This is a huge help for me, I'm a Grade 11 student and our teacher gave us a Post-Task where we have to make an E-Portfolio using Microsoft Sway. But since I don't know how to use this, I searched TH-cam and I am happy that I did because I was able to learn how to use it from you thanks a Lot!! You just got a new subscriber hehe.

I was an early adopter of Sway. Most of them were travelogues to send to the kids (who lived in 4 different cities) when my wife & I traveled. It was a fun way to share the trip with them. I haven’t used it in quite a while. I like the “new” Sway. Looking forward to starting again. Thanks for the excellent tutorial.

Hey, Kevin. I would like to give suggestion. In your videos which shows how to make something, like in sway, using stock photos or so, which are more on the "creative products" side, I suggest actually showing the final product first. this way, the audience, more especially those who are still not yet familiar with the app environtment may imagine the purpose first, then the process later. I take this inspiration from LogosbyNick youtube channel. He usually shows a complete product first, then shows a step-by-step tutrorial from scratch. that way, the audience will build a more deductive mindset. This is a suggestion, so I hope it helps.

I have used Sway for job applications. something like a turbo charged CV :) Besides looking fantastic on any device with very little effort from my side, the in-built Analytics is my favorite Info :) By copying a new version for each job I am applying for, I can see how often the respective Sway was opened and how thoroughly it was read. I am sick of sending my applications and then wait forever for a response, which very often does not even arrive. The Analytics info shows me at least whether my material is read or not. Big Thumbs Up for Sway :)

Promoting an application with a 20 minute tutorial?! Do you realize that most humans have next to no attention span (see TikTok, etc)? The most you could hope for is a 2 minute advertisement with lots of explosions and Bwah sounds that explains Sway in a fun and cool way

You neglected to mention a couple of features:
    1. You can drag and drop a PowerPoint or pdf and it will import the content.. which you can even edit their inner content on the design tab.
    2. You can export to pdf or word.
The above is very handy for student portfolios, whereby they have already generated a ton of work on various media and need to collate their work.

As you are a Microsoft employee, it would be nice to see Sway and other Microsoft products (like Windows 10) open source and free. It would be nice to see forced updates and upgrades defunct in Windows 10. Have a nice day!

If anyone wants to understand what is UI vs UX, this tool is a great example.
Great UI in terms of how it all is setup. Some good UX as well. But the eventual and final output is the finest example of how everything that you do in a product can come undone.
I personally hate powerpoint as well. But If someone would force me to choose between Sway and Powerpoint, I would go for the latter.
Kevin - If you are reading this, please work out an opportunity for me with Microsoft to work on making sense of these products.
