One thing I always found funny about the GOAT debate over the years is how much expectation and pressure that Messi had to win the world cup compared to Ronaldo. They are both great but it has always been Messi for me. The world cup was just the icing on the cake

Yeah that comment was hard to listen for me XD Messi sees the pitch like eagle view, according to another pro players, he is different, of course sometimes he don't scores but the % of effectivity for him is just out of any mind, not only for scoring but for game making. Think about Jordan, of corus basketball is 5v5 and of course its another sport totally different, but Jordan was a game factor always, all the time, any game, at any situation, thats what makes them different.

He won the Copa America after 28 years, and the World Cup after 36 years (plus the Filanissima, winners of Copa America vs Euro Cup). Its such a Cinderella story. I think if he didn't have such an icon like Messi is, he would have been an instant football legend. Rightfully he won best FIFA Coach. First time coaching...

Talking about pressure, 2 mins in and you've already understood Messi's whole career with the National Team. He has always been at Maradona's shadow (the previous GOAT before Messi came along, both Argentinians) because Maradona single-handedly got to win a World Cup for our country and was praised and santified. Everyone expected Messi to be Maradona's heir because of all the awesome things he did week after week with his club team, but could never perform the same with Argentina. He told time and time again that his dream was to win something with the National Team and got to lose 3 finals in a row... that up until 2021 where he guided Argentina to win the first Copa America in 28 years, followed by winning the World Cup, crowning the most fairy tale-ish career ever in the history of football. Truly something extraordinary, he will go down in history as the best, most winning footballer ever

I am Argentinean, and it seems in the video that everybody who thinks that Maradona is greater than Messi is arguing just for the WC or some kind of hater against Messi and is not the case. Journalists do not depict what people think, in any case they influence that. I think the Maradona is the GOAT and Messi a close second, believed this before and after Qatar 2022.
BTW those who think that Messi is the GOAT, it is more than OK, there are plenty of reasons to think that. Also, the concept of GOAT is... flawed, especially in football since it has been changing so much. I think there are 3 tops that are undeniable Messi, Maradona and Pelé. Happy that all of them are from Latin America (and 2 from Argentina, also :)

Just fyi, offside is checked the moment the pass is made. Not when you recieve it.
So if you time your run/pass correctly, you can receieve the pass even though you're ahead of the last enemy defender, as long as you weren't at the moment the pass was made.

After his last WC or Copa America Argentinians burned his jersey's and he even retired from international football.
They hated him along time alredy and blamed everything on him, because he went to WC final, two Copa America finals and he lost every single one of the
They doubted his impact, although he is the GOAT, but he couldnt bring them the WC or Copa America like Diego Maradona did (one of the best to ever grace the game
Messi always had the pressure on him for beeing a fraud, not winning the WC and especialy fans of Ronaldo or who dislike him for his achievments hated on him too
Thats why this WC means so much for him.
He came back and in the span of two years he won everything international football has to offer, while beeing the MVP every single time and the Captain of the team.
Funfact: Messi is a true leader. There is a saying that in Argentina everyone goes silent when he speaks, even the president and there are videos of him waving a hand and the whole argentinian squad moves. He also always takes the first penalty in a penalty shootout to take pressure of his team and he also knows what speech to give.
Anyways, now he is apperently the FIFA Boy who rigged everything he has ever won in his favor and he payed the refs.
This is always on him, if the team he is on looses, it his fault
He won the Man Of The Match 5 times in this WC, this means in every single stage (group stage, round of 16, 8, Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and the Final).
He is the first who has ever done that and he won the MVP a second time (also the first who has ever done that)
On top of that he has the highest goals and assist (goal contributions) in the history of the WC
Messi dictates the game and he doesnt has to be the guy who scores the most goals in the tournament like my country mate Klose

I will explain 5:45 to you bro “20 best goals of Messi”, Ronaldo became the best player in the world in 2008 a very young but talented hard working beast who won everything, the next 4 years (2009-2012) Messi became the best player in the world and history (won 4 ballon Dors in a row) won every trophy, broke a lot of records, basically that 4 year messi was the greatest prime of all time, Ronaldo being the great player/ beast that he is became furious and worked hard and won 4 UCLs in 5 years, in those years Messi didn’t slow down but Ronaldo won everything and the conversation of the Goat started (in the eyes of people with reason and football knowledge this wasn’t a debate because Messi is an all around player, he is the best at every possible thing, best scorer, assisted, playmaker, dribbler, stamina, magic, leader) After Ronaldo won his 5th ballon dor he tied Messi but Messi went on to win 3 out of the last 4 Ballon dors and in the process broke every record, had one of his best versions and won the World Cup in the best possible way (one of the greatest runs in World Cup history) This World Cup along Messi getting his 8th ballon dor ended the debate for those who still wondered who was best even though Messi had always been better.

