      @@uhlan1035 Hi, I had a positive experience with it for a week in the Alps. The weather was dry so I cannot give any wet weather feedback. If the weather was wet, you cannot sit up in it like a standard two man tent. A tarp would be a good addition for any wet evenings sitting around the camp. The temperatures dropped during the night (6-7c) and I needed to put my motorcycle jacket over me. If I was going in colder conditions, I’d swap out the liner for my sleeping bag. It should still roll up very similar.

    The fact it is canvas and relatively sturdy-looking presumably means in the pissing rain and very high winds it would be much more manageable. I had one tent blow off the side of a mountain once whilst unpacking and it basically stalled my trip for two days.

    Hey guys, really love this design for a moto-style tent! I'm looking at putting it on my 23' Street Triple RS. Looking at getting the 40L Kriega bag too but I think this ill be too big to fit inside, I was thinking of putting it on top of the Kriega and using their straps to attach is. Just hope it isn't too tall!

    Looks good! Too bad it can't become a hammock like the Lawson Hammock Tent because that featire would make the goose/toucan friggen awesome. Just sew some sort of loops at noth sides near the bottom where you could insert some poles to flatten the tent out and have the hammock set-up attachment with some guy lines. From what I've seen of this swag tent so far, it would be the ultimate multiple use moto-camp tent.

    I am thinking about it but worried it might get stolen when I am out and about at bike week

    • @wingmanoftheroad
      @wingmanoftheroad  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Craig. We’ve never heard of one being stolen. None of our team have ever encountered any problems with this either. Bikers are usually a respectful, good bunch of people. The roll can face down if you don’t want to have it on show. You can use a helmet lock to lock it to your bike also if you wish. Let us know if you have any questions at all. 👍🏻

    What are the poles made from? Have they proven to be robust?

    • @wingmanoftheroad
      @wingmanoftheroad  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi we’ve been using the same poles for 6 years now. They are a type of aluminum and we have very few issues. You can also buy spares or replacement poles on our website.

    Very much considering buying one of these for a trip I'm taking next year would you recommend the toucan for a larger rider over 6ft ?

    • @wingmanoftheroad
      @wingmanoftheroad  ปีที่แล้ว

      At 6ft you could use either model. You would definitely have a bit more space in the toucan though. What bike do you have buddy? Will you be using a luggage rack?

    Nice demo - just I find it too big and heavy for one person tent....

    • @GooseDave
      @GooseDave 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I take your point but do remember that there are a mattress and sleeping bag included. I use the SRC tail-rack system, so the width is just about right and at 10kg it is the only thing I intend to have high on the bike. The two side panniers would carry everything else. With only 300cc at my disposal, I want to travel light too, so I reckon as an overall solution it will probably work. In the past, on much bigger bikes, I have stacked high and it's a pain when I drop the bike on trails. Soon see...

  • @justinevans3504
