      I believe that she is referring to gloss medium - a sort of gel used in acrylic painting.
      According to one manufacturer, "gloss medium gives your acrylic paint a gloss finish, while thinning and extending its volume. Or use it as a collaging adhesive and fixative."

      Helene uses two pieces of netting to sandwich/hold the viscose fibres. After the gloss medium mixture is dry, she removes the netting. The dried viscose 'paper' then can be cut up and used for Nunofelting on top of wool for wet feltmaking.

      We're sorry. This video was made during the lockdown of COVID-19, so we were learning about video making. There's always using the closed captions instead. The book Helene refers to is Isobel Hall's - 'Embroidered Books'.
