      @@stefanroche3052 i might be very wrong but one reason to consider is that the japanese 3s scene was packed with insane players and although his skills are indeed mindblowing, he was "just" an average top player in japan on 3s and could never have achieved the domination he did on 4 on it. Being the competitor that he is, the appeal might not have been there

    I'm no Daigo Fan, he played very well, and very impressive.
    Damn some stuff was realy impressive, he got talent, and was very entertaining to watch, to sad that he left SF3 for SF4, so that his SF3 skills were later nothing compared to 2003.

      REALSlutHunter thank you REALSlutHunter it’s good to know that you’re not a daigo fan but that he played well and is talented. It really is a shame he didn’t ignore a new thriving game to stick to an old soon-to-be competitively-irrelevant game that more and more people were quitting. That he decided to showcase his talent in a new era with an explosive exponential increase in FGC growth. It was just as sad when he stopped playing SF2 as much to body people in 3S, but you gotta do what you gotta do 😫👌🏻💯🔥

      Well, Daigo has said that he doesn't like 3s at all. If you see him play Super Turbo it's clear he's still pretty good at that game, I think the loss of skill has more to do with Daigo just disliking the game and never touching it now that it isn't relevant.

    You know some of these confirms Daigo hits are absolutely insane. 11:40 he actually confirmed that cr.mk straight into MP shoryu super like that??? There are other instances just like that. Daigo always says he was never that good at 3S but I beg to defer from some of this footage. And this is from 2003 way before a lot of the newer 3S tech started coming out.

    • @Tofa_illo
      @Tofa_illo 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      yea im surprised id never seen this final before, i think its the best ive ever seen Daigo play 3s, his confirms were insane. Who the fuck confirms ken c.mk like that damn

    • @REALSlutHunter
      @REALSlutHunter 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Do you mean c.mk,dp,SA-3 ? If so, that's not very hard :) I even can do that, and i play with a PS1 Pad.
      It's way harder to do c.mk to SA-3 directly, (like at 1:31) or c.mp to SA3, and the hardest is standing mp to SA-3 directly.
      If you try c.mk to SA-3 directly, the game give you less time to connect, and you must do. c.mk -> 2 x 20-30° motion + lk/mk/hk in a extreme short time, the timing between c.mk and 2 x 20-30° must be perfect.
      If you do c.mk, and push down right at the same time, you must just slide from down right to right, and push hp at the same time, then ken will do the c.mk + dp

      Yeesh, here comes positive “racism” I guess... If they’re both Asian that explains it. Frickin’ nanosecond mastering geniuses. Same with real life martial arts. Every fighting game tournament I’ve seen, it’s ALWAYS someone far Eastern guys that win. Except for when Sonic Fox turned bitch and used Alien against that Canadian guys Mileena in MK XL.

    • @x123Juancho123x
      @x123Juancho123x 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's honestly pretty easy. If you walk forward before inputting cr.mk, you only need to do QCF for Shoryu to come out, and then you just do another QCF to activate the Super. MP Shoryu also gives you plenty of time to do so.

    • @saado99

    Yun is OP in 3rd strike. Ken's super should have continued the combo, but the devs designed Yun's super to prevent the opponent's super from continuing. Daigo showed that a lower tier character can compete with a Yun player. If Daigo mained Yun and if this was a mirrored match, it would have been a different result.

    • @Chadius

      Daigo won the first set, then KO won the next 2. It's best of 5, so KO was at match point every time he won a round.

      @@REALSlutHunter 100% agree with you. I think Yun (KO) is kinda boring doing almost the same combo everytime just to rackup damage, daigo instead i can tell hes all about the mindgames and reads and crazy combos that he comes up at the moment. What the hell happened at the end of the last match? Daigo seemed to have timed his super at the right moment but then KO just said NO and stopped it somehow. Then all he had to do was show him his ring finger. Did Daigo stop the move? Did it clash with Yuns attack?

      not sure if im necro-ing this comment section but yun's genei jin has priority over pretty much everything which is why he's top tier

    • @gold6813
      @gold6813 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      When Yun is in genei jin. All his moves (normal, special) have super art priority status. So when it goes against another superart. They will cancel each other out, but Yun will keep the remains of his super/timer bar.

    • @AneurysmXX
      @AneurysmXX 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Sorry, those answers arent true at all. Its only because Kens super start up isnt totally invincible and it traded with yuns move. There are supers in the game that have total invincibility and will beat yuns normals.

    • @GyroMan5136
      @GyroMan5136 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      if a super priority attack trades with a normal attack then the super will win, but since Yun has super priority in genei the attacks traded

    Good fucking god, Yun was beyond op in 3rd strike!
    1) consecutive genei jin's one after the other in a single round
    2) combos that juggle for days
    3) INSANE genei jin pressure
    4) +50% dmg combos easy
    How is it that Chun Li and Ken get all the hate for being broken, but no one ever mentions Yun about this game?

    • @BilalKhan-ng3ex
      @BilalKhan-ng3ex 9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I've never heard of Ken being broken! Chun is broken cuz of low short super, and her normals have hella range speed and priority

    • @Ramification_
      @Ramification_ 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nobody says Ken is broken in 3S unless they're retarded. He is 3rd best, but not broken like Chun is. Yun is also insane of course, but as Roy said, more execution heavy.

    • @dkblade27
      @dkblade27 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yun has low health. 1-2 correct reads can be a game winner. And Yun in low forward range can only do low forward xx dash punch, which isn't scary. And if blocked, he eats massive damage.

    • @Slumppy
      @Slumppy 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yun is broken as fuck, but his combos are very difficult to learn. Ken can basically link everything to SA3 and Chun-LI has a SICK SA2 which makes them easier to play.

      Las finales del Evo funcionan así. Se enfrentan el ganador del winners bracket contra el ganador del losers bracket. Se enfrentan en un duelo ft3 (el que gana 3 partidas primero gana el set). Si el que gana el set es que viene de winners, la pelea se acaba ahí y el es el campeón. Pero si el que viene de losers gana el set, entonces se vuelve a jugar otro ft3 y el que lo gane será el campeón.
      En la partida del video, Daigo es el viene de losers, y ganó el primer set 3-0, pero KO ganó el segundo set 3-2, por eso es que KO salió campeón del Evo
