I’ve never had a therapy session before and honestly have no idea what to expect, which is the main issue for never scheduling an appointment in the first place. This was super helpful, thank you so much!
Ro you wont beleive this, while opening yt i was just thinking that what if Ro posted ? I wonder when she will post next! And there you were! Great video by the way i enjoyed it alot :) thankyou
Do you have any tips on remembering what was talked about during the session? In conversations, I'm too busy thinking of what to say or replying instead of trying to remember what was said. Are you allowed to record the session if you are given permission from the therapist as well?
Personally I wouldn't mind if someone asked for permission and recorded but recording the entire session might not be the most useful, maybe repeating key messages at the end is useful. I have a regular habit of asking some patients to spend the last five mins writing down the key takeaways or to stop at various points and have them take notes on their phone. Let your therapist know you're forgetting things and hopefully they will find ways to help!
Also I love how you do general and Australian specific advice. It’s really helpful to a fellow Aussie!

Is it acceptable for a psychologist to cry during the session? As a reaction to the client's experiences
Ooh great question will be answering next video! But short answer is yes (sometimes)!
Great Video but would be better without the music in my opinion
