If you manage large waterfall or agile projects and they’re constantly running late, I have something in this article that I know will help. Project delivery can be a minefield, personally I tried everything, but nothing really worked for me. Eventually I came across a method based on science and physics that really works. If you’ve heard of the book the goal then it’s that applied to projects. It’s completely counterintuitive.
And whilst everyone else is using methods such as agile, scrum and waterfall they're getting mediocre results. In a nine-year survey:
Agile projects and Scrum based projects were only successful 16% of the time.
And studies by the project management institute showed that waterfall projects work only 30% of the time.
And the scientific approach:
35% Lead Time Reduction
94% On Time Delivery
53% Increase In Gross Margin.
I’ve been using it for twenty years and I’ve seen it deliver projects running as much as nine months late.
