As a B cat that’s just upgraded from the C’s…and as a father of 3 that’s just coming back from 2 years away from Zwift racing, i am here for this…the algorithm has found me and I’m here for the journey my friend! Ride on!! 🎉🎉
Great video Ryan! 👌 And great sprinting! 💪🏻 Fun to Watch! 😃Im sure that win will come very soon! If you are doing that race again, you can try starting at the back and sprinting from 350-400m left (or earlier) - you get very good speed downhill! Now your focus should be to train your sprint 👌 Lots of good sprint workouts to make you even stronger! Btw - i liked your change in faster RPM-sprint 👊
So nice to see your thoughts during the race - that in itself proves that you're getting better and better. When hanging on for your dear life through the entire race, it's impossible to think about tactics at all.
What a race!!!! Great tactics and power! You definitely have it in you!! Fine tune that timing!!! I was yelling at the phone LFG us bigger guys can start that sprint on the downhill slightly earlier than hammer time to the finish!!!! Way to go Ryan! Flame socks timed it well! Super pumped for you!
That was a fun watch! Seeing you for months so this was somewhat of a win for all of us too 👍. Describing your tactics and how you read the other bikers was great. Pretty cool to see you, dynamically plan throughout and really sticking to it on the fly. In that last 200m I know I would have switched past 17 to 18/19/20 and blow my hammies trying to get that first 🤣... also great race to the others 😁
Ryan not only was that a great effort but a really good content. You had me on the edge of my seat man. Great ride. It’s just a matter of time. You’re riding smarter.
Nice one Ryan! Great silver medal🥈, you played that out well, I like how you freewheeled on the descent, behind the group. You kept your cool and attacked really well at the right time, perfect. Well done! Greetings from a rainy Medway, Kent.
awesome Ryan. It's cool to experience this with you watching your vids. I had a similar experience a few weeks back, crossing the line in first for the first time on a monthly racing race. We all try to get this and I know exactly how you felt. well done.
Love it 👊. It’s great being at the top of a cat, you can move around the group, think about your next move and plan where you can attack. You looked really strong, ultimately the sprint is a bit of a lottery. 👍
So close. Great positioning and great sprint right to the line. I reckon if you had redlined 50m earlier on the downhill you would have got that. This was the route I got my first over line win.
Damn, this time I only had time to yank out one of my ear buds before the scream came at the end hahahah. I knew it was coming and was only half prepared. Great job Ryan, hope to get into a ride with you someday if our schedules match up.
Heck no! Don’t edit out that sprint scream!!!! That’s how you do it!! I saw a 1st place next to your finish!!! Also I’m starting to see the muscles developing in your legs. Keep up the good work
Amazing job on the sprint. Pinlac is a strong rider and got me on the sprint a few times when I was cat D. This course suited me well and I was able to get my first cat C podium on it. I let out a similar scream going across the line and woke one of my dogs up who was sleeping on the chair next to me.
It must of been another attempt you made at this race when you rolled me in the sprint to finish second 😉 but spotted your name and TH-cam tag and started following. 👍👍
Are you doing this on purpose for the tension and drama? 😂 The win is so clearly in the post. You did a fantastic sprint, kept your wits about you, and pulled off some great on the fly planning on a course you hadn't ridden before. 💪👊
Cheers Lee. But this win is killing me. Ive got bloody IRL Ultra Marathons to train for and I'm in my office racing on Zwift. It's got to be soon... Surely. 😉
Great job Ryan! Your sprint numbers would win a fair number of D races so you're very close. Just need a race without the guy who finished first lol. My first D cat win my 15 second power was 683w. My second was 636w but with a longer sustained effort of 542w 30 second and 468w 1 minute. Using a higher cadence really makes a difference. Imagine if you were sprinting while running but could only take 160 strides per minute. You wouldn't be going as fast as you could be. Its the same whilst cycling
Cmon Ryan! You cant have long left in Cat D the way you are improving. That is the dramatic tension - can you win on the road before being yanked out of D???? I entered this race also and shocked to realise I had been promoted to Cat C for the first time - an ugly death after hanging with them for as long as I could (1 lapish)
J West seems to have lost connection at 16:13, or intentionally turned on airplane mode, did a fairly huge solo effort, then rejoined at 16:38. Not sure how his appearance up the road from you had little bearing on the race.
Is it Friday?? 😮 Thought you rode a really smart race there. I would expect someone of your kg to be able to max out at higher wattage though. A little bit more top end might have got it done there. Anyway, good stuff as always though i think you're flirting with promotion to Cat C. Although at 2.1 there, you clearly rode within yourself, you're normally close to 2.5.
Getting closer! If you liked this race, watch this one.. th-cam.com/video/3NJJOeQHwec/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ezdvcEjXdCeLdgba

