OEM+ Brake Master Cylinder Heat Shield (MK7 Golf GTI MQB)
มุมมอง 2.8K4 ปีที่แล้ว
You know I love an OEM mod and this one is awesome and a must have for anyone with a big turbo or who tracks their car. So an oversight is that this is only applicable to RHD vehicles as we have the master cylinder next to the dump. LHD doesn’t. It’s on the other side. I bought a few of them when I got mine so have some for immediate delivery worldwide track-hack-parts.myshopify.com/products/mq...

Zestino 07RS - Best bang for buck track day tyre?
I cant speak for diffrent brands but i custom fabricated a X brace for my A3 you can definitely feel the difference. You can also tell its working because when i jack the car from the front, the back raises almost just as much. As where it used to sag a bit. The front strut brace i didnt notice much difference because the strut towers are so close to the fire wall but with both its definitely doing something.
Good vidéo!
Installing these on my 16 TTs, seems simple enough hoping it solves my slightly rough idle when I’m in park, read somewhere they typically have a 60k mile service interval? that’s wild, I’m 27 and this is my first time changing plugs, thanks for the video! hoping these solve the problem
Hey man, were those inner rubbing issues due to your tyre (wide setup)? Or is the actual rim very close too?
You sell these on your website?
Yes I do.
Cool yeah currently looking in stage 1 tunes don’t really need more then that hahah for me
Thanks for this video. It helped a lot to prepare me with what not to do :) On a Mk7 GTI ... after carefully removing the gear stick trim I used a short piece of wood to level the switch up, which breaks the tabs and pops out the switch. I then used tooth picks under each of the small tabs around the switch and a small screwdriver from a phone repair kit to lever apart the switch. I cleaned the contacts with a cotton wool bud and isopropyl alcohol. The contacts were not noticeably corroded but a little discolored. I then reassembled everything and reinstalled the same button, now without the retaining tabs, and it seems to work reliably. Fingers crossed this has fixed it. Thanks again for this video.
how do I buy one in 2024
Great info, and great tips in the comments. Got mine done in 20 mins using the 1/2” ratchet with extension. Had some old lever tools for replacing phone screens which helped remove the chrome trim without breaking it 😂
Just put new apr coil packs on my car today, and immediately noticed a much smoother cold start and idle. Thats for sure. And maybe noticed a minor increase in how smooth power came in and held at high revs, maybe thats placebo but in general car felt smoother on throttle.
No catch can for direct injection motors….. crappy part is pulling the intake manifold to inspect the top of the valves. Direct injection = catch can…

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Do I need to buy a Audi MQB 8V oem subframe to fit the lower controls arms on a golf 7.5r or can I just buy the arms?
Just the arms.
I have a 2017 Golf R Peformance pack. I found one aftermarket OEM spec Audi TTS arms it has the same partnumber (8S0407151B) and made from Aluminium also with the ball joints included. Will this one fit one the R? Are just those arms enough to give me camber and caster? Do I need to fit rear sway bar as well for better handeling and also for road use? I want a street capable car
Great video! Helped me a lot.
how much cost on all stuff pls?*
5:30 that interesting but i don't think its gonna stick right?
Still going strong after all these years!

Hi What numbers have you got the shocks set to front and rear regards Mike
Street 4/4. Track 6/8
Thanks for your reply much appreciated 👍🏻
any noise or clunking from these since you got them? still enjoying? oem top mounts?
No clunking from the shocks. I’m using Whiteline strut tops.
Ours are rusted and squeaking so its time (2015 golf)
The clubsport s has aluminium control arms
No it does not. They are pressed steel with different bushes.
Here waiting for the next video of the new hubs, see what the difference is between the clubsport s and tt ones
I know an old video.. but bought a 40 year about 8 months ago.. I’m about to do this mod.. would the original open inlet section also help cool engine down of leaving it open?
If you were running a stock oil pan is it possible you starved the engine of oil while on track? Heat usually kills engines so curious what caused this, unless it was something catastrophic like ring land failure?
Don’t think it was oil. Engine still hasn’t been torn down so we still don’t know.
Rotors don’t warp. What you’re measuring is material from the pad that glazes itself in random spots on the rotor’s faces. Rotors do not warp. In fact when turning rotors. You’re supposed to just shave down the pad material that’s stuck on there. That’s it. Rotors don’t warp

Must swap plugs once a year if youre tracking a lot
I run seperate street and track plugs now.
We never got the A050 here in the states. Most likely because Yok never bothered to seek a DOT approval for them, and they did not want to market them as a pure race tire when both they, and their competition, offer much better options in that category. We also never got the AD08RS, and given all of the lambasting reviews/opinions abjectly PANNING that particular donut, we are much better off for that! 😉
The AR-1 is more a MINIMALLY to no cut slick, than a 'semi-slick'. 😉
"I wont say how much more camber" Dude, wtf lol. This is gatekeeping via cash to the worst degree (pun intended)
Was nothing changed else changed on the car a part from tyres from the AR1 to these?
Correct. Nothing else changed.
With TTS arms, did you need to change tie rods?
No I didn’t. But I’ve heard if you max them out you may need to.
And stability on the water? I want buy it for i30n. Regards
They are pretty good on water. Would recommend.

Went to a salvage yard, pulled passat LCAs and spindles. Got both sides all included $100. Bought new hardware. Had to grind a bit off the caliper mount points to handle my ALCON calipers but overall fit was fine. Could have gone TTs but didn’t want to have to change ball joints and like the steering geometry I had. Have whiteline LCA mounts and spindle bushings. Everything else is on poly mounts with a full subframe collar. Reference coilovers with camber plates. Low investment with great returns. Decided to put adjustable rear uppers on and took care of the rear camber.
What geometry changes did you see with the Passat arms? They are longer aren’t they?
@@trackhackau These are a straight swap. Thicker due to material, but just need Passat caliper bolts to compensate. The TT-RS spindles are supposed to affect control arm height from what I’ve read, but don’t have hard evidence to that.
the not suitable for race harness printed on the rear brace component says it all lol
Thanks for sharing i’m debating to get the zestino just to give them a try on my coupe quattro
Worth a try for sure.
Thanks super helpful
70k miles of hard driving with me purposely cooling when they've got hot. THEY WARP!
what a load of bull crap!
Hey, would this fit/give the same effect on a 2019 7.5, 7 speed with the performance pack?
It will fit and sound similar. This was a manual though and had a mild Stage 1 tune.
what power do you reckon you had been running just before engine said goodbye?
230kw on the APR tune
I think you should have gone for 24mm solid H&R sway bar at the rear. This would have made more of a difference from the 21.7 stock tubular one on the Clubsport. And then balance it out with a 26mm solid one at the front. I believe this works much better.
That’s exactly what I have now
Congratulations with the SMP fastest lap 👍 Keep up the good work!
Dumbest shit ever. A hard braking situation can cause at the least an audible squeak in the brake system. This mans observations do not hold place in reality. One hard brake or a bad road condition can cause minor cracks or warping of the contact surface. I call bullshit because I have lost rotors due to heavy braking and road conditions. where is his science to back up this theory?
