For me personally its the second Cancelation of Young Justice while Harley Quinn got renewed again. Young Justice was maybe the greatest Animation Superhero Show to come from DC since the Bruce Timmverse of Batman/Superman/Justice League and JL Unlimited and the greatest teen Superhero show ever made. Miss Martian became maybe my favorite Female Superhero character and her relationship with Superboy blossoming into them getting Married is something ill always treasure.
One of the most obvious ones was back in the 80's when Robin (Jason Todd) was killed by the Joker's bomb in the "Death in the Family" storyline. The one where the bomb counted down to zero and readers were given an 800-number to call to vote on whether he lives or dies. There were reports that the writers and artists were getting harassed and that DC Comics got loads of angry calls about it. Most people who raged on it weren't hardcore, regular readers and weren't aware that Robin was no longer Dick Grayson, as they'd known since the 1960's and also didn't know that Jason Todd had had many ethical issues while operating as Robin. But it was a very controversial event that enraged many fans.
Concerning that vote it was later on after Jason became popular as Red Hood that it was revealed that the vote to determine his fate was actually a tie meaning Death in the Family should've ended in a cliffhanger with Jason's fate being left up in the air, but one Batman fan who hated Jason so much rigged his phone to every few seconds call in the 800-number that you called if you wanted Jason to die basically ensuring that the number of votes asking for Jason to die would be greater then the number of votes asking for Jason to live.
I actually have a soft spot for The New 52, as it was my introduction to comics. True, the outfits weren't the best (I didn't like the collars on Superman and Supergirl).
A few more rage quit-inducing moments: 1. Nightwing getting raped by Mirage-disguised-as-Starfire and getting slut-shamed by his "friends" 2. Re-inventing Christopher Kent as an evil counterpart to Jon Kent, and retconning his parents abuse (its inclusion into Young Justice has made me give up on that show, among other reasons) 3. New 52!Earth 2 4. Wonder Woman: Earth One 5. Oliver Queen's rape by Shado being retconned into a consentual encounter 6. Dickkory breaking-up -all so that BTAS fans could have their precious Dickbabs >_>- 7. Injustice!Wonder Woman being an outright villain right from the start (whereas the game at least implied that she had gradually lost faith in humankind, ala Kingdom Come, when Metropolis was destroyed) (probably add some more later)
Another moment is about New 52 when Steve Trevor was beaten up for being Wonder Woman`s boyfriend and instead of consoling him Diana broke up with him and kissed Superman after a few moments.
Okay hot take: I actually didn’t mind the superwonder romance. Playing around with love interests and romance, changes things up, makes them a bit more fun and less stagnant.
Nah they are to closely similar for that to work, it feels like a brother and sister relationship they had, one trying to best the other both love mortals, it never felt right, Wonder Woman and Batman felt more natural
Batman in almost every continuity is always pushing those that he loves away. The only reason people like Batman with Wonder Woman is due to the animated series and even in that show Batman end up alone in Batman beyond.
I didn't like how Lobo was changed in New 52. When Slimobo (slim Lobo) was in Brainiac's collection for all eternity, Hal Jordan himself said it's better to leave him there.
I actually enjoy the Superman x wonder woman pairing but only if it’s handled by a good writer that knows and respects the characters and won’t fuck them up.
I genuinely don't understand why the New 52 couldn't have just been an alternate universe while the main continuity continued on. Make it DC's take on Marvel's Ultimate Universe concept, and I guarantee people would've liked it more.
The new 52 Superman and Wonderwoman ship only get s worse when you know the thinking behind it by the decision makers. They thought woman readers would only be interested in a Twilight like romance, which is offensive to both the readers and characters. As for the other stuff, New 52 Amazons and the entirety of Heroes In Crisis.
To be fair with Number 12, the wedding of Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle made CNN and BBC news. This story was literally historic in its depiction. Then the next immediate issue it was ruined. Of course he received death threats (not saying that he deserved it and that this behavior is ok and was a complete over reaction).
As much as I hated when they turned my favorite Batgirl, Cassandra Cain, evil during One Year Later, what I still loathe even more is that terrible, unnecessary, infantilizing duplicate of Cass called "Orphan". There's just nothing salvageable about a cheap, whimpering copy, written by a fan-writer that should've never been allowed to "reinvent" any character. Batman & Robin Eternal got me to drop all Bat-titles, after having collecting multiple books under that particular banner for over a decade. The New52 and all the dumb reinventions and lackluster stories were bad enough, but what they did to Cassandra Cain, after all the other garbage they did *before* the reboot, was the final insult. And the whole "both origins are canon" excuse (however that's supposed to work) doesn't exactly inspire confidence.
