    Hey man, is there any way I can message you about a transfer case problem I’m having?

  • @jewllake
    @jewllake 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice! Should there be a very slight side to side wobble where the front drive shaft slips into the transfer case?

    • @RICKAFIX
      @RICKAFIX  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +jewllake wobble or up and down when you push up the driveshaft when it is in the transfercase? Mine has a little lash to it in the up and down

    • @jewllake
      @jewllake 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes; exactly. I just never taken the shaft out. I'm not sure if the lash is in the splines or the output bearing. I suppose if it was the bearing it would get noisy, leak oil and get progressively worse.

    What about replacing that O ring on the end of the selector shaft. Should stop the leak !

    I'm not sure this will really fix the leak. Sealing between the motor and the transfer case will prevent fluid from leaking out between them, but then the motor itself will fill with the fluid. I think the problem is a seal on the control actuator lever shaft bearing is leaking. Details on this bearing with seal:
