HOT TAKE: I truly believe that over time, the iPhone 14 Plus is the phone people are going to gravitate towards in-store or online. I think you underestimate the average consumers level of care when it comes to "Pro" features. They don't go out of their way to buy used. They buy or upgrade to what's new and in front of them, and there's nothing wrong with that. Not to mention, the 14 Plus is $200 cheaper than the Pro Max... so when your Mom or your Uncle goes in the Apple Store, BestBuy or their carrier and they compare the two in hand... they're not gonna really be able to tell the difference or justify the extra money for the Dynamic Island or the cameras. I digress.
Those same people aren’t really going to care to pay 100 more for a 0.6 inch larger screen. Yea, there might be some with particularly bad vision to go for it, but they also are easier to drop, which that market tends to prefer avoiding
14 plus is a freaking cash grab by apple, you got to be a dummy in order to buy this phone. You can buy a refurbished 13 pro max for roughly the same price from reputable companies.
HOT TAKE: I truly believe no one is dumb enough to buy the same phone as last year, but only bigger.

This phone is more so for people that don’t really care about the Pro features rather they want a big screen, fantastic battery life, and a lighter build. Though I wish it was priced lower. To my surprise this phone gets significantly better reception than my 13PM.
@@ToddReacts It would make sense to go for the Pro Max as it is $200 more. But I’ve seen many people buy the Plus at my particular Apple Store because they don’t care for the “pro” features. All they want is a giant screen and excellent battery life. Which is what the Plus provides. The price is still a head scratcher.
I absolutely adore this phone! Ive had the 12 mini for a little over a year and a half and the battery health was at 81%. My phone wouldnt even last me a school day which is 8:35-3:35. It was laggy, the battery sucked, and the screen was too small imo. Im a girl and i have bigger hands so i love bigger screens. That being said, i wanted one of the 14 series and i was stuck between the 14 pro max, 13 pro max, and 14 plus. In the end, i chose the 14 plus. I didnt care for all the extra pro features and gimmicks. My 14 plus has everything i want and need in a phone: bigger screen for cheaper price, BEST battery life (used my phone from 6:30 am all the way to 9pm and my phone wasnt even below 20%. Havent had to charge it once. My 12 mini could never!!) and a great camera! The 14 plus is a great phone with great features AND colors (i got purple and it’s beautiful) and i think if you dont want/need all the extra weight (cuz this 14 plus is SUPER LIGHT!!) and the extra features and gimmicks of the pro phones and you want a GREAT FREAKING BATTERY, get the 14 plus!!!!! 10/10!!!!
I got my 14 plus yesterday and it’s amazing, even though it’s a big screen the 60hz still looks amazing.
It does get significantly better signal than my 13PM to my surprise.
I got it today and am loving it 😍. I had the 12 pro but wanted a bigger screen and better battery. Since my 12 pro battery in just a few hours would be low and have to charge it about 3-4 times a day

My husband and I both got our 14 plus’s yesterday and I am loving it so far!
I’m due for an upgrade next month and will be getting the 14 plus. Currently have the 12, in 64 gb which is no where near enough storage in todays world. That plus the improved battery does it for me. Also want the bigger screen, and honestly don’t like the dynamic island as it is
The lighter weight is a big plus. I got the plus absolutely no regrets. I can afford the pro but went for the plus because of the weight and because I think the dynamic island is more of a distraction than the notch.
Get the 13 Pro Max. It has a Telephoto camera for the same price.

As someone who buys used phones I agree with Noah most people would rather go to the carrier store and walk out with their new iPhone 14 plus even if the 13 pro Max offers more value. They don't care about the features they just need a phone that works better than their previous phone. Also most people wouldn't go to third party sellers like Amazon or ebay cause they don't want to stress that the phone they buy might come damaged, it's understandable and to one's own risk.

I just got my iPhone 14 Plus a few weeks ago and i love it the battery life is amazing all day battery life I love the camera quality especially night mode and the big display 6.7 inch screen perfectly the best $900 I’ve ever spent on
I think at the same price people should just go get a 13 pro max, same size and chip, better display, better camera system overall, on apple’s website a better battery too, and a SIM card slot! I think it should be a very interesting comparison for your future video!

You guys are forgetting the heft and weight of the 13 pro max and 14 pro max. It’s no joke, moving up from the 12 pro max, this this is noticeable and I’m sending my 14 pro max back.

