I have used SWAY for years to tell history stories from our museum. I wish more people used it so microsoft would update and add new features. There are advanced features to customize fonts and color schemes as well. But it was created to be a good tool for presenting media rich info without being a design specialist.
I have only just become aware of Sway (by accident). It looks as if it could be really useful for online newsletters and after watching your video, I feel confident to have a go myself immediately. Thanks Jonathan.
I have used Sway as a presentation tool for a number of years. My complaint is not being able to export as a .ppt or pptx or .mp4. Based on previous comment I feel Sway could receive additional traction if MS gave it a little more TLC. It is actually a fun product, and the finished presentations are eye catching especially when presenting to a community rather than a professional group of attendees.
Thanks Jo for the video, it is great. I have a question. When I design the SWAY and share the link, and people open it, it shows in the storyline format instead of the design play format. I have tried to change this but to no avail. Help please...
Great video. Been using since 2020 for my cross- cultural presentations, albeit without a good knowledge of all the features. Your video helps explain some of the features and what they do. My problem is the cloud only save option. It makes the app laggy and difficult to use. In fact, I had to create a backup PPT version for those occasions it gets agonizing slow. One thing i discovered recently is the use of the hamburger menu at the bottom right of the page. Use can use that to skip to any part of the sway if its quite long.
Great content Jonathan, thank you! I am trying to add my company logo as per your chapter at 04.12 but can't seem to see this option anymore. Has this been removed do you know?
Hello Jonathan, great video from you! Do you happen to know how to create a carousel for LinkedIn with Sway? Would be great if you could post a video about it. Thank you very very very much!
Hi Jonathan I have been a fan of Sway for sometime but a few colleagues are worried about the future of Sway have you heard of any plans for it to be removed from M365, or unsupported? Thank you.
One of your first opening statements has me a bit hesitant to use it. "Not Many People Are Using It." I think I might be apprehensive about creating a large number of Sways with a possibility of it being abandoned by Microsoft.
If you use the embed web part you can. I have found you have to run your mouse over it on the page though to activate it, doesn’t seem to run automatically, but see how you get on.
I'm big fan of Sway. Earlier I could place pictures to the right side and text on the left ..? Now I can't make it, all the pictures are either on the left side or in the middle. Is my memory so bad or is this possible in only some of the templates? I've tried several without luck. Hope the rumors of Sway disappering are just rumors to be ignored :)
Thanks for this, Jonathan. I'm a new Sway users and I've watched a dozen introductory videos, but yours was the best by far. You nailed it!

I have to use Sway for a project in graduate school. Your video was beyond helpful! Thanks for sharing!

Jonathan I'm so glad I stumbled on your TH-cam channel, this is great content and super helpful, you're also great in teaching!
Thank you so much bro, you just gave me new hope. Not many people talk about SWAY. Love it.
Thanks, I saw this in my subscription for years....and wondered what the heck the use case was. Watching your video was time well spent!
Thanks! I stumbled on this accidentally a couple days ago, and though YESSSS. It's great.

Thanks as always, clear quick video! :) Can you get any metrics on who's viewed the newsletter?
Using first time Micro Sway for School newsletter with the help of this video. I found this video very useful. Thank you

not sure if my line of business has this locked down to stop us using... shame, looks really useful
Klasse! Vielen Dank
Beautiful :)
Given the changes in Sway since this video, have you had success embedding a TH-cam video?

Hi, I’ve not heard that. Who knows what the future holds
I thought it was not being support - but no date for deprecated announced. Interesting- didn't see it on MS road map... ❤ sway

Didn't they discontinue Sway? perhaps I'm misremembering.
I don’t think so

All I had to do was to ask - now I found the right template for this - Style 1, variasion 2 :)
Never even heard of it!
This is one of those dinky services that won’t gain traction and that Microsoft will let wither on the vine.
Do you think?
