The coin without doubt is planted, finds should be real life and not artificial. This is a great detector for it's novelty factor. The CX 2 also has nice " novelty" features like the Bell Tone Audio for example. The CX 2 AND CX 3 Look nice but the ones to go for are the ones with Power Master written in red on the side of the machine, they are 20% deeper.
It’s funny to watch these commercials weather it’s a Garrett, White’s, etc.... They always make it look easy😂😂👍. Can you imagine hunting with this in a trashy area. You’ll be wanting her to shut the hell up lol
how deep with this baby detect a dime in a air test? My Fisher CZ-3D gets a dime at 10-11 inches with sens set to 7. I pulled a copper large cent at over 12 inches!!!
There are still capable machines , they were top of the range models back then. For modern coins and rings down to 5 or 6 inches max they will find really well. The CX2 seems deeper SLIGHTLY than the CX3. Hot on Gold Rings and can slaw too!. Hot on shallow rings (4 -5 inches) made of silver.
I bought one of these in a pawn shop around 1995..it was never used and I got it for around $100 if I remember correctly..turned out I never used it either and sold it..now I wish I still had it for my collection

Remember this detector came out in the 80s or 89s, so comparing it to todays detectors is just unfair as technology has advanced.
