I literally cried! It’s really incredible to see a filmmaker making effort to gather all the equipments for another filmmaker, i hope he achieves everything that he is been looking for! ♥️
This was way more emotional than I planned on being at 10am on a Tuesday but I'm glad I'm 15 minutes deep in this video because this story, this act of kindness, in the middle of arguably the hardest unexpected year for everyone Danny G rallied people together to do something like this. I was locked into every second of backstory because it went from "look at what I did" to "how unfair/unrealistic are these odds? I have to do something about this" Not sure what I was expecting but I teared up when Danny & Dan first connected & then completely lost it when his mom was blessing him and thanking God. I still have 4 minutes left too but this was beautiful to see someone come through in such a major way is simply outstanding. Great job to Danny, SONY, MusicBed & everyone who donated!!

As an African creative who's been far more privileged than Dan in the opportunities afforded to me by location, upbringing, and more, you know that the difference between those who have access and resources and those who don't is often simply a matter of where you were born. This kind of support is what I love to see. It brings tears to my eyes, especially because it hits close to home. I spent four years studying film in the States, and returned to my homeland so I could be a resource to my community and fellow aspiring creatives. It's the most fulfilling work to do, and Danny has all my love and support for spotlighting a fellow human in a humanizing and empathic fashion. Generosity is a superpower, and we can solve problems many problems if we do so as one big tribe.
