I too was outraged how late the water stone becomes available when I had been raising a lotad since the beginning of my first Emerald playthrough. Especially as it's dual grass water type and the leaf stone is much easier to find.
IKR!! the leaf stone is found right before fortree city, but the water stone is only obtainable AFTER getting dive. before the 6th gym vs after 7th gym. its totally unfair.
Milotic being my favoruite pokémon, and multiple different games using the "Feebas Tile" mechanic makes it annoying to get every time, but I always put the effort in. Great series, loving it so far!
Its scary to think its going to just get progressively longer for the captures. The format you have used is so awesome though, especially with the variety of games included in each episode. Thanks for the uploads.
Whilst not my favourite, Crawdaunt is in my top ten of "underrated Pokemon". It's such a cool design. And a really cool dual type as well. It's also got that unique feeling of being a crustation that looks extremely different from Krabby and Kingler. Such a cool Pokemon.
so a handy trick to make leveling in pokemon a breeze in ruby and sapphire is catching a full team of Zigzagoon that have the Pickup ability, then grinding out battles and farming items, which can include rare candies, ultra balls, TMs, and more. this actually applies to every game in the series going forward, assuming you can get a pokemon with the Pickup ability. This is in every game prior to Sword and Shield MUCH faster than grinding XP (which can also be done at the same time for even more speed. A Linoone with Slash and Surf can handle almost every enemy while the pokemon you are grinding out is holding XP share.)
Don’t have time to watch these all atm but this is such a great video idea, just wanted to say well done and I’ll definitely be watching the full thing!
I discovered the first video of this series earlier today and fell in love with the idea, binged all the episodes today, keep up the amazing work. Your effort is criminally underrated, I was surprised how small your channel was, thanks to the algorithm for suggesting you.
Just watched all 3 videos in this series straight. It is really cool to see you improve in so many ways when it comes to production quality. Looking forward to part 4!! :)
you can actually change the tiles feebas spawns on by changing the "trending phrase" in Dewford Town. However, it just does a random selection of the tiles. So this won't make the hunt any easier.
Emerald isn’t even one of my favorite games and I wasn’t alive when it was out, but the music in this video made me so damn nostalgic because of oras. I love how good remakes can really help Pokémon live on.
Your commentary just cracks me up, thank you for continuing these! I’m wildly impressed by your commitment to this, I would have given up so much earlier.
I'd highly recommend starting up a pokemon go account. They give you research to gain several mythicals which wouldn't be otherwise obtainable (such as meloetta or maybe even victini)
Super awesome series so far, been loving this! Really looking forward to Sinnoh next time! Especially with access to Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire postgame, there's some really fun encounters using the Latios/as Roam feature and Mirage Islands. I think the coolest part of this series is jumping to games you wouldn't expect for weird/ cool encounters, and that would be a great source of that with what you have available
FYI, there are GBA emulators that support the cartridge battery. I don't remember which one exactly I used, but I was every happy to learn that I can finally grow berries, catch Snorunt, save like a normal person and complete the Shell Bell.
I was trying to figure out who you sounded like and I finally figure it out, you sound like Jim Browning lol, same accent and similar tone and everything
I'm sure you've already completed the entire run, and just have to edit it at this point. But I wonder how you'd consider, very rarely as I can't imagine the scenario happens often, doing something like saving and reloading before an optional/split acquisition. For instance in this video you had Ninjask and Shednija, since it was technically equal timing for the acquisition of them you caught two and grinded them up, ignoring/negating Shednija completely on the first one, then grinding the second and actually getting shedinja through it. Instead of that extra grinding what if you just saved a level or battle before, evolved, got ninjask, immediately reset to before the save, deposited a pokemon and evolved it again, getting shedinja, I can't imagine the situation arises very often but it might save a few minutes. I'm unaware of if this specific situation would come up as I'm not too familiar past gen 3, or even the remakes actually, but would this also be applicable to like the latios latias gift? Assuming it was more like "choose one" and not "you get this one in this game" couldn't you get save, get one, reset to before the save and get the other one rather than grinding a whole new game? Assuming there is no need to grind the next game? Again, idk if this situation would ever arise but if it does I hope this helps
Super glad the algorithm recommended me this series, can't wait for part 4!! Just a quick bit of feedback from me, I thought the music in this one was too loud compared to the other two, and I struggled a bit to hear what you were saying at times :0 otherwise, very good video :]
Gen 4 is rather easy to do in order, especially in the remakes. The reason is because HMs don't exist, you just get the ability to use them without a Pokemon holding them in their move slot. Though, I don't know if you can catch Giratina in the remakes, so there's that.
I do not understand the feebas problem. Why do people hate it so much. I LOVE that catching method and I love how rewarding it is when you do finally find the tile. It is so much more consistent to do this than those incredibly stupid 1% random chances. They annoy me so much more, than actually working on finding the correct tile.
Awesome video! It's fun seeing the dex be cleared in this unique way, as well as just seeing a summary of all these games again, and some encounters i didn't know existed! Some feedback i have is that the sped up game footage can be a little hard on the eyes, with how often pokemon likes to have the screen flash in battle transitions or evolution cutscenes. Maybe cutting out more of those screen flashes or slowing down the video a bit when they do happen could help!
@42:29 mfw I don't have the Colosseum bonus disk, but have Pokemon Box which came with my copy of the game, which came with my black gamecube because my parents were dope and got me the special edition which came with Colosseum (I think) for my 10th birthday. That bonus disk for pokemon box also got my Jirachi :)
I think gen 5 is going to be a problem for a few different reasons, curious how you plan to deal with it. victini, accelgor, escavalier, zorua, keldeo, meloetta, and genesect
If it makes you feel any better, my favorite pokemon is anorith. All 3 people that remember it exists other than die-hard fans know it's also hot garbage competitively lmao. He's just my little guy
@@ashleyvanbeek7045 even then they both come at different points of the Pokédex either way you’ll have to try another way. The only way I can think of is through Pokemon go

I made some thumbnails for these videos if you want to change yours. I think that they would work a lot better than the ones you have now. Just comment on this and I'll send you them!
Gen 5 is going to be a pain, because victini decided it needed special treatment and be the first ever pokedex number 0, best alternative is probably just trade a victini into omega ruby from an external save, and using a duplication glitch of some kind (not even sure this exists), or just ignoring it because it's no longer obtainable by official means
Yup, Victini is indeed a horrible one to deal with, the journey to getting it is a wild one, can't wait to show my findings (also its not the most painful Gen 5 Pokémon to obtain unfortunately..)
that Jirachi at the beginning is just staring into your soul like "I know what your deepest wish is, I can give it to you."

Yeah that's frustrating

Welp. I hadn’t even considered this as a challenge, but now I’ve binged the first three videos in a single night 😂
The Whismur bum hole bit killed me lol
I don't really have anything to add, but comments are good for the TH-cam algorithm, and it should definitely bless this series.
oh yeah heres a reply :)

Pretty furious at how quickly you found a Feebas T.T
right off the bat, given Emerald was my first Pokémon game, Littleroot's theme hits the nostalgia nerve so wonderfully
I’m now just getting excited for each of the next videos to come out!
Its scary to think its going to just get progressively longer for the captures. The format you have used is so awesome though, especially with the variety of games included in each episode. Thanks for the uploads.
Pretty smart of you to get the water stone like that instead of having to basically beat the game

The Feebas luck was crazy!!
