    The best business idea in thailand if you are a foreigner is to never tell anyone how much money you have.
    Keep all of your money in your bank account in the country from where you come from and never ever take financial advice from anyone on youtube or tiktok

    Thumbs up 👍 Richie & Maybelle……Me personally if I intended to open a business in Phuket, it would have to be with a Thai citizen. I’ve got an idea for a restaurant concept that I think could actually work. Picture this: a big outdoor fire pit with real firewood 🪵 where people can BBQ their own beef, chicken or seafood. Add to that a huge all-you-can-eat salad bar with tons of fresh options. Would also include a full bar 😎

    As you suggested, think outside the box. Be creative and innovative instead of more food and beverage venues, spas/wellness, theme parks, etc. Yes, people want something to do, something new. Thailand has evolved over the past 30 years. Thai people are more sophisticated. So, create a new experience that will result in millions of IG captures and like responses.

    Through the video and your list, I was thinking about a business, and I was hoping you didn't mentioned it, but you did, actually the last one, number 10. I think to invest in a proper location (just an empty space actually) and the equipment, is indeed a lot to invest, but no hard work at all. The people who come to the fitness, they do the hard work, the machines and weights will make the money for you. Combined with some healthy sports drinks you can sell. I'm retired here, living near Rayong. If I had the money I would definitely open one. Good list by the way !

      Sometimes the subscribers are not haters just because they have a different opinion to Richie. Some subscribers think about what Richie says then gives their honest opinion. They do not just say yes, yes, yes to make Richie feel good. It sometimes may sound negative what they say ,but by no way are the majority haters. Some of Richies ideas are not viable options as an expat in Thailand and there is nothing wrong with telling him.

    • @Landofsmiles999
      @Landofsmiles999 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @brianbarbarich1401 youre views are partly true. However, this is YT, and some subscribers are definitely haters and trolls with nothing better to do. Richie has had haters, and I've been with this channel since it started when Mabelles Garden was a bare corner block of land. I visited back in 2022 and got to meet Ritchie and Maybelle. One of the bamboo extensions was being built at the time. It is what it is, and Ritchie handles it well considering

    • @brianbarbarich1401
      @brianbarbarich1401 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @Landofsmiles999 Yes, I understand your point about the haters. If you read one of my comments in this thread, I disagree with one comment from a subscriber on possible job ventures Richie should enter into. I also give my personal reasons why I do not think the 3 job ventures would work. Not being pessimistic just realistic in my thoughts. I also have followed Richies channel for a long time and would not like to see him investing in all sorts of ventures which may ultimately result him to fall into an unrecoverable financial position. I could be wrong in my views that I give in my comments, but there are plenty red flags that pop up. I stand to be corrected but I think as an expat in Thailand you cannot even own a business. If true then this is a major issue because in my opinion investing money into a business that cannot be in my name is not worth it, and it is another red flag.

    I have lived hear for 2 years. I have been all over Thailand. What I have learned is to not buy property here for investment. The market is severely saturated. If you try to sell it and break even, you're considered lucky. Chances are, you won't break even. Never ever open a bar or cafe/restaurant because that market is even more saturated than real estate. If you want to sell food that is unique, don't share the recipes with anyone, cook it at home and put it on Grab or start with a very very small takeout only shop that has very low overhead and don't sign a long lease, and that is still very risky. I will repeat this part because it's extremely important. If you decide to open a small food shop, don't share the recipes. You're almost guaranteed that the employees will take your recipes, assuming they are successful, and go an open their own restaurant somewhere. For Fooks sake! Never open an elephant sanctuary unless you have a lot of money that you absolutely never want to see again.

    Weed shop, massage shop, pharmacy or girly bar is my advice.

    • @brianbarbarich1401
      @brianbarbarich1401 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I saw a utube blogger counting about 40 weed shops in one road in Pattaya or Phuket (cannot remember which). The blogger did mention a lot of locals not making money because imported weed is flooding the market. So in my opinion not a good business venture.
      Pharmacy in my opinion also not good business venture. You will have to employ local Pharmacist and staff and overheads will be high. Plenty Pharmacies around so I think profit margin low because of competition.
      Girly bar is the worst choice. Plenty competition, plenty outlay, bars always up for sale because not making money. Money invested into a girlie bar will erode over time if you a newbe in the industry and money will go down the drain.

    Loads of paperwork, loopholes, and competition for an expat to open a business (w/ a Thai nominee) in Phuket. Hua Hin, Jomtien, and maybe Chiang Mai could do w/ an added bowling alley. I've heard a couple TH-camrs lament the "lack" of microbreweries in Thailand. But one wonders about imports, taxes, local stock regulations, and obtaining liquor licenses. What The Kingdom has more of than anything else, are pool tables and motorbikes. Any enterprise providing accessories, equipment, repair, gear, or fashion associated w/ those two ubiquitous activities, could fare well if planned carefully, and relatively unique.
