    That positive terminal seems dangerously close to the grounded aluminium shroud...

      Yep it is. I've not got some *cough* cardboard in-between.

    Notice any difference on the cars turn in?

    • @trackhackau
      @trackhackau  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hard to notice a difference from just the battery. Every bit counts. I am very happy with the cars track performance right now. Getting quicker and quicker. Shaved 0.4s off my PB last outing.

      @@trackhackau ...I'm surprised that 18kg dropped from high up at the front isnt noticeable really but as u say it all counts 😀

      It’s more of an incremental change for me as I was running the 8kg fullriver battery before the LiFePo

    Where do you make the custom mount, this is one of the reason why I am not using this battery ? It does not fit directly

    • @trackhackau
      @trackhackau  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The mount on top you buy from the same place. The aluminium plate I already had but you can just buy that from Bunnings I imagine. Others have just screwed it directly into the tray.

      They now have a full plug and play mount available.

      Track Hack , care to share the product code that is P&P?

      Berns Tanteckchi LMOEMKAM2 is the part number. It’s on their website www.lithiumax.com.au/product-page/oem-mounting-kit-for-650ca-850-lcd-900ca-black-series-lcd-r-batteries

    What are your thoughts on the Braille carbon fiber battery?

    • @trackhackau
      @trackhackau  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve heard some mixed reviews about Braille. But don’t have any first hand experience. All I can say is the Lithiumax is a lot cheaper and uses the latest LiFePo technology. I’m very happy with it.

    How is this comparing to the 3.5kgs boreas. Can I park for like a month with your Battry spec

    • @trackhackau
      @trackhackau  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No idea if you could park for a month. I haven’t tried. It comes with a trickle charger though.

    Good video. A nice install. Has that racing look. For weight savings. Have you switched to aftermarket two piece rotors? Also look at Titanium wheel bolts.

      Will go BBK with 2-piece when I eventually tune. Stock brakes only just holding out now. I have looked into Ti lugs. Those ones are a pretty good price actually. The company I get the Ti brake shims from (of which I still have plenty in stock on in the online store) also sells Ti lugs. They are beautiful but also expensive. About $400 for a set from memory. I’d like to offer those as well but I’m not really sure the demand is there. I’d probably rather spend the same money next on the aluminium subframe. Saves more weight and adds stiffness as well.

    No before and after of cranking or anything? Guessing you just got paid to install it and not actually show it off past that...
