Man , that was freaking outstanding, to see you standing like that and dancing on the pedals brought a huge smile to my face, to think you got a 2.4 20min while employing the "stop pedalling" techniques as well, Now we are having fun!.
You inspire me to get out on the bike and keep trying to hunt down that first illustrious win as a Cat D! I’m not there yet but will keep trying! Really looking forward to Friday’s video 💪
You are a legend Ryan. I am eagerly awaiting the day you get that illusive first place finish. It will happen, you seem to get that one step closer each time. New tactics, new approaches, better fitness, higher power. You will get there mate. Well done.
Excellent effort. Could see you went deep there. I know that feeling, it can get dark as most of your mind is begging you to stop. But that feeling after is amazing.
All I can say is WOW!!! You are crushing it Condon! You were climbing out of the saddle like Alberto Contador. You're going to be joining the 'C' class in no time.
Ryan, man, that was fantastic! You pushed until you were done, and then pushed some more. Very impressive efforts on all the climbs. Full send on them all. And then that fight for fourth/fifth place was brilliant. You're improving at a huge rate. The in-game win is in the post.
Mate! I have no idea where this came from. When I got to the top of the Brae the first time and I was 6 seconds ahead on my own... I actually scared myself (like when a Dog catches that squirrel), I didn't know what to do. 😅 Aren't you impressed I fought the urge to go for the breakaway and waited for the draft?
@@RyanCondon Dude, I was impressed by just about everything in this race. You didn't sprint out of the gate, you sat in the draft for a lot of it, you eased off the pedals on a lot of the downhills. But the most impressive parts were you pushing yourself on those climbs. Fantastic to watch.
Great job, you absolutely killed it. This isn't an easy course for us bigger guys. I use the exact same strategy on small hills like the castle corkscrew and breakaway brea, power into them. Like you I'll go off the front on the climb so that if I lose power and slow down by the top I'm getting caught by the group and not dropped off the back. I'm going to try this one again later this week. In my race I lost group 1 the first time up the Sgurr and ended up finishing in the back of group 2. I'm going to go all out to try to stay with group 1 on the Sgurr.
I like the video editing! The speeded up sections help move it along. God I hate this course. Did it again this morning and felt dead all day! When I get the tron bike next week or so I’m going to do a few months of flat Time trials, short crits…and no mountains!
I did it last year in 4hrs10mins which was steady for me as I just enjoyed the day. I did a pace ride up Ditchlin beacon which is the last hill before a brilliant decent to the finish. It’s a great day of all abilities.
Great ride mate... Noticed you stopped pedaling when going downhill. Instead, u should try and soft pedal or just spin to flush out some lactic acid after a huge climb effort. Would love to ride up the muckle yin with you one day! Cheers and great effort!
I think it’s good to soft pedal if you have a long hill to descend, that way you don’t need to warm up again once you hit the bottom. But on a course like muckle yin, there are no long descents and I actually think it is a very good idea to just stop pedaling and get some refresh. It’s obviously very personal and course dependent though :)
Great race Ryan. Impressive numbers too 👍 I like climbing, but I'll not be doing that Muckle Yin again any time soon. My only attempt was back in December and I finished in 53.40, so good time mate. Keep up the good work.
You're trashing my productivity Ryan... Another video drops and so does my work. Great shift and a magnificent tussle with P Forza. I've got the beer and pop corn ready for Fridays extravaganza....but no spoilers in the trailer please!
I love this course Ryan that climb just suits me👍only done it once can't wait till it comes back. I see you have virtual gears displayed on your screen does zwift do that for virtual shifting I am just going to buy zwift play levers so I can work it with Kickr v 6 it is ideal if gears are displayed as if I do a sprint I can know the next time if I need a different gear for it but it will also be good on punchy climbs. Just coming back after illness so I don't know where I am with fitness and I am quite a bit older than you but I am still young on a bike.😃😃
This course has massively grown on me after this race. They are virtual gears, I use a Wattbike Atom. I dont know if they'll appear on the play controllers?
@@RyanCondon Do it, your race craft was good in that race, a little more refinement will get you on the podium. I will stick with my 4th on this one, lol! I enjoy your vids!
What a race Ryan, and what an amazing performance mate! You dropped everyone on the first climb! Great climbing in and out of the saddle, amazing to see and congrats on the power PRs and the 5th place 👊💪💪💪. You also got a PR for 30s too @4.6wkg! (When looking at zwiftpower if the lightning bolt is green, it hasn't processed all the data in the fit file yet, it's using live data which isn't as accurate. Once it turns blue, it has processed the fit file and it usually shows higher power numbers, especially for the shorter power durations). Cracking video and I loved the music too, reminded me of the training montage music from Rocky!

Video doesn't do it justice. The amount of standing I cut out. Had to make the vid as it felt like a benchmark race.
Fully agree - top effort fella
80’s synth music, instrumental or sung, will always garner a thumbs up.
80's for the win... Always. 💪😎

Big respect for the massive balls to sprint up those early climbs. Definitely was not the smart thing to do, though!
Power into the climbs, only way to fly. Not my fault noone else came with.
Well done legend!👍🏴
Looking strong 💪 this race felt like a turning point, awesome work!
It really was, only reason I made a vid about it. This is where I realised i don't need to just "hold on".
Looking good Ryan! First climb off front, brilliant 👍
I know! Caught me by surprise as well.
Aren't you impressed I didn't push for the finish line and held back. 😅
Boom boom Condon ….. gittin it done. Brilliant effort. 👌🏻
You will make a Marco Pantani (with a bit more hair 😜) out of yourself very soon, at this rate! Top climbing and nice race, Ryan! 💪 🚲 🧗
