A special needs pigeon just moved into my house, brought his gf and it's the coolest thing when they great you and make their little dance after eating.
He'll eat the peas much faster if he's competing with other birds (not just other Pigeons). The blue bars with the general shape of a real wild Rock Pigeon are far better looking birds than most domestic breeds and ferals. In my area, dark checkers have almost completely replaced blue bars and blue checkers in our local flocks of ferals.

Wow your pigeon is so clever and you are so good at training him! I will think about how I can train my bird, but he is not food oriented and wants just wants cuddles all the time. I am trying to get him to 'speak' using recordable quiz buzzers. I have to weigh them down with plasticine because he's too light to trigger them otherwise. So far he mainly tells the birds outside they are a "good boy" when he is excited to see them and says "hello" to me when he wants a cuddle

How can I protect a pigeon friend, where I live I have seen people that captured them to eat, so I want to put her something so they can know that she has a family. I dont't keep her because she is wild, I rescued her when she hit with something and hurt her eye, but now she is free
If you can catch her put a pigeon ring around her ankle then people will know she belongs to someone. In some countries it is illegal to kill pigeons when they have a ring

I have a pigeon too but she's pretty wild and not nearly as happy to be around hands as your boy. I'm BEYOND impressed at his intelligence

😘 Hurley is smarter than any dog. Only thing my Boston Terrier did repetivaly was scoff money out of wallets.
