I’m not saying Kane can’t win it, but Jude Bellingham is playing at an elite level in a harder league and Haaland might actually win it this year that Messi won’t be nominated.

Bruh she wasn't glazing. Messi has lost 3 finals with Argentina including a worldcup final in 2014. He was so heartbroken that he retired from Argentina in 2016(and came back). Win = 3 points, draw = 1 point, lose = 0 points, 4 teams in a group, each play each other once, top two advance to the knockout style phase of the tournament where every game is a must win. Them losing that first game put them in severe danger of in the end of the 3 games, not accruing enough points to advance past the groups.