  • @winterbeattv
    @winterbeattv 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

First of all, trying to explain a bit further the offside rule it's basically when a pass is given to a player and said player is between the last defending player and the goalkeeper. The attacking player needs to be on the same line as the last defending player when the pass starts, otherwise it's offside (that's the gist of it, but it can get trickier).
Also, that world cup final was the most epic match EVER. We started the tournament losing to Saudi Arabia which basically meant we had to win all consecutive matches and Messi threw us a life line opening up the score against Mexico. We suffered on every match, specially against Netherlands who talked trash before the match and tied the game on the last possible minute. The tension was through the roof on the final and the end result before penalties was 3-3 (which is a LOT of goals). When Gonzalo Montiel scored the last penalty, we just broke down to our knees in tears of joy... The crisis Argentina was living (still is) didn't matter, it didn't matter if you were wearing a Boca jersey and someone a River jersey you were hugging anyway (most important clubs here whose rivalry is unparalleled in sports worldwide)… The sense of unity football gave us, we were all in the same boat and after so many years, we were able to cry in relief once again. Messi made that possible, Scaloni who never coached a team before Argentina made that possible winning both Copa America and the World Cup... As the song Muchachos says "I couldn't explain it to you, because you wouldn't understand... The finals that we lost, how many years I've cried over them"
All of that adds up to the +5 mill people celebrating in the Obelisco (Buenos Aires) and all around the world.

There was never any debate, Messi is genius. The other guy is in a position where he is most of the time waiting inside the box. Messi is number 10, he comes from behind , creates plays, perform magical assists and just the solo goals show he is nowhere near anyone. Even tough he is an attacking midfielder he has a superior average number of goals. Messi’ s average number of goals is around 0.79 and the Narcissist 7 around 0.72 Why??? Because the haters hide that Narcissist 7 has more than 150 matches more than Messi. DO THE MATH! Today the Narcissist has around 873 goals and Messi 821. Humble yourselves a little. If you eliminate penalty goals from both players , Narcissist 7: 160 and Messi: 109 , you get to 713 goals for Narcissist 7 and 712 for Messi. THIS WITH MORE THAN 150 MORE MATCHES THAN MESSI. DID YOU GET IT? I THINK I DONT NEED TO MENTION THE ASSISTS! And I am not taking into account here that Messi spent five years, after 2015, in a Barcelona team that was not as competitive as before to win the champions league cause they had serious defense and midfield problems, although he carried the team on his shoulders winning la Liga and other titles, also beating Real Madrid which had a better team. Reminding that Real Madrid won a champions without Narcissist 7 only to confirm how it served Narcissus well. Messi also spent 2 seasons at PSG where he had problems with a divided group and was neglected. In 2023 he went to Inter Miami knowing it was in the last places but he saved the team many times at the last minutes and won their first title. This is the difference between both of them. The comparison is just a rivalry between teams, cause one is from Barcelona and the other played for Real Madrid. Only delusional people could compare a genius to a guy who 90% of the time is waiting for his team mates to do the hard work for him to celebrate a tap-in like he had scored a Messi solo goal. Messi creates plays, performed unbelievable solo goals. Contrary to what haters say, he knows how to score with his head, he just don’t stay inside the box to compete with taller players all the time, he centers it. Remembering He scored an UEFA Champions League head goal at a final against Narcissist 7. His assists are amazing, he dribbles through small spaces and it was very hard to disarm him and take him down. Never pretended to get a foul like the ones who fall on the ground with any contact. He also scores many amazing free kick goals. That’s why He took Argentina which had no team filled with stars to two World Cup finals contrary to the other guy. Carlos Alberto Torres who played in 1970 Brazil’ team said in 2014: Messi has nobody to play with in Argentina. The team was not filled with stars and collectively weak. Messi was blamed for defenses mistakes before. But he carried Argentina on his back into two finals, contrary to many who won and bragged about it with a team filled with stars from the goal keeper to the attack. How many times the Narcisist did that? Inter Miami is just one more example cause they were in one of the last positions and he made all the difference. Nonetheless Even Messi with all those unbelievable solo goals recognize that without a good team he wouldn’t get anywhere, but the Narcissist think he scores only by himself. WHEN BOTH WERE PLAYING FOR GREAT TEAMS WITH NO WEAK DEFENSES AND OTHER PROBLEMS WHO SCORED MORE IN ONE SEASON??? Yes! THE TOP SCORER IN ONE SESSON IS MESSI WITH 91 GOALS. Ronaldo ‘ s fans are just like him, speak with no content. You are only narcissists and envious people far away from reality. MAnd I am not taking into account here that Messi spent five years, after 2015, in a Barcelona team that was not as competitive as before to win the champions league cause they had serious defense and midfield problems, although he carried the team on his shoulders winning la Liga and other titles, also beating Real Madrid which had a better team. Great reaction bro, please react to a video that shows the goals and passes Messi GOAT performed with Inter Miami this year and that allowed Inter to get their first cup ever. Messi really gives any team a BIG plus. almost all champion leagues Barcelona won was because they had Messi (and a great team and coach but Messi was the biggest differential). This cup inter won this year would have been impossible and Messi scored amazing goals and almost all games except one.

The offside rule: when you are in the opposing side's half of the field, you must be behind the last defender (not counting the goalie) to receive a pass from your teammate. If the ball is already past the last defender, you must be behind the ball to receive a pass from your teammate. You cannot be offside in your own half of the field. This is the rule that makes football (soccer) the challenging sport that it is. Long live the GOAT🐐

I know you're not a football(soccer) fan but you're clearly a sports fan, and you got everything right, it's a team sport, blaming everything on just one player when your team loses is dumb, and even more dumb when that player is the best player of your team and arguably the best player in the world. Good reaction, here's a like.

the only thing that makes me cry anymore is football. happiness, sadness, and everything in between. every time i hear a teary eyed argentine voice screaming: “ARGENTINA CAMPEON DEL MUNDO” i must wipe my tears away. whenever i see a photo of argentine highways filled with people wearing white and blue my heart flutters. i love football.
