Everyone said he would hit the wall of island life after 5 or 6 years, well it has been nearly 12 now and he has a good stable business going, some acreage of land with Dragon Fruit growing and dozens of clients in his vacation rental business. My daughter in Florida building her performance marketing firm with a few dozen high level clients and businesses. She too packed up, left New England and let go of a bad marriage and started over and now working with top level people and raising her kids to be independent and focused . Very glad to have met you and Maybelle back in 2022 at Paddy's victory party. I knew then you two would be people to watch and learn from. Keep going!

Good for you and Maybelle. I have a small business with my in Japan and we started in 2020 as well. I understand how hard it can be. Starting a business in a foreign country is hard, but it’s a better life than the mainstream jobs that are accessible to expats. Keep working and it will fall in place.

To be fair, I watched the early videos. He started in London doing a training video, moved to Thailand at the start of Covid to be with his gf, and met up with Maybelle on Phi Phi at the hotel she worked. And you can look at the video of how much he turned up with and spent. It wasn’t a lot.

Restaurant Life is very hard…as my husband had 3 Mexican restaurants and I hated it…tooooo much work! He got into the mortgage business and never looked back and it’s now been over 30+ years!

I spent one year in patong absolutely loved it then a went to Cambodia loved that as well then I came back to Australia which turned out to be a great thing for me . I have my family near by I'm part of my grandchildrens lives now i travel twice a year Thailand and Bali . I will pop in and see you in September I will spend up big haa my mate has a bar in Pattaya I'll visit him then I'll be in patong . Let me know if there is something for the bub I could bring with me .
