Hello, I have to tell you that I just discovered your videos, I have always followed many who sail and others who go fishing in their boats, the first time someone agrees with what my wife and I do, I live in the city from Miami and we are always sailing, I hope we meet at some point, I always wish you and your wife good sailing and a big hug. Captain Rudy.
Hi Captain Rudy, Maybe someday our paths will cross. All the best...
Living vicariously!!!!!!!!!! Thanks!!!!!!!!
You are most welcome . Thanks for the comment. They mean a lot to us.
Yes we are watching! Interested in your jobs. What do each of you do when you are working? Many of us would LOVE to figure out how to keep working AND live on our boat! Thanks and please keep the videos coming!
Michael is a professional wildlife photographer and I help him with his business . I am a retired educator. Check out episode #4 for some other details. Thank you for your support of the channel , we love hearing from you .
Enjoy your videos and seeing the places you're taking the R-25. The Bahamas a beautiful and offer rich content, but I love the day-to-day living aboard a boat content just as much. There's something magical in living life just outside the norm, and figuring things out together as you move through life. Appreciate your willingness to share the journey.
Thanks John , for taking the time to leave such a nice comment. You are certainly right, living outside the norm certainly is wonderful. Most of our friends think we are crazy!
very much enjoy your content! Thank you for sharing this as it is somewhat a dream for me.
Bowman, you are very welcome. Thank you for taking the time to leave a nice comment. We appreciate it, and hope your dreams come true!
I've always enjoyed watching your videos of the interesting places you go on your adventures. Also, I wanted to watch videos about the Ranger Tugs...you're the best at it. Your camera work is really good! Those were some good pictures you captured of the birds. My big question for this video is....did Michael catch any fish for his dinner?
Hello T, no fish for dinner that night ....Oh well, we had fun trying . Thank you for the kind words and glad you are enjoying the videos.
I found your channel because I'm interested in Ranger Tugs- boy you sure have shown how capable a small boat can be! Between that Canadian lake and now the extensive Bahamas cruise it's been quite a ride.
As far as I know there are only two ranger Tug channels- you and the other guy should do a video together- now THAT would be interesting!
We also did a lot of watching before deciding on the Ranger Tug. Seeing it in real life situations is different than at a boat show. We also hope to encourage people to go out and enjoy nature and have adventures wherever they are - It would be interesting to meet the other Ranger people, maybe some day!
You guys are living the dream. The water clarity in your video is amazing. We would love to make the trip some day with our R25. I bit of a haul from Washington State. In the mean time we can live it through your voyage. Keep up the good work and have a wonderful new year.
Thank you so much! Yes, Washington state would be a long haul! We have talked about exploring the west coast but the trip out there is a bit daunting.
Love these videos as I’m laying the ground work for an early retirement. I have this idea that with the R25 being trailerable, that you could have it hauled from the PNW to Florida and vice versa if you wanted. Enjoy both worlds at the optimum times of the year. Is this a feasible idea or are the logistics far more complicated? In my mind, keeping with the R25 or R27 is a game changer in the sense that you can load and drive where ever you want, including home to store/work on it when needed, eliminating the need for paying storage at a marina.
Hi , just wanted to let you know we are loving your videos! Please keep them coming.
We are motor boaters too in Southern Brittany but not as adventurous as you .
Cheers Sid & Pat 👍
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a nice comment Sid and Pat. We wish you calm waters and wonderful adventures in whatever capacity that suits you !
The quality of the photography and narration is outstanding on your videos. Having done a conversion to Lithium on our R-23, it’s quite involved and expensive, but I love it. 400Ah and I can use all of it. Love your videos!
Great job, we decided to stick with just a couple of large AGM‘s for now. We really don’t want to lose our storage space because we are gone so long and in such isolated areas. But we would love to do what you have described. Thanks
Another pleasant video: great scenery, a lesson or two, and practical Ranger/ liveaboard tips
Thanks Winkmeister!
We are excited to get out there like you folks are. Our boat is considered a small boat also. Watching your videos gives us many ideas.
Thank you
Mitchell and Pilar mv/Nobility San Diego
Glad we could help . Thanks for watching and leaving such kind words that keep us going . We appreciate it.
Beautiful pics of the birds. Have you considered gearing up the dingy to run the genny in and dropping it farther off the stern? As long as your cable sleeve is not compromised and your two ends are secured, of course.
That's a good idea. But I worry about the cable & just lifting that thing into the dingy would be a feat. Julia would like to put me in the dingy with a long line...
