The people who don’t respect the craft make mention that his work isn’t special, implying it’s not actually difficult to be a 1-man-band, if that makes sense. It’s the same complaints that Kevin is being glorified for simple work, essentially. I see it a LOT from garage bands. Instead of respecting his work, they’ll just find ways to pick it apart instead of worrying about their own sounds.
There is very little bad rapport. Most people that really take the time to dive in to his music, are more times than not, dissappointed they didn’t find him sooner. He’s dearly loved by his fans, including me.
I think now people are upset that the "tiktok normies" or whatever have gotten a hold of him in recent years, and there are also a subsection of Tame Impala fans that aren't fond of his newer dreampop sound (Currents, The Slow Rush) vs his original psychedelic rock sound (Tame Impala EP Innerspeaker, Lonerism). However, for that argument, Kevin Parker specifically wanted his music to be more accessible to the mainstream, to be played in clubs and communal settings where friends just hung out and played his music, so he achieved exactly what he wanted with the phenomenal success of Currents. Either way, Kevin is a legend, no doubt about it.

I have just experienced tame impala's concert in Lollapalooza Chile and it was perfect, som many emotions and dancing and thinking and enjoying every second:3 I wish I could see them more often.

Interesting bit about the track Nangs, Nangs is the Australian slang for whippits and that was his attempt to recreate the feeling of it which, as someone who used to go hard on that shit, I think he did a great job
I heard Tame Impala the first time when I was high af when my friend put it on. We were in his renovated greenhouse out in the yard at night and it was raining heavily outside. I can safely say it was 100% pure happiness, I’ll never forget it. Especially let it happen just took me to a completely different dimension.
