Before she passed my aunt basically financially ruined us falling for a scam with just $800. I think I legit probably would have had a heart attack if someone stole $250K from me.
I love what Taylor Swift says about forgiveness - "You don't have to forgive and you don't have to forget to move on. You can move on without any of those things happening. You just become indifferent, and then you move on.”
I just imagine in the future after the episode aired the chef who made the redemption burger and son meeting at a bar knowing they had difficult relation but connecting over their mistreatment from the parents, yeah they probably not best friends but having someone you can relate your problems to helped them.
These episodes always remind me of my dad. Whenever I'm driving him around, he's like constantly trying to micromanage, giving turn by turn directions, making racist/bigoted comments, droning on about inane minutia of his dogs, and he says like, "You need to calm down, you're going to get in a wreck if you drive angry!" And I just have to say, "When I'm driving by myself, I'm fine, I'm only angry when you're here."
I think the "sold in less than a year" ending was the best possible ending for the son, really. Gordon comes in, fixes the issues in at least the short term, and then the whole thing rides that high for the absolute best sell price it could possibly get. Nobody in that family was even remotely cut out to run a restaurant, and only the son and wife knew it. But they were forced into the whole endeavor anyway. I hope they got as much as they could out of the sale.
Saw that Bar Rescue guy explain how these shows work. They run off the Shakespeare play structure; 1. The day begins and you get to know the actors. 2. Conflict is shown. 3. The main characters resist needed change. 4. Main characters begin to make changes. 5. The end in which things either make a turn for the better or worse. (roughly speaking).
Can confirm, allergic to beef and cannot eat any other red meats either. Pork falls into that weird grey area because it is technically considered a red meat, and has the proteins, so I avoid that too.
Were you bitten by a deer tick before you discovered you were allergic to red meats? Apparently there's a specific species of ticks that can cause you to develop an allergic reaction to a specific sugar and proteins only found in red meats if they bite you.
Hey Chelzor, started watching you recently and I really like your reaction content. Have you ever seen Joe Santagato's series "The People of Walmart?" Each video is only about 5 minutes long, and they are pretty wild, plus his commentary is great. My sides hurt every time I rewatch the series. Also you should watch some Impractical Jokers compilations, those guys are hilarious.
Daniel has a good job and married Mary, they had a little girl. In 2017 his older brother, David, however, got caught in a bitcoin ponzi scheme and was convicted, 32 million defalt judgement. This family is fascinating. 😂
Needed to use fresh local meat, some craft beer and pinot (it sells in upscale CA), and a professional manager not linked to the family. Maybe a lawyer as a bonus.
if you get a burger right, you can have decades of sales, we have a local burger here, which translates to beef sandwich. their is a place here, which has served them since the late 60s and no they are not a chain
Not every restaurant owner on Kitchen Nightmares is a narcissist. Some owners are just lazy while others bury themselves in busy work or are unable to take responsibility.
I would love to see you react to Canada's Worst Driver. Based on the couple reactions I watched from other creators, viewers seem to suggest S12E1, since they usually introduce the drivers and many of their backstories are crazy if not illegal.
I don't know how the cooks do it. You have this mess of requests coming in constantly as you juggle making them, some of them which have multiple components all cooking at different speeds. It's insane.
I feel like the rework on the interier i really outdate, by todays look. When I see a reaction to Kitchen Nightmares everyone always comment on the new design
honestly, dont like how Gordon change the menus in Kitchen Nightmare. downsizing is one thing, but just straight up changing the menus and not giving the chefs a few days to practice before actual service. its just recipe for disastrous relaunch.
@@Ashurman666 yeah, being a chef on Kitchen Nightmare is not exactly an indicator of half decent chef. its tend to be either the chefs are the problem or the management is the problem and the chef is a cheap hire.
@@Ashurman666 and they did messed up a bit on the relaunch night, letting a burger come out raw just because the kitchen director left for a few minutes. my main point is the way he push the menus onto the chefs in these episode, then just rush into service right away make it very weird.
“Why don’t you trust your dad?”
“You stole my money”
The dad: “…are you still on that?”
Burger Kitchen was such a crazy two parter. Glad that Danny got out of there, married Wendy, and sued his parents for the money they stole from him
honestly massive props to Wendy just for sticking with Danny through all of that
@ fr. She’s definitely a keeper
that's the news I came for!
Frigging Burger Kitchen was such a roller coaster...if you want a more wholesome two parter I'd suggest the Italian sisters episode.
I believe it was la galleria 33 or something like that
You're right! It was la galleria 33! Because the older sister was 33 when she opened it! 🤣🤣🤣
Those two are like sitcom characters
Or just the UK Version, so much more wholesome.
Only problem with the UK/Euro ones is the occasional Gordon Ramsey butt or the topless dancers in the Paris episode.
If I remember rightly, Alan's father was a mobster/criminal.
22:58 I believe the book itself says "Australia's most notorious crime boss"
Yeah that money was from the mafia maybe that's the reason why Gordon didn't want to talk about it on the show
Abe Saffron was basically Australia's Al Capone. Hell, he even got caught the same way, only crime he was convicted fro was tax evasion.
The son deserved better and the chef deserved better

SO many people that react to kitchen nightmares say they don’t like the ‘modern’ remodel, like they aren’t at least a decade old 😅
Please tell me I'm not the only one who hears the dad give his speeches and immediately thinks of Neil Breene.
Daniel later wrote a follow up book called “Frozen Wagyu Satan.”
looked that up, hopping that was true, lol.
+1 to the wooden plate/cuttingboard gang here. Just give me a regular plate with edges so meat juice doesn't go all over the place.
Chelz with part 2?! Sheeeeeit! *Makes a gallon of lemonade, throws some alcohol in, makes a couple of burgers, and sits down to watch*

Difference is bar rescue is heavily scripted

@@jaytrashwade1-1 it's called Limes disease. My mom's father has it from when he was a volunteer down in South America.

A busty half cat waifu reacting to Kitchen Nightmares is something I didn’t know that I needed.
Chelz speedrunning that intro 🤣
Love this the first part I was eating burgers now I'm eating burgers again 😂
You know what would’ve made it even funnier? If either time, you were eating burgers……in your kitchen.
@lunember95 🤣
"How do I get along with her?"
How have you made it to your 60's and not figured out how to just get along with people?

Oh god the trilby to cover the receading hairline was hard to look at. Either shave the whole thing off or get a transplant.
This one was definitely one of the most toxic Kitchen Nightmares. It’s a shame.
brick wall enjoyer 🤣
Yay, Part tewwwww
10:26 To be fair, getting all of your enemies together in one room to degrade you doesn't do a whole lot to beat the conspiracy allegations lol.
Gordon always has taste in food
i feel terrible for sayying it but his taste in interior design is mediocre at best
Nah it’s fair, can’t be good at everything. Though this was a while ago so maybe that was the ‘thing’ back then.
And he's way older than us so obviously taste is gonna be different lol
Is it just me or is anyone else allways reminded of trump whenever alan talks?
Alan sounds British to me
Remember falling asleep to this in stream lol
