You must've been giggling the whole time you were using the Blind to take out Old Hero, hahaha! Also, shout-out to SlamMeatInDoor; it's like a callback to the Daffy Duck "I thlammed my penith in the car door" meme from 2022 😅
y'know; with all the big gameplay features cut. world tendency was the one I cared the least for. its one of those "interesting on paper" ideas that I just did not want coming back. Now burning Bonfire Ascetics; that should've been a returning feature. Especially with NG+ cycles adding new mobs, etc.
That's something I miss about DS2, NG+ actually netting you more than just inflated enemy values. Gives more incentive to try it out than the mere aspect of "stuff just harder" for nothing to show for it but lukewarm bragging rights. DS3 at least offered upgraded rings, but with the silly upgrades Ringed City gave for free in simple NG, defeated the purpose more or less.
I’m surprised by how little challenge runs are explored in demon souls compared to the other games considering all of the unique possibilities that this game offers thanks for fixing that!
Ooooweeee a new Eleum Loyce upload!!! I've never played Demons souls or even Bloodborne cause they're ps exclusives so I have no idea what's going on but it's the enthusiasm that counts
I just wanted to say, one, that I still love how original your challenges are! No shade to other runners, i love their stuff, but a lot of the challenegs are fairly similar. Second, your voice and presentation feels a lot more natural sounding than when you first started! You sound more like you're just talking, as opposed to reading off a script. Its really nice to see the improvement!
I haaaaaaaaated the world tendency stuff in the original game. Mainly because I didn't understand it. But it is a cool concept. And being awful at 1-1 scored me the Guillotine Axe which got me through the back half of the game.

even though this is the oldest souls game from fromsoft if we dont count kings field, its definitely my most favourite aesthethic wise. kinda invokes this weird feeling of nostalgia even though im barely older than the game. its kinda sad it lacks replayability.

Another great video i bet, been a while since i touched demons souls lol, but i still remember that for some reason my sound, and only my sound, was permanently bugged in a laggy state (sometimes the game too lol but mostly sound), if i ever get a ps3 or ps5 im probably giving it another go
Huh, hadn't realized I'd never seen Demon's souls female pc without armor. Is it just me or does she look a lot like Lara Croft? This is a really fun run to see! I had no idea about a lot of the dark world content. I think it's a great shame that even streamers etc that specialize in doing blind playthroughs get told to kill themselves in the nexus, so the intended experience of having an increasingly hard time with a world and needing to go to the other ones to find solutions before trying again just never really happens. The world tendency system definitely has some flaws, but I love (what I assume is) the intent of players having wildly different experiences and pain points on their first runs.
I would love From Soft to revisit world tendency, it is such a cool feature though I never did a full run on pure black in my few runs of Demon Souls I have done.
The world tendency is a cool but unfinished mechanic. Btw have you tried DS3 Archthrones? While world tendency didn't get to the demo, they promise to make it in the full release. Really interested what they will come up with.
@@eleumloycee Yeah, Fromsoft's design feels eerie to me, sort of bleak or uncanny, while Bluepoint feels more "fantastical", not like they don't have merit, but the vibe is not the same.
If only Demon's souls wasn't a PlayStation exclusive, it was such fun i wish i could install the original on my pc and experience even more of the gem it was, I played it all the way through once and that was after they deleted the servers :( I truly think i would've been much more obsessed if i had even a bit of a taste of the online play but even as a singleplayer game it was great fun. Like i never knew about the colorless demons souls or the primeval demons and I would've loved to see them.

I still find the original designs to be better than the remake ones, especially Allant.

If you still have the physical copy you can dump it and emulate it on RPCS3, I use the emulator for my videos!