Thank you my friend and thank you YT Algorithm. 🙌🙏
Well done, Ryan. Great to see you working on spinning, and great to see level-headed, sound tactics.
I now sprint at 90 RPM. Job done. Now to get one gear higher at 90.
Friday already, how time flys
mate! you are a third of a second from that W. I will be here as always watching you go absolute bananas when you get it 😍
Thank you NW! I appreciate your support! 🙏
Great race tactics Ryan, the win is not far away now... 💪🚀💥
Great video! Your execution was spot on! Gotta love those days when the body is feeling up to the task. 😎
It's only taken 30 years. 😅
Pleased you like the vid. 😛💪
Your celebration was only slightly louder than mine…. Way to go Ryan!!!
Thank you. 😅
Awesome result! Well ridden for the whole ride, great sprint. A win is so close!
Outstanding, Ryan! So much fun to watch.
Great video Ryan! 👌 And great sprinting! 💪🏻 Fun to Watch! 😃Im sure that win will come very soon!

That takes time and time on training. I don't know. 😅
It's all coming together, very decent sprint at the end of a well managed race
So nice to see your thoughts during the race - that in itself proves that you're getting better and better. When hanging on for your dear life through the entire race, it's impossible to think about tactics at all.
you are absolutely right, as Mike Tyson once said... "Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face".
Your positioning has improved so much. Awesome job!
Thanks. 💪
Mega! Great tactics and a perfectly timed sprint! Nice one lad….. it’s getting close champ 👍🏻
Close but yet so far. Thanks Steve. 👌🙌
Great to watch, made me laugh, Thankyou, 👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks for watching. I'm pleased you enjoyed it. 🙏
Great ride Ryan, well done, love your commentary a well put together video
Thanks Darrell. 🙏

I thought my timing was perfect. Thanks for watching. 🙌🙏

I'm pleased you enjoyed my vid. 🙏🙌
Well done Ryan, that was mega!
Cheers Steff. 🙌
Ryan not only was that a great effort but a really good content. You had me on the edge of my seat man. Great ride. It’s just a matter of time. You’re riding smarter.
Thank you. I hope it's soon. 😉
That was really awesome! Way to keep it exciting and, yes, that was quite a sprint.
I appreciate that. I'm getting there. Slowly but surely.
Nice one Ryan! Great silver medal🥈, you played that out well, I like how you freewheeled on the descent, behind the group. You kept your cool and attacked really well at the right time, perfect. Well done! Greetings from a rainy Medway, Kent.
Thanks Franco. 🙏 I appreciate that. Hi from Essex. 🤚
Good sprinting. Timed it really well too with the little rest on the descent straight into the power finish.
That scream at the end was as much for the timing as my podium. Thanks for watching. 👍🙏👌
Let’s go!!! 💪 great sprint!!!
Thanks. 🙏
So close to getting that first place.
Good sprint at the end, keep up the great work, Ryan
So close! Thank you. 🙏
Seans Elizay for me dying every time
🤣
Absolutely superb Ryan!
Thank you very much. 🙏💪
It's fun to have a goal. I hope you reach it. Good luck
Thanks Kate. 🙌
Awesome job. You are doing great. Keep up the amazing work!
Thank you. 🙌