@@Miguel-Del And that is why I believe many will just get the Plus. It is a sleeper phone and will end up I think being the second best seller to the standard 14. People already think a big screen is a stretch but want that extra real estate, so if they can have that at a much lighter weight, it will make the phone easier to handle and they will gravitate towards it, add the lower cost and it's a win.
Finally, someone who APRECCIATES GREAT VALUE
I agree it will sell great at retail. Most don’t look at tech information. They see it is the same size snd will like the color. And will want it right now.
I had an 11 Pro. While the 5.8 display size was the perfect pocket size, I found myself watching more video. Even after getting the battery replaced I was not satisfied with the battery life. I didn’t need the cameras and promotion. So I was definitely excited they brought the 6.7 display to the standard. The A16 didn’t impress me either. With the improved thermals the A15 is more than enough. Having 5g is a benefit for future proofing.
I considered getting it but got a iPhone 13 Pro Max with $200 discount from my carrier.
The telephoto lens, pro motion display and same amazing battery life tilt the favour over the new features of the iPhone 14 Plus.
I really like how sometimes you say things that aren’t what one would say in a phone review video. Like when you got sidetracked playing COD or in the beginning you mentioned you’ve lots of content to record and you don’t know what’s going on 😆 you manage to keep it funny and professional

Having tried both the 14Plus & 14Pro for a week each, ios16 definitively sips power more efficiently and is less buggy on the 14Plus 😂 No idea why

I’m currently still on the Xr. My mind is now battling if I should upgrade or wait till next year. So far I kind of like and lean towards this varient of the 14. But still no any decision.

Even though it’s only a 60hz screen it’s actually pretty decent tbh. I just got a product red plus model a few days ago. Coming from an s21 plus, and this is my preferred daily driver. IMO it’s overall smoother.

I switched from iPhone 12 mini to 14 Pro, and I am loving it! However, I think the 14 Plus would have been an excellent upgrade to me too, but unfortunately, the early reviews of it were negative I just went to the 14 Pro (plus I was, and still am, blown away with the Dynamic Island and its camera).
I’m thinking of switching from 13 mini to this 14 plus.

I just got it and it’s so good so far! Came from an XR and it’s such a big jump that made it feel finally worth it to upgrade that wasn’t a pro model which I didn’t need

@@emilsecker7881 my battery health is at 76% but the only reason I’m going for the 14 plus instead of a battery replacement is because T-Mobile has pretty good trade in deal where I pretty much get it for free.

I would honestly say don't go for the 14 or 14 plus this year because the 14 is basically last years 13 with some small improvements that aren't worth it and as for the 14 plus add $100 to get the pro and get new chip, 120hz, dynamic island, alway on display, better cameras, extra camera, more premium build quality, brighter display and some other stuff so its really a no brainer. I know u invested in the 14 plus but just gotta be real with you
That’s easy to say when the 13 series pro and pro max are out of stock- some of us won’t utilize the specs on those devices so why waste money on things we aren’t going to use?
Do we use dynamic island , always on display i own 14 pro max and this two never useful to me I turned off always on display because it’s drain battery

I got the 14 plus from my carrier in germany for 560 euros, the pro max would cost 960. 400 euro is a big difference and I just needed a better battery life because my 12 mini was sooo bad

Id have gone for one of these if it had the triple camera. Couldn’t care about the dynamic turd, preferred the notch. The 120hz is nice but it’s an absolute pure luxury not something that’s a necessity, and I had a look at the screen on the 14 plus, and it’s absolutely lovely, super bright, super colourful.
Just get the 13 Pro Max :)

Try finding a new 13 pro max they are sold out or are On limited stock with only 1 carrier model left… I tried yesterday settled for a 14 plus.
@@v3xxdd753 EXACTLY. The only way to get a 13 Pro Max is used and most people don't put that much effort into getting a new phone. But if you want the features then by all means!
my biggest deterrent of getting a used device is you can't just battery swap and go on the 13. It throws service errors about genuine apple parts. Battery life on a used phone is also a concern for me. Taking in all the factors made 14 plus the best option.
I switched to XR from Android in 2020. In India its crazy money to be spent on Pro models. Currently XR is working fine. I can still use this for more 1 year I suppose easily.
Also, in my opinion 14plus is goin to be the best value for money down the line.

It’s nearly 40 grams heavier. I’m returning the 14 pro max. Might move down to the 14 pro or one of the regular models.
And let’s not forget waiting up to two months for it to come to your doorstep… I’d rather have a phone I can use rather then one I have to pay and wait for.

I bought a new 13 pro max and returned it for the 14 plus. Pro max is just too heavy and I prefer the battery life, sound and weight on the plus. Much easier to handle. ☺️

I agree it’s overpriced but it’ll only sell to the people that don’t care about the latest and greatest that the pro models have. As a matter of fact, I’ve noticed people hate the pill cut out more than the notch. Only speaking of 1 Apple Store experience.

Nobody really pre-orders the regular phones. They are bought over the course of months and years in store or through a carrier.
If you buy the iPhone 14 plus, you played yourself. You can buy a 13 pro for cheaper and it’s a better phone than the 14 plus.