I am probably one of the few fans who actually love Superman and Wonder Woman together, of course Superman & Lois will forever be an iconic couple and Lois will forever be the love of his life. But I also felt Superman & Wonder Woman also made a great couple together, they make so much sense together as a couple.
I had no idea about all these moments, except when Batman and Cat Woman kissed and when Batman and Black Canary kissed. I feel bad for all the lives lost in some of these comics.🙁 Thanks for sharing these moments with us! These moments were interesting. All that is understandable why fans rage quit. By the way, I liked Wonder Woman's bangs!
1. The Dark Knight Strikes Again 2. Justice League Identity Crisis 3. All Star Batman and Robin 4. The Rape of Nightwing 5. The Wedding of Batman and Catwoman 6. The Death of Alexandra DeWitt 7. Justice League Cry for Justice 8. The Fall of Green Arrow 9. Wally West the Killer Horrible storylines
Superman/ Wonder Woman relationship is horrible. It would make things too easy and they are to over powered. That’s why I feel like Wonder Woman would be better off with Batman or Aquaman
I can understand people questioning when male characters with past female love interests are later written as gay but I don’t understand the outrage over bisexual male characters. It’s not like they’re no longer going to date a woman again.
@@blueizumi the problem is that when they become bisexual the writers immediately decide to give them a boyfriend instead of keeping their current then changing it down the line
@@JCCyC Oh yeah ? With Flash for being an irresponsible mommy's boy who almost destroyed the universe with Wonder Woman and Aquaman, who became murderous Jerk Sues ?
Superman and Wonder Woman was honestly a great romance and people miss the point of it. They got together early in their career because it was "easy" far easier then letting themselves fall for the humans they were afraid would get hurt or eventually die of old age. Once they realized love is about sacrifice and was never about being "easy" both eventually found the their true love within normal humans and realized they worked best as friends. It's frankly a far better relationship than DCAU Batman/Wonder Woman which is just Bruce Tim's obsessive need to have someone fawn over Bruce despite their personalities not working. Comic Diana would never so adamantly pursue Bruce and would challenge his BS a lot more than DCAU Diana yet people love it for seemingly the same reasons they hate the better written Clark/Diana Romance in which case the whole point of the relationship is a lesson for both and not just a fruitless "Will they. wont they"
That was a much better relationship then Supes and Wonder Woman, like you said it's just to easy for them to be together, one Superman always saw himself as a normal kid and didn't want to expect he was this God, so it makes sense he being with humans like Lana or Lois, and WW has always been someone that wants to take care of herself, she is always looking out for the weaker and someone like Steve Trevor surprises her by being so weak but still having the courage to fight stronger opponents, that would definitely be something that would make her fall in love with you, that's why Batman and her made total sense no one is more willing to go against the odds then Batman that would instantly make WW impressed and in the Comics that's what she is attracted too Bruce's courage and will, Batman and wonder woman are just a better couple
@@richardgutierrez26 Batman and Wonder Woman is a coupled fueld by DCAU nostalgia that completly misunderstands Wonder Womans Character, While she's been attratced to both Superman and Batman she's also been adamant about her issues with Batman to the point a Majority of PC COntuinity they were assocoates more so than Friends while both were close to clark they weren't written as being really good friends with each other to the early to mid 2000's. The DCAU in general has very poor adapations of many of the big leaguers for every great Batman or MMH, they dropped the ball with John Stewart and Diana. Diana is a big beleiver in truth, someone who keeps secrets and often cuts himself off from others would never work for her. Like I said Clark and Diana clearly worked better because they were a lesson to each other that they didn't need or really want someone like themselves. Bruce and Diana doesn't have a lesson or even conclusion. The only point of it is weak drama. Theres a reason stories like KIngdom Come play around with the idea of Clark and Diana in a world where lois and steve have died but hardly anything for Bruce and Diana because most writers know that even as friends they butt heads to harshly to work as a couple without one being heavily mischarterized. Heck the DCAU as good as it was misunderstood why Clark and lois work (partly due to WB excecs) by portraying lois as in love with Superman but ignoring Clark , to the point she becomes another victim of Bruce Timm's need to have every female character want Bruce Wayne. The only solid romance in the DCAU is John and SHayera which while decent also has to mischarterize Carter Hall/Hawkman by splitting him into an antagonist or obsessed stalker who was never her true love in their past life. The DCAU is it's own universe and I respect that but its far from this perfect craft many people think it is, outside of BTAS (Which has its own faults such as the Bruce X barbra ship) is basically the peak fo characterization but it falls ever so flat in other series often
Actually, I'm just realizing that Bruce likes to Mack on a girl. Lois Lane, Dinah Lance, Wonder Woman. Flash probably married Iris right away so Bruce wouldn't hit on her, too...
