I am very glad I found your channel, I have been acquainted with you through features in magazines. This is a great project and I like your technique with the larger pieces. Thank you for sharing.
I thought I'd watched all of your videos, but this link popped up in my feed today, and I'm glad I saw it! How fun to see the paper being made that ended up in my piece of art!
This is so interesting. If following the same procedure but instead using 2 layers of thick paper, could the result be more fragile, easily torn? Thanks a lot.
I use only one layer of lightweight paper. Some of the papers do overlap. I would try the scrapbook paper. You may need a heavier glue. Let me know how it works out.
I don’t know how I came across this video, but I watched one and now several more have shown up. I please forgive my ignorance, but what is the purpose for making paper fabric? Is it just a different type of medium to work with? It just looks like a lot of work.
This showed up in my feed today too. In answer to your question, it's a good way to use up scraps and things. Gayle Agostinelli has several videos on this technique. She uses the finished fabric paper for journal covers. I think you could also use it for pockets, tucks, belly bands and maybe even tags. 😊
LOL... I love the sound of the paper... so much texture... and crackly... Love it!!... Thank you for the tutorial....xxxxx
I’m new to this technique but will be definitely be giving it a go today. How fun!!!!!!!! Many thanks!
You are so welcome!

This is lovely

Oh how cool! That's right, Marsha :)
Your fabric paper is beautiful! Love the colors! I enjoyed using muslin on the bottom!
artzology I think muslin is the best choice. Thanks for commenting :)
Awesome idea I can't wait to give it a try. This project got me wanted to get creative. Thanks for motivating me and thanks f

Thank you so much 😊 that's great. I'm going to have a go at doing this. Maybe use it for memo 📝 covers for Christmas 🎄 presents 🎁
That's it, Sherrie! All melded together with glue :)
Thank you so much. What a great idea for art journals! 💕💕💕
It's great for art journals. I have an online binding class using book cloth. Check my blog and thanks for your comment
I know! Two of my favorite things, paper and fabric, combined :)
If I cut strips of this material, could I tie knots with it or would it not be flexible enough?
Can we wash it ? or we should do a water resistant coat above it .
How many layers did do you use? Also, can I use heavy scrapbook paper after the first few layers?

Yes, the papercloth is strong and flexible. You can't wash it though and I don't think it is for sale anywhere.
Like this idea, might try and make a purse out of it, thanks
can you use a lace fabric instead of muslin?
Is there something you could use to seal it, so that it could be washed ??
I don't think it could be washed.
thanks for your comment! I hope you'll enjoy making it
Really nice
Great idea, I've seen that done - just done wash it!

I believe this is a variation on "book cloth" which is used for making book covers.... she has adapted it here for her own multimedia art!
can you use old shirts like old mens unndershirts
6DoctorWho You could try, but I think muslin is the best choice.
Yes Sherrie, it is just like bookcloth and also known as papercloth. I kept saying "fabric cloth" oops.
Fabric paper - muslin on the back and the paper on the top.
