I've never seen Daigo so quiet and concentrate so much on one of his own videos.
It's as if he saw this Ryu as his former self that he was trying to destroy with Dictator. XD
Sekiganryu (kanji: "赤眼龍") has already gained his fame during SF4 era (well, maybe domestically in Japan or Eastern Asia region). While Daigo was acknowledged globally as the apex among Ryus, Sekiganryu could be the runner-up.
Lol the translator is prolly a newbie cuz sekiganryu is a very famous ryu player he was the second ryu behind daigo in sf4
Daigo figured out the Ryu's style pretty fast. Since the Ryu was playing super slow, he took the life lead and then played defensively. Near the end, he even backed off to let grey damage heal from V-reversals.
Daigo's ability to adapt is really amazing.

@@TheHerrMan Idk tbh it was a really smart move. With only 6 secs most people would've gone for a grab or hit to take the life lead and avoid being timed out. I agree mentally he was drained but I think if he wasn't playing daigo he would've got away with avoiding the guessing game. In my eyes it was less desperation and more hoping/thinking daigo would be desperate.
@@angelurbina2049 I agree Angel, a lot of players at that point of the match would have probably gone for a grab or a LP/LK after the Psycho Crusher instead of block. But we all know Daigo is built differently, Lol 😅

This actually happened to me in SF4 I was challenged to not use Ken(Which is my Main or Ryu) so i had to use the least character that i don't use and i don't have mastery with... Akuma, Had to actually reach match point for my enemy before i can get a hold of it

@@LockeLeon no he was literally ranked #1 in the Japanese arcades. Infiltration plays ryu for certain match ups but that doesn't make him a ryu player. Daigo left ryu ever since ae came out. And Ryan hart hasn't been played ryu ever since 2012

That Ryu went for the classic umeshoryu in the last second of the last match but Daigo saw it coming
Ryu is a good all around balanced character. But his round house is weird sometimes the enemy is right in front and it just misses. Also playing Ryu too offensively can back fire but he can be fierce, and playing to defensively can lead to time ups making remaining HP the determining the winner. You have to play balancing both offense and defensive and keep calm to look for a moment to punish with combos and supers. But it also depends on skill level and opponents skill level. Because some people are really good at rushing with all out offensive and others got good defensive skills.
As a Ryu main thats ultra gold I can tell you rn he needs a fucking buff especially for his fire balls...his damage is fine but the issue is hes a known gimmicky character fighting gimmick characters when he has a arcade fighting style vs everyone else in this game has a stimulator fighting style....he doesn't belong in this game...
@@gallonthegreat7036 then they should update him because he is street fighter. Ryu was the only character aside from ken in the original street. If anything the new characters don’t belong because they were never arcade characters. And if it’s balancing issues with him against the new non arcade characters then just buffing some of his attacks and making some of his moves that stun should pack more of a whallop and cause a longer lasting stun. All capcom needs is someone who loves the character Ryu and do him character justice.

Ryu was really good early on in the games lifespan. People won multiple championship as Ryu.
People complained nonstop about it so Capcom nerfed Ryu into oblivion basically

That’s a good match. Sekiganryu drop cr.mk + tatsu / ex-hadou combo at 13:00 that should kill Daigo. And that ex-shoryu at the end is unnecessary. Ryu isn’t as bad as some people claim. Sure he needs more buff but a solid Ryu will definitely kick your ass or at least give you a big headache, especially the ones who can read and parry your attack.
Ryu is still a worthless bum story wise I see. This is the poster boy for sfv lol?

Once you get the hang of SFV even the best Dictator player won't stand a chance as long as you found the little opening turning it into a max deadly combo which can take most of you health low

The names of Vega, M.Bison and Balrog are swapped around for us compared to the originals in Japan.
Who we call Balrog, they call M.Bison
Who we call M.Bison, they call Vega
Who we call Vega, they call Balrog
The community usually calls these characters Boxer, Claw and Dictator to avoid confusion.

So localization took the easy approach and shifted the names. So no one could point to a huge black boxer with a name M. Byson and shout "but that's Mike Tyson!". Though it totally is😂

Bison, Balrog, and Vega got there names switched around Western Versions because of legal reasons. Because of this, you often hear the community refer to those characters as "dictator, boxer and claw." "Boxer" is known as M. Bison in the Japanese version, which is pretty obvious reference to Mike Tyson, so they switched it abroad and made everything confusing.
Capcom USA changed their names due to copyright reasons. "Boxer" original name M.Bison, is an obvious reference to Mike Tyson, even he himself didn't know that for quite some time lol.

Why bison called as vega?
Vegas real name is not vega it is Balrog, and Balrogs real name is M.Bison. The reason why it was changed in the US is because the higher ups thought they would get in trouble because balrog looks a lot like mike tyson and with a name like M.Bison it was pretty close to sounding like it as well so they switched it around for the US. Also they thought Vega for M.Bison didn't fit him, and that balrog didn't fit vega so they switched all three and this is what we got.

The way this guy VRed so hard is weird to me. Everytime he vr'ed, they got back to neutal, where he just lost to Daigo. And the he vr-ed again. Over and over. Meanwhile, he could have had a VT to make at least something happen. VRs are great, but not when you waste them just to waste them again in 5 seconds after you lost in neuch