How is the Son Of Kal-El comic series' handling of the Jon Kent character not in this, I personally liked the approach... But I guess I'm a minority in this case
Flashpoint. Flashpoint. F^CKING FLASHPOINT. The very idea that a supervillain can travel back in time, mess with the timeline and backstory of his hero arch-nemesis, and then said hero can't simply reverse the changes by preventing the villain's actions in the first place (even to the extent of preventing the villain from ever becoming a villain in the first place)...even though there have been NUMEROUS times when time-travel-caused changes made by villains have been reversed simply by keeping them from changing the timeline in the first place...and in this particular case, all of this happening because the powers-that-be were hell-bent on sucking Barry Allen's schlong (and making him DARKER AND EDGIER while at the same time making his sacrifice in Crisis on Infinite Earths utterly pointless) while throwing Wally West and 20+ years of character development into the toilet's toilet... If that's not a Rage Quit qualifier, then I clearly don't know what else is.
Are you kidding? Number 1 should have been The return of Superman after Doomsday killed him off. DC hyped that crap for an eternity that Supernan was dead all to sell comics only to have him come back with a new freaking haircut!
Rage Quit: the direction they went with John Kent. First and foremost, the time skip. He could’ve just stayed young. The duo between him and Damian Wayne was awesome. We could have gotten more development for his age. A kid Superman, come on, they could’ve worked with that. But than they decided to age him. For what reason. Wanting to put him in more mature cases, give me a break. The rest just killed him completely. Oh, and the part where he is standing up for the fight against Global Warming, forget the political statement, he’s a freakin Superman, his powers could basically just cancel out the threats of Global Warming. Would’ve actually solved the problem right then and there. But nope, for some reason that wouldn’t make the “right” message, whatever it is (we all know though).
Honestly, left wing politics and multiverses made me quit comics. Which sucks because I grew up being that comic nerd that got picked on and now I just can't bear how bad it's gotten. Yes, there was a time when we needed to talk about mistreatment of minorities and the X-Men brought that discussion to light. But the race swapping and pansexual and trans nonsense is now the focus of these comics rather than a good story. I hear they wrote Jordan Peterson into a Captain America comic as a Nazi. What the fuck is that? And the new narrative that Batman should just give up his wealth rather than save Gotham again and again. Typical liberal wealth envy greed. This man dedicates his life and sacrifices for others, which is a positive message, and now we're teaching kids his wealth is somehow wrong? I'm so glad Warner Brothers and the MCU are flopping on the big screen. I've had enough.
I’ve never raged quit. I expected the Bat/Cat wedding to not happen. Maybe I’m just used to this kind of reader betrayal as par for the course. And as for the death threats to Tom King. Jeez people. Nothing in comics in permanent. Touch grass. 🌱
I haven’t read much DC comics mostly watch animated DC movies/shows,what made rage was having super man and Batman fight each other in Batman the dark knight returns also making a overweight Selena Kyle too. Having green arrow killing Hal Jordan in green lantern beware my power movie. Also most of young justice phantoms and I think I’m don’t with Harley Quinn as whole because of season 4 being so feminist/woke done with that etc.

Superman and Wonder Woman always made the *Most* sense to me.....but the vmbacklash was *INTENSE* smmfh Fans are *WEIRD*
The Jason Todd/Batgirl romance in Three Jokers made me cringe like all hell, one of the low points of recent DC
Honestly I prefer Superman and Wonder Woman being a couple
The Death and Return of Superman. Should have been #1 but somehow didn't make the list.
I’ve never raged quit. I expected the Bat/Cat wedding to not happen. Maybe I’m just used to this kind of reader betrayal as par for the course. And as for the death threats to Tom King. Jeez people. Nothing in comics in permanent. Touch grass. 🌱
Euhhh batman batgirl having sex! Still find that disgusting
I am not fan new 52 more dc rebirth
In the harley quinn show i really disliked what they did to nora after freeze sacrifice, was the last episodes i watched
Superman and wonder woman NTR'd Batman and Lois
I for one loved the Superman/ Wonder woman romance. Much preferred it over Louis lame..
hated the death of lain and NW's rape
Wtf is I’m not starfire
Hello good morning
I haven’t read much DC comics mostly watch animated DC movies/shows,what made rage was having super man and Batman fight each other in Batman the dark knight returns also making a overweight Selena Kyle too. Having green arrow killing Hal Jordan in green lantern beware my power movie. Also most of young justice phantoms and I think I’m don’t with Harley Quinn as whole because of season 4 being so feminist/woke done with that etc.
Worst DC Moment was when Billy Batson died and then they brought him back at the end of the movie. (Shazam: fury of the woketards)
The Flash movie.