Cheers Alan. Means alot coming from you. 👍🙌🙏💪
Nice one brother, great ride, well controlled with heart rate 💥💥💪🏻🙌🏻. Still love you 😂😂😂
💪
Nicely done ryan! 👊🏼👊🏼💪🏼💪🏼👍🏼👍🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼😁😁
Cheers. 👍💪
Well done getting better every week. 714 watt peek in that sprint. Riding alot more controlled aswell.
So close. Great positioning and great sprint right to the line. I reckon if you had redlined 50m earlier on the downhill you would have got that. This was the route I got my first over line win.
Congrats Ryan. Hard work 💪 🏆
inspired me as an improving category D to be able to compete better in races!
I'm pleased. Thanks for watching. Ride on!!
Great effort !
I'm getting there. Thanks for watching. 👌🙌
Damn, this time I only had time to yank out one of my ear buds before the scream came at the end hahahah. I knew it was coming and was only half prepared. Great job Ryan, hope to get into a ride with you someday if our schedules match up.
It was only a little scream, more frustrated this time. Thanks for watching.
Great vid, and nice ride 👍
Nice race Ryan. Celebratory scream well earned. I am also guilty of inappropriately triggering a PU... it might just be a subconscious cry for help :D
Just a desperate hail Mary when I'm dying. 🙏😅
Thanks for watching.
Heck no! Don’t edit out that sprint scream!!!! That’s how you do it!! I saw a 1st place next to your finish!!! Also I’m starting to see the muscles developing in your legs. Keep up the good work
Thanks. OK! I won't edit them out. 👌🙌🙏
Amazing job on the sprint. Pinlac is a strong rider and got me on the sprint a few times when I was cat D. This course suited me well and I was able to get my first cat C podium on it. I let out a similar scream going across the line and woke one of my dogs up who was sleeping on the chair next to me.
Haha.. Always let sleeping dogs lie. Congrats on your podium. 👌💪🙌
It must of been another attempt you made at this race when you rolled me in the sprint to finish second 😉 but spotted your name and TH-cam tag and started following. 👍👍
I've made two vids on SS. It was a good race. Thanks for finding me. 🙌
Surely. 😉
Haha love this. I miss being able to compete in cat D vs being...nowhere in C
It's a novelty to be able to compete, trust me.
Great job Ryan! Your sprint numbers would win a fair number of D races so you're very close. Just need a race without the guy who finished first lol. My first D cat win my 15 second power was 683w. Thanks for the tips. I'm getting there. 🙏🙌
and .... J West must have got an Invisibility Cloak Power Up and used it to try to escape with 2km to go.
Only draft and feather on this stage. I think it was just a WiFi issue. Just confused the hell out of me.
Cmon Ryan! You cant have long left in Cat D the way you are improving. That is the dramatic tension - can you win on the road before being yanked out of D????
I entered this race also and shocked to realise I had been promoted to Cat C for the first time - an ugly death after hanging with them for as long as I could (1 lapish)
I won't leave until the win. 😅
J West seems to have lost connection at 16:13, or intentionally turned on airplane mode, did a fairly huge solo effort, then rejoined at 16:38.
Not sure how his appearance up the road from you had little bearing on the race.
It didn't, other than to confuse me and because it confused me (which isn't hard) it made it into the vid.
I just got moved from Cat D to Cat C and I never got a win in D :(
You must win in C then!!
Is it Friday?? 😮
Thought you rode a really smart race there.
Everyday is Friday this week.
Another example of why the zwift category Is totally broken 😢. This should never be a cat D. Well done 👏 on a fantastic effort again
He was a ligit D Cat, he didnt do anything wrong. If I had a better sprint I would have beat him.
I’m confused as to why you think there should be. Everything in that race looked pretty good
Awesome video Ryan!!!
I’d say almost cat C worthy 🫣
Almost but not quite. 😅🙏
@@RyanCondon keep going like this and youll be there in no time!!!
So close 🤏. I can smell the win from here! 🏆
So close!
