insurance alone. Scandalous.
Yeah, it's flying tomorrow
This is cartoon
The best of this animation is the birds noise. 🐦🦜🐦⬛🦩🕊🦤🐥