Quite the fish finder you drag behind the dinghy.
Oh my goodness you cracked us both up! Such a funny comment. Thanks for taking the time to post😊
I’m injoying your videos keep up the good work,I can relive our travels because we didn’t take to many pictures when we were there.
Best regards Brian
Thanks Brian , we are happy you are re-living some of your own wonderful memories through our videos. Such a magnificent place !
I really like the Modifications for the V berth area. I might have to consider doing the same for my R25 OB. 👍🏼😎
Glad to hear that. We can all learn from each other . Thanks for taking the time to leave us a comment. Safe travels to you on your R25!
Love your videos and boat. Found you as we were researching Ranger Tugs. Your videos made us decide to go to the Annapolis boat show to see a tug in person and soon have a big boat payment (thanks! 😂) can’t wait to get out with the family on the Tug. Looking forward to more videos, thanks!
Wow Keith, that is fantastic! All the best on your new purchase. We are certain you will have great adventures of your own. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a comment !
I just found your channel today 1-6-2024 and found it interesting enough to subscribe. I enjoyed your lessons regarding the white-tails and their habits? is the only description I can think of right now.
Happy to have you onboard. Thanks for subscribing. Let us know if there is anything we might be able to add if interest to you for future content . You may enjoy episode 31 with sea turtles. It’s one of our favourites!
My wife and I love seeing how you two live aboard this ranger tug, we can’t wait to get ours for northern Ontario summers. Have you found the head to be sufficient in size for showering and longer trips?
Colin, we don't typically use our head for showering . If we have neighbours, we hang our canvas on the back deck for privacy and shower on the back deck . This keeps everything dry. Thanks for watching and best of luck on your own adventures. You will love it!
Love all your videos, keep it up, thanks for making them.
You are most welcome. The video production is time consuming, but when we hear such nice comments from our viewers it really encourages us to continue. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment . We honestly love to hear from you!
Awesome video. Beautiful place. I admire you two so much!
Thank you John , that is so kind of you to say.
Great to see you, hope you guys had a good Christmas and New year
We had a lovely holiday season and are really excited about adventures on the boat in 2024. Many thanks for your support and well wishes
looks so awesome from my perceptive,
Neat to see you using a Honda 2200 generator…seems like a great option….I ‘m assuming you considered a built in generator but went this route instead for your own reasons. I assume you don’t have a/c…so is it comfortable enough (cool) to sleep at night?
Following...Would love to hear your thoughts on this....thank you....your awesome.
I did upgrade the batteries to two AGms. But the generator is still needed.
Great video
Thank you Michael! We
Appreciate your positivity
Wonderful portrayal of the relaxed pace you guys have aboard. Amazing scenery too. Do you guys prefer the calmer weather and higher humidity of Summer, or the cooler but more volatile and windy weather of Winter or early Spring in the Bahamas?
Thank you very much ! We have never been in the Bahamas in the summer. Winter is wonderful
Just curious as to what type of remote work you do. I'm sure that it is hard to stay focused with this beautiful "office"
We have a small travel tour company.
Love your channel. Please note that fishing is not allowed within the Exuma Land and Sea Park. The Warden will ticket you if he gets word. All the best
Bitter Guana Cay and surrounding areas are not in the Land and Sea Park. If you look at your charts there is a defined red line typically that will mark the boundaries.
@@expeditionseanest You are so right! I misread the chart. Wishing you all the best. Cheers
What made you decide on a 25 foot trailerable trawler than a bigger boat with inboards? You can get an older bigger boat for half the price. I'm just curious as to what your deciding factors were.
The deciding factor was that the smaller boat was easy to trailer . No marina or storage fees when we are not on the water. We tailer this boat from north to way down south. Also, the outboard allows us to have more storage space .
Thank you!!
We were so happy to see a new beautiful video released today. What an adventure you two have been on. I think you know this already, but we seem to have a mutual friend in Key Largo but we've been following you way before Gary days. Thanks for all the work and inspiration. We hope to meet you guys in person one day soon. Owen and Lynn
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a nice comment Owen and Lynn! We really have been having a wonderful time, and look forward to meeting you sometime should ever our paths cross.
Do you have a air conditioner? if so do you run it all night? Do you even need one?
We do have A/C . Marinas in Florida and Bahamas don't usually have much air movement and can be stifling . That is typically the only time we use our A/C. Sometimes we will use it briefly to cool the cabin , but out at anchor there is usually a nice breeze. The other issue is the battery drain of the A/C while out at anchor . Not really worth it.
